Alpenrose is truly the Vail experience! We love it for both Apre and dinner. Their sister restaurant Almresi is also one of our favorites.

Best German-Austrian restaurant in Vail. The cheese fondue was very well prepared, and you can get it with carrots. Wiener schnitzel was also outstanding. Salmon with house made pasta is also very delicious. Will be back!

They did take my suggestion and put us in a cozy spot and the food was good. However, our water bottle was never refilled and the server rarely checked on us. I was going to get dessert but passed after waiting 20 minutes for our sever to arrive. Unsure if we’ll return.

Beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately the service and quality of food bring it down. Service staff is unable to change orders, not even 15 seconds after you order while still holding the menu. Staff can be inattentive at times forgetting simple things like water, plate changes, and utensil. Ambiance makes the place shine and the cocktails are pretty good.

German food generally good. Pork shank very good. Schnitzel average. Carbonara good. Vegetable curry okay. Portions small. Reason for poor rating is service. Drinks came after we started eating our main course. Two entrees came way after the first two entrées. Charged us 3 dollars for whipped cream on the apple strudel when we never asked for whipped cream.

The decorations and theme were very lovely and fitting for a ski town. However you could find better quality food at Disney world. The only good thing is that it was not outrageously expensive. However for the quality of food it should have been half as expensive

We started the meal with the fondue and added broccoli to that order - delicious! My husband had the schnitzel dinner and I had the veal goulash. Both were amazing! Our server, JoJo was a delight and service was prompt. Highly recommend!

We had lunch here as a break from skiing. The place is so quaint and the food is Swiss themed and super yummy! I highly recommend the flaming mulled wine drink!! Can’t remember the Swiss name but it awesome!!! Highly recommend!
