Our cuisine is characterised by the specialities of the Alps. From our starters like the Swiss cheese fondue traditionally prepared with cherry brandy to our traditional Pretzel. One of our favorite entrees is the pork shank with mashed potatoes and our very tasty German sauerkraut. As a sweet finish we recommend our authentic German apple strudel with vanilla sauce. It’s such a beautiful Austrian restaurant. I felt like I was skiing in the Alps and arrived at a lodge for dinner. A real European experience. I have missed this in Aspen until now. The food was delicious!

Really enjoyed the overall vibe at this cute Bavarian restaurant. Truffle cheese, fondue, and chocolate fondue. We’re just what we were looking for. We had the smoked trout beet salad in between which was a perfect refresher and super delicious and beautiful. Gruner Veltliner paired Very well with the salad and ther German Pinot noir went great with the truffle cheese fondu.

The atmosphere makes it a special dining experience. They pay attention to every detail from the design decor to the presentation of every food and drink item that was brought to the table. Each item was presented in a special way and tasted as good as it looked. Great value and great Aspen dining.

Very cozy restaurant ! Veal Gulasch and keisershmarn is excellent!! Like the way they present the food. Music and food is German like the music in background. Definitely coming back ! Wish they would add Wiener schnitzel to their menu:)

Loved Almresi! Felt like I was back in Austria! Tom took great care of us! We'll be back for sure! Wish they had a bar menu so just two of us could grab a smaller plate at that pretty bar on an off night without the family! Most of the other places in Aspen do this and it's really nice.

The restaurant has always been one of my favorites but this trip it was a disappointment. The restaurant was way too bright, way I don’t know-but some soft lighting would have been greatly appreciated. In addition the trout salad (picked beet medley was inedible, like mush). The trout was nice and the lettuce was fresh but smothered with the pickled beet medley so I couldn’t eat it. The bread slices on the plate were stale and tasteless. The wine was as expensive very. In a last ditch effort I ordered a pretzel, it was cold and dry. I asked if that was intended and told no, and the waiter did bring out a warm one and that made the world of difference so at least I didn’t leave starving. I don’t know if I’ll be back, which is a shame it’s such a cute place.

Love this place so much! It is cozy and the staff is wonderful as well as the food. The mountain spritzer is their version of an aeperol spritz and it is delicious! My new favorite place!

Wonderful ambiance, quaint, cozy, quiet. Pork shank was exceptional and the salmon pasta dish lacked a little flavor. The salad was gorgeous and delicious. Will definitely return but order something other than salmon.

I went on a date with my girlfriend Sunday January 8th. The food was incredible. For drinks we got the Mountain Spritz as an apertif, 2 shots of the zirbenschnaps, a liter of beer, and 2 shots of the Schladerer Schnaps. The zirbenschnaps was the most interesting taste, it wasn't as pine-coney as I was thinking it would be. For apps we got the Rosti balchen, and fondue. We could've eaten 3 orders of the Rostis they were so good. For mains we got the pork shank and the goulash. All of the meat was unbelievably tender. The ambiance was really cool and the server was great. We had Jasmin and she rocked it and had great recommendations. All in all we will be coming back here again.

I have not one bad thing to say about this restaurant! The decor was lovely and interesting. The craft cocktails were unique and super delicious. Nothing was overly sweet. And all of the food was fantastic! We started off with two types of fondue, and then we all passed around bites of our main dishes. I think we all agreed that the schnitzel was everyone’s favorite. Can’t wait to go back!
