    We invited some friends out who were also clients. What a great treat! It was a little celebration on a business matter and we wanted to make it a nice time out. The restaurant really delivered! While they did not carry the Champagne we wanted there was an incredible substation that was just as wonderful. The service was really good and the food was special. Go there…..you will love it.

    The meal was delicious and the service very good. The lack of beef on the menu was disappointing and I only found out about the ribeye being available because I asked! The excuse for no hamburger was that A&V ran out….. how do you run out of hamburger meat? The worst part about the meal was the noise level, which was extremely loud; either the acoustics inside middle aisle is very bad or there were extremely loud “talkers” near us. In future we will definitely sit outside. The food, ribeye and potatoes, was excellent , as was the chocolate martini.

    Overall, would recommend. Food and ambience is great. Service needs work. Okay, I get that I have to pay premium for a group reservation (8, includes 1 well-behaved 5yo), but 20% automatic gratuity seems steep when the bill is already high. In my case, ended up paying around $100 for tip. Fine, but I expect excellent service, which we didn't receive. To clarify, everyone BUT our main server (tall African-American gent with a pony tail) was great. Seemed like everyone else was covering for the main server. At one point even the host was pitching in. It bothered me that the server kind of forced us to submit the entire order during what would normally time to submit the drinks and apps order. You might question if he actually "forced" us, but what else do you call it when his tone gets really serious and sassy when I asked to just submit the apps first? I understand this is more efficient for the staff, but that should also mean better service from them. Also, he avoided eye contact when we tried to get his attention and we waited about 20 minutes after the table was cleared to get the bill. I would assume they would want to turn the table over faster, but it didn't seem the case. With a better, more courteous/kind server, this experience could have been great.

    Pretty underwhelming, you can get a much better meal at other restaurants at this price point. The steak and the tuna crudo were both a bit bland and disappointing. The mussels were delicious though.

    We love this place. Outstanding food with a changing menu. It is our go to place for celebrations. I have never had a dish there that was anything but awe inspiring. Run, do not walk to get some of the best creative food Alameda has to offer.

    Not crowded on a Monday evening and well served by our waiter. We ordered three small bites and two small plates and it was quite adequate for us. Each dish was delicious. The milk bread was really tasty. We capped it off with the olive cake for dessert which we also shared.

    First time here. They were Celebrating Peruvian Independence Day, so there was the special Thursday night pre-fixed menu and a Peruvian singing group ( music was a bit loud, sound bounced off interior, especially upstairs where we were seated). Greeted & excellent service. Lilly was especially nice. Menu is limited and somewhat pricey. I got the Thursday night Peruvian Special. All was pretty good. Started w/ cocktail, which I enjoyed. The Potato/ beet salad was good but too large a portion, given there were other courses. The main was really good ( Beef Short Ribs w/ beans, rice) & Dessert was Rice Pudding w/ a tart sauce. Just ok. The sauce was too tart. My husband decided to have the Pork Chop $68- it came chopped up to share ( portion for 2). It was tasty but had a lot of fat. It did not come w/ any sides ( he shared some of mine). All in all it was a bit pricey for just a Pork Chop. Menu looks interesting, as well as Cocktails. We would definitely go back & try other items. Like the idea of weekly Thursday Special Menu. Thank you.

    Alley and Vine is fantastic. Great cocktails, excellent food, a very nice wine list and top notch service.There were six of us and we shared 4 apps, 4 small plates, two large plates and dessert and we were all really pleased with the meal. Our server was on it - super friendly and very knowledgeable about the entire menu, helping us cost cocktails and recommending doubling up on certain small plates so we had enough to share. We sat inside because it was a little bit chilly outside, but the outdoor seating area is super cute, literally in a cobblestone alley covered with trumpet vine. We were very comfortable inside, the only thing is that we found the music slightly loud. Overall a five star experience!

    From the beginning, the service was outstanding. I didn't like the table they assigned to us and immediately, upon checking, they seated us at a very nice table. It was my birthday and I loved everyone's birthday wishes. They even gave me a little champagne and tiny chocolate truffles. I can't sing enough praise for our server, Florrest, who made the whole experience here even more special. The cocktail of the day was superb. The steak was wonderfully tender, but the broccoli not so much. The French fries were wonderful with the dip on the side. It is very expensive, so we will visit it just for special occasions.

    The burrata, with cherries, plums, almonds, lemon and olive oil was superb. And the Korean fried chicken was fabulous, with just the right amount of spice (for us). And our server Andrew was perfect, taking care of our needs and explaining the menu, always in a very pleasant manner, and never overbearing.

    The menu reflect a very skillful smash-up of Asian (Japanese, Korean) and Italian cuisines. All very successful. Even seemingly small points (like a perfect, light but herbaceous green goddess dressing on the baby iceberg salad) were beautifully executed.

    Excellent cocktails. I wish waitstaff would ask about limitations or preferences before walking through their spiel on the menu. Kitchen closes early, but they were nice enough to give us a heads up so we had a chance to order. The food was great, especially the scallops dish we had. We had a starter and a small plate, and the portions are small though that's what we wanted and expected, so no complaints here. It was a bit pricey, but within bay area expectations.

    Server was amazingly attentive, food was superb. The evening was a little cool for our taste but the outdoor area is beautiful with the bougainvillea trellis - on a warmer evening the ambience will be magical. Champagne options * *muah!!
