Amazing tapas! Went back 2 more times while on vacation in Philly.
Food was delicious but from my table in back I could see the bottom of the HVAC filter which was very dirty; ended up being preoccupied with the air quality the entire meal...
Really enjoyed our family dinner for our son’s Drexel graduation celebration. Excellent service and food.
Not the experience I was anticipating. From the tapas, we ordered the garlic shrimp and lamb meatballs. I found the shrimp too tough and the meatballs too rich. The artichoke flatbread was nothing special. The fried eggplant was bland without the aioli. The best dish of the night was the wild mushrooms from the grill, however, nothing to go back for.
Excellent tabas menu. All the selections we made were well prepared and very tasty. Mars, our server, was inobtrusively attentive.
Delicious food and our service was excellent! Try the tasting menu or ask your server for recommendations but don't miss the garlic shrimp or grilled mushrooms!
We had an excellent dinner at this hot spot in Olde City. The service, food and wine were all very good. This was our first time at Amada, but we will certainly return again.
Wonderful food. Enormous portions. Excellent meal and service.
I can’t stop craving the crab stuffed pepper tapas! Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented. I can’t wait to go back!
The food was excellent and the portions were just right. We have some food restrictions and the waiter knew exactly what was in each dish, so there was no confusion or concerns. Instead of bread, he brought some endive as an appetizer, which was a small, but nice gesture. He helped with the wine selection (I don't know much about Spanish wines) and the wine was exactly as he described it. The manager stopped by to say hello and kept going so as to not impose.
Without a doubt some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Staff was so amazing and nice. Really great atmosphere, not too loud, was able to hear the waiter and the people I were with just fine. I was celebrating a birthday and a new job and my brother in law was celebrating his first born. They gave us champagne and even free desserts. They really made us feel special and welcome. Will be repeating customers for life.
I've been here a few times but the last time, service was spotty. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our check and close out our bill. Very unfortunate, especially since we were maybe the last big party there around 10
We didn't really enjoy the experience. The flavor profiles were different and the spices on several dishes over powered the ingredient, e.g. beef, potato.
Loved it!! Such a wonderful atmosphere!! The food & service were exceptional!! My expectations were far exceeded!!
Me and the wife when for our 7 year anniversary. Everything was great as always.
I've been to Amada before for dinner, and this was my first time there for brunch! Big Score! I brought a group of four friends, and we loved the taps selection on the menu and the great $5 cocktails. Amada's red sangria is amaaaazing! The hostess was very friendly and helpful with menu picks and I loved my cappuccino so much, that I ordered a 2nd. Also, the vibe was really low-key, not loud at all. I even saw a mother there with a baby carriage, and it looked like the perfect layout to accommodate her . I'm so glad I tried brunch here, and definitely will be back!
Poor food portion sizes. Long time customer seeing decline in service and food quality
just WOW. One of the best meals I've had 8 years living in Philly. Each dish was better than the last... I highly recommend the crab stuffed peppers! The ambiance was romantic.. not too loud or quiet, and not too crammed between tables. Bonus points to our waitress, who got chewed out by a difficult couple next to us for no good reason, and because they caused a scene over the course of my fiancees birthday dinner, she comped OUR dessert as well. So unnecessary but another sign of why they are the best! New Philly favorite!
Having eaten in Amada Atlantic City a few years back, I was interested in trying the Philadelphia restaurant of the same name. We were a party of 6 and were well taken care of on a busy Saturday night for the most part. Drinks and food arrived promptly until they didn't. We're not sure what happened - maybe our server quit of left for the night - but it took 3 people to realize we didn't have a server. All in all, the manager made it right so we have no complaints. We busied ourselves catching up with old friends until our drinks were dry. The manager was kind enough to comp us a round of drinks and dessert so we have no complaints - just wondering what happened to our waiter. Drinks were great, food was beautifully prepared, the ambiance was lively. I would definitely return!
The food was good. We really enjoy the smoked salmon! Highly recommended!
The food was actually quite good but the chef relied too much on truffle oil and flavoring in too many dishes. Also the layered desert dish to end the evening was not appetizing by all four patrons at dinner.
The short rib flatbread was amazing along with the bacon wrapped figs, although the latter comes with pearl onions that didn't really make sense and can be mistaken for the dates so if you don't like onions be on the lookout in that dish. Potatoes were just OK. Drinks and wine were on point as was the service
Food was fantastic except dessert - it was much better last time. This time dessert was disappointing.
Came here with a friend for a nice dinner after a conference. The meat plate and cheese plate were delicious and interesting. Then we has the octopus, fried eggplant, and lamb chops. They were all so good. Will definitely go back next time I am in Philadelphia.
Food was excellent and service very good. Very enjoyable birthday meal with family.
The food was extremely salty and unbearably greasy. The paella Valenciana, I ordered, was red instead of yellow, the chicken pieces were full of skin, fat and bones. The worst paella ever. I could not eat it. I was afraid to tell the waiter and so I told him to wrap it and take it home. Then, I threw it in the garbage.
Happy Hour on Monday...unlike many restaurants which only include so so apps on the menu, Amada includes many favorites. Same with alcohol offerings. Everything we had, which also included several tapas, was delicious. Great flavors and presentation. Order whatever appeals to you, everything is excellent. Officially now my favorite restaurant in Philly!
As always, the food was delicious but the service was pretty poor.
Amazing food, music and great wine selection. Must go if you like Spanish food.
We have diner at Amada on a couple of occasions. The selection of tapas was excellent. Nick and others took great care of us.
Not accommodating for vegans. Drink prices were very good, food was okay. Service was not good
I have been to Amada numerous times over the years but I was disappointed with my last outing. In the past I have never felt rushed as a matter of fact I liked how the meal was paced. This’s last time it seemed like they could get us out the door fast enough. The plates arrived at our table in quick succession not giving us time to enjoy and savor the food. My reservation was at 2:00 and the check was given to me a 2:45. I could get that kind of meal at my local diner. It was a real shame. To top it off it was my birthday and I couldn’t even enjoy my family’s company.
Such a beautiful meal and experience. This is a must try place.
Restaurant was closed by the board of health.
I was there to celebrate my girlfriends birthdate and was offered nothing for my inconvenience.
turned away at the door.
We where forced to find another restaurant ,last minute.
Had a group of 5 and we ordered a lot of different dishes to share. Everyone was loving it and the food was and service terrific!
We had an excellent meal, mostly from the happy hour menu.
Wish we had gone to this restaurant before our last evening in Philly. We would have eaten here several more times. I am a huge fan of tapas and these were exceptional. My husband and I got 5 different plates and each was perfect. Vegetable Flatbread was the best I've ever had. The potatoes were delicious and attractive at the same time. The cheese plate we chose was a bleu cheese type and couldn't have been better. My husband also got a bean soup as well and said he would get it again and again. The restaurant is somewhat loud, but it was expected. Even though I have slight hearing loss, I could easily have a conversation with my husband. Staff is very attentive and helpful.
Great restaurant, great food, not great for having a conversation without shouting to be heard & we were in a corner. But definitely a great meal
Overall it's as people have mention in previous reviews....great place and very good food. I just think it's not a good value for the high prices.
