   Ambiance and service were great. Deserts were fantastic. Main course was mediocre. The pork loin chop was very good...it should have bern plated on the spinach, which there was barely a bite of. The spaghetti should have been plated seperate...onstead they were all stacked together, the dpaghetti was over cooked and dry.

   I'm giving 4 stars across the board because I feel like just a few tweaks would make this place really shine... but let's get into it... The food (or most of it) was absolutely delicious. The chef isn't afraid of salt/flavor and it shows. So many restaurants hold back on seasoning which is a detriment of their food; not the case here. My husband had the pork chop special which was amazing. The grits were so creamy and fluffy, the pork was cooked perfectly through while still being juicy and tender. My MIL had the chicken masala. The chicken itself was tender and flavorful, and the green beans that accompanied had the perfect al dente crisp. I had the chicken parmesean which was delicious but I was disappointed in the portion size compared to the other 2 dishes. The portion is one thinned chicken cutlet,I feel like it should be two since it's a smaller piece already. Also, there was too much sauce over my cutlet which then got soggy. The desserts were also bit of a let down, unfortunately. The carrot cake had the strangest texture. It was just WAY too dense/stodgy. The chocolate raspberry cake was good but unbalanced. The raspberry and chocolate just seemed to compete instead of complimenting each other. The shining star in desserts was the pistachio cannoli. Delightfully crisp and rich with a distinct pistachio flavor. Service was good but stiff... almost like the warriors felt a bit uncomfortable having to go through the "fine dining" motions. (Think tiny carafes with exactly 6oz of wine brought to the table then poured into my glass) This just feels dated/stuffy...fine dining can be fun and vibrant, and they have the food quality to do it. I honestly think if the focus here was more in that direction it would be an absolute destination. Everyone we saw was very present and friendly, parking is a breeze and it's easy to locate. Definitely worth a visit!

    The dining room was very cozy. We had a long wait for our food, maybe due to being Mother's Day. The Shrimp Scampi was good along with the Penne alla Amedeo. Calamari was good. Overall the food was good but not great. Same to be said for the service.

    We reserved a midday table for three to celebrate Mother's Day. The food has improved dramatically since the previous chef was replaced. We were delighted with our three entrees: salmon Benedict, grilled chicken, and an Italian burger. Service was also just right. There was just one area of disappointment. We twice confirmed electronically for our reservation and arrived promptly. Celebrating Mother's Day, my 95-year-old Mother was with us. First, the hostess made us wait for no apparent reason, and this happens every time I visit this restaurant, no matter how empty the ding room is. Eventually, the restaurant manager passed by, and I told him we'd like to be seated as soon as possible, and so we were. Second, the hostess escorted us to the very back of the restaurant, even though it should have been obvious that it would have been more convenient for a 95-year-old woman to minimize her walking. I do not understand why so many restaurants make guests wait for a table when the tables are already set up, and the restaurant is otherwise nearly empty. It is disrespectful to guests, especially the elderly.

    We dined here for my first Mother’s Day Brunch. It happened to be the first time Amadeo’s has offered brunch and it did NOT disappoint!!! The menu was a great mix of breakfast brunch options and Italian options. They all sounded amazing, and the three entrees we chose were exceptional! So delicious, and a very large portion size for each item. The atmosphere was calming and pleasing to the senses. We had the best experience and hope that Amadeo’s will repeat this brunch opportunity in the near future and make it a regular occurrence. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

    Amadeo's has improved considerably over the pat couple of months. They were struggling for a while. This time the food was excellent (pasta bolognese, and pasta Amadeos), service was excellent and prices were spot-on. Can't wait for pizza night on Tuesday!

    Food was great. We went on a Tuesday as that was pizza special night. Had to ask which pizzas were on special because it was not written anywhere. Except for the pizza, the cost to eat out is ridiculous. We spent over a hundred dollars for three of us and two of us shared a couple of dishes. Times like this makes eating out a luxury.

    We made the OpenTable reservation for Amadeo’s, but when we arrived (driving from Norfolk) at 2pm, the restaurant was closed and locked. We don’t understand why the restaurant offered us a time slot for that reservation when it was not open.

    Was not very crowded and that is kinda good. There was a pesky service charge on our bill. Previously they had known my wine preference and I bought a bottle. This time it wasn't even brought up. The waitress could have been friendlier.

    We used to be regular customers, but overall quality of management, staff, and food has declined over the last year. This was literally our favorite restaurant until the staffing changes and management changes. We will not be going back.

    The food was, ok. The pictures online looked phenomenal, but the overall flavor with everything we ordered was lacking for what they charge you. The focaccia bread was very dry, the meatballs were borderline flavorless and mushy, the bolognese was lacking a lot of flavor as well, and the spinach and ricotta ravioli was just ok. Overall we were left wanting and had higher hopes. The price tag isn’t worth it in my opinion. We’d much rather go to Fin & Tonic that’s just around the corner.

    Our server at the bar (also the bartender) made our dinner experience even better! He was attentive and knew his wine! We had the Gorgonzola app as well as the butcher pizza. We both chose the chicken parm for dinner! All was amazing! We had no one around us at the bar and it was like having the place to ourselves. Great date night!

    This is the worst service we have experienced in a restaurant. The food on the fixed menu for Valentines Day was good but the service was poor and disorganized. In addition to being slow, our server was delivering food first to tables who were seated after us. The server also made mistakes with our cocktail order.     The steak I ordered was well done and so very dry (ordered medium) and there was NO pink. The dessert I ordered was “out” despite people still being served said dessert long after I ordered. Ambiance was lack luster— the salad was amazing and the wine pairings were great. Otherwise, for a set menu on valentines, it was disappointing overall.

    You should have gluten-free bread to offer. The entree I ordered off the menu was not actually offered. They handed us all older menus then I was not told what I ordered was not available. They just brought me the dinner with completely different sides, even though I specifically listed the sides on the menu and said that was what I wanted. So I ordered clearly. They appoligized and helped us out but 2 meals were deliver and set down at the table behind us, by accident and had to be remade, then the one correct meal served at our table had warm steak, cool veggies and very cold shrimp. Last time we were there it was a similar experience. We will not be back for a very long time. LOVE LOVE Vintage, so we will keep going there. I have reservations for next Saturday, but I will cancel them.
