Meeting up with an old friend
The food prepared well. The portions are small. Ambiance was good and the staff acts in a professional manner.
Food was great and the server was wonderful
First it took soo long to get our food, and when it finally came, they forgot three things. Also, I've often ordered the fried chicken sandwich and what came bore no resemblance to anything before. It was horrible.
Fresh tasty food served in a reasonable time, friendly professional staff, and great coffee
We love to visit Akasha for the entire experience - the ambience is great - the lighting and decor is memorable. Our server Steve was excellent - so helpful (I was trying to decide between three different red wines...and he brought me a taste of each! Was incredibly helpful and thoughtful, and I was very happy with the wine I selected with his help). The food as always was delicious and well prepared, with the right balance of flavors. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and look forward to returning.
The food quality was decent for most of our table, but my plate of Flat Iron streak was pathetic in both size and accompanying sides. It came with three small onion rings and two pieces of cut up asparagus stalks. The platting sucked too. Like it was just thrown together.
The service here was impeccable!!! I can't say enough good things. It was a busy saturday night, and still, everything was prefect. My table was available promptly at the requested time. All staff were lovely and the food was verrrrrrry good! Gluten-free onion rings for the WIN! I'll be back for my next special occasion!
Took friends here for dinner for the first time and everyone loved it! The food was high quality and flavorful. The menu isn't huge but there were enough choices for meat and non-meat eaters. Ambiance was great and while the restaurant was full it wasn't very loud. We had reservations and we were seated quickly and the food came out fast. Our waiter was a little abrupt and would interrupt us mid-conversation. This was the only down-side to the evening. Overall great place to take friends for an upscale casual night out with high quality fusion food and good ambiance.
Kind of mixed overall. Wonderful ambience and restaurant space but service was slow. We had to keep reminding the waiter for water and we didn't seem him for long periods at the end of the meal. Waited quite a while for coffee and dessert. I would rate the salmon entree as so, so; kind of soupy and pretty average overall. Wine recommendation was wonderful and I heard no negative entree comments otherwise. We couldn't tell if the slow service was because of the waiter or the kitchen. I will return, but order a different menu item.
We love this restaurant! This visit was a bit awkward at arrival/seating, but the food and table service were great!
Food was delicious. Would've like to have ordered more! Server was initially attentive but disappeared for looong stretches. Hard to get a second glass of wine. Not what we expect when we go to Akasha.
I always love introducing a new friend to this restaurant, one of my favorites in Culver City. Always great, plus I’m glad you switched out those chairs!
Food was not great -- especially for the price. Menu felt very limited as well. Overall - boring
Delicious meal with our friends visiting from Buenos Aires.
Great place to go for Sunday brunch! Food was delicious and service was attentive.
Longtime favorite, menu needs a refresh.
Akasha ALWAYS delivers. the food, the service. It’s my go-to lunch meeting spot because A) something for everyone on the menu, B) somehow simple and sophisticated dishes C) just plain great Ju-ju, and it’s clearly intentional on the part of the ownership and staff.
the food was too dry. I had been there for dinner before. In lunch time, they are too busy to attend to their customers.
The ambiance was great! Very romantic feel/ dim lights, beautiful patio seating area and decor. Service was exceptional. Our waiter was attentive & came to check on us just enough.
The only downside to the experience was the food. Food was ver bland and portions were way too small. My guest and I left the restaurant hungry.
Food was EXCELLENT! Service was superb and the wine was delicious!
Delicious food. Lavendar drop martinis are amazing. Atmosphere is high energy and fun.
I had a great lunch sitting at the bar at Akasha. My server was very helpful, made a great recommendation and the food was incredible. Will be back.
Food and service were amazing. Super Pricey!!
We will go back on special occasions.
The food was good but uninspired. Service was excellent. The place was a quarter full but it was Game of Thrones Sunday.
Chris the manager was great. Staff was classy but didn’t shame the patrons (as can happen in upscale places). Lovely homespun feel to the place. Reasonably sized proportions (not like the iddy-biddy bits that are now the fashion). Wealthy Farmhouse feel to the architecture.
Service was awful. Took forever to order and get the bill. They also added “kitchen appreciation” on the bill, I’ve never seen that.
Very tasty food. We enjoyed the onion rings and fried chicken sliders as well as the special which was a black rice bowl with asparagus and artichokes. Wednesday evening seems to be a half bottle wine special at the bar. We didn't have wine, but the margarita was solid. Nice evening overall.
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at Akashi. Everyone was super accommodating to folks of all ages. The food was delicious. The setting is really lovely. They carry Common Space beer too which is always a plus. It was just great. Thank you for being a part of such a special day.
You can count on Akashi for an interesting eclectic menu, a vibrant vib and good service.
Great Mother’s Day brunch!
We loved everything about Akasha---the food, the service, and the environment. It was our first time at Akasha and we will be back for more soon. Thank you for a wonderful meal and a great experience. A night we won't soon forget.
Bryan and Joan Rebecca
The waiters were lovely and the food was fantastic. I reserved right after I graduated and they were accommodating and very nice.
Good place for a date night and we spent quality time going there.
Lovely restaurant and very nice quality food, shame about the rude hostess.
Excellent service from Steven and everyone loved their meal selection.
Great food, fresh and delicious. Great service. Friendly and efficient.
Akasha is my fav spot in Culver City. I’m gluten and dairy free but can always find the perfect dish here... tons of tasty options!! My all time favorites for lunch are the rice or quinoa bowls with grilled shrimp or flat iron steak. Delicious!!
As always that I have been there it is a really great atmosphere
and the food really good.
