Celebrated our recent one year wedding anniversary there and requested a table outside, to enjoy the rare mild weather and clear sky views. Was told during booking these are on a first come first serve basis but request noted. Upon arrival we were told only VIP area available outside which carries a minimum spend of AED 1000 per person on beverages alone. We were offered a table inside 'for now' but as soon as terrace seating becomes available we would be moved there. The restaurant seemed empty but the hostess eagerly guided us to a 'quiet' table - which turned out to actually be a very noisy spot right next to the DJ booth. The terrace also seemed empty yet at no point were we offered to move to our requested seating, despite several parties coming & going. So yes, recommended, but with some caveats.

Everything was great starting from the entrance..Welcoming is appreciated. We as enjoyed the every singe bit of food. Everything was super delicious. This was the first visit however we definitely visit again. The view was beautiful. The reservation was very easy thru opentable as well. Kids also enjoyed their food.

We booked a window table for our date night and were placed literally in the middle of the restaurant. Had constant traffic around our table. The ambiance is - in my opinion - more that of a club/lounge with loud music and too dimmed lights. The food was great, but highly overpriced. I believe the place is overhyped and there are multiple better and even more reasonably priced locations in Dubai. Neve again. Not to mention that the restaurant didn’t allow my tip payment by card because “it was over 20%”.

The brunch was meant to be 1:00-4:00. Service for lunch stopped at 3:00 for lunch and drinks by 3:30pm. There was too much pressure to order and eat quickly. Didn’t feel relaxed.

The Sunday Social brunch was outstanding value - Buy One - Get One (inclusive of beverages) for Marriott Bonvoy - More Cravings app. Service was attentive and not intrusive. The quality of the food was super. Nothing that was poor or average. The location of Akira Back on the Palm is also excellent. Sweeping views of the ocean, Marina and the W pools. Will definitely return. Highly recommended !

Old fish.. was a turn off to even experience being served this type of food. No quality control this was honestly slightly one of the worse dining experiences I have had Especially for a big brand like akira back I was very disappointed. Left half way through as the food quality was not edible And got shake shack burger instead

The service was unfortunately not at the usual level. We were placed at a table, but nobody paid attention, and nobody serve water nor wine. Only after we have informed that waiter of our lacking service, we start receiving water and wine. We ordered food that did not come but were offered food we did not order. You had a feeling that the serving staff was ignoring you. Not a very pleasant experience at restaurant.

Excellent service the waiter couldn't do enough for you, even when my wife got chilly with the air con he got her a pashmina. Great ambience with great music and the food was unbelievable.. 100% recommend and will go back 👍🏻

The food is very good, every dish is an experience of taste. But the real added value is the atmosphere , with the waiters ( this time Thomas) able to transmit joy, pleasure of doing their job . I

Not my first experience at Akira Back and they’ve not only lived up to my expectations, they (as usual) exceeded.. The ambiance is amazing, food delicious and service was nothing short of fire, all thanks to Thomas, our server for the evening. 5 stars go to him for how knowledgeable, helpful and for the complimentary dessert he added to our order!! An easy choice returning here.
