About this restaurant

Welcome to Al Fassia Restaurant, a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the heart of Windsor.

The spirit of Moroccan hospitality is our business and our heritage. Mohammed Chab, our uncle and previous director of the famous Hotel Mamounia, founded the first Al Fassia in Marrakech in 1987. Ten years later, our father Mustapha Chab brought his recipes and vision to the UK. We’ve been inviting diners to share in the warmth and soul of our restaurant ever since.

The food we serve is in the tradition of the historical cities of Morocco. Their simple recipes, glorified with herbs & spices, are cooked in four royal cities; Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh and Rabat.

Rest assured, dining with us at Al Fassia will be an experience unlike any you’ve ever had…

The Amina Lounge: Designed to make you feel like you’re walking into a Moroccan home, The Amina Lounge is a large room adorned with the same hand-made carpets and drapes we use to decorate our hotel and restaurant in Marrakech. The Lounge can comfortably accommodate almost any private event, with seating for up to 40 diners. You can of course tailor your evening’s every detail to suit your needs: ensure the music is to your taste, offer bespoke menus in advance of your visit, supply you with a personal waiter for the duration of your meal, and even hire belly dancers for some after-dinner entertainment. In The Amina Lounge is another room, smaller but no less hospitable. Here up to 10 people can enjoy a semi-private meal together. Whatever the occasion, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01753 855370 or drop us an email at admin@alfassiarestaurant.com.

Totally excellent and exceedingly tasty restaurant. Nice ambience and buzz but not too busy, a hidden gem! We would definitely return and recommend the salmon tagine.

Exactly as a restaurant should be (but quite often aren't) - welcoming, with genuine warm service and delicious, authentic Moroccan cooking. So glad we chose this one of all the restaurants in Windsor.

Having read many 5 star positive reviews we were very much looking forward to our first visit to Al Fassia. Our initial experience having been seated in a delightful cosy setting in the upstairs area was very positive. Thereafter however it was rather disappointing. The pre dinner complementary food of olive nibbles were very sparse for the numbers in our party compared to what other restaurants of similar quality we frequent offer. Not sure if there was a misunderstanding with the waiter who initially was very friendly and helpful and accommodating one of our party with an alternative vegetarian option to the Al Fassia Special single choice menu we were offered. We would have preferred to have chosen from the ala carte menu but we were given to understand that only the Al Fassia Special menu would be available while we observed other guests choosing from the ala Carte menu. Considering we were a party of 6 covers the starters where again rather sparse and while the main course was plentiful albeit a little bland it was not what we would have chosen from the ala Carte menu. So regretfully we came away having had a disappointing experience that did not meet our expectations”
