Food has gone downhill. We ordered several dishes that were gloppy and poorly executed. Service was perfunctory.
Nice time and very tasty
The food was great and the service was friendly and efficient. This was a very nice place to spend a couple of hours and eat a nice meal.
Akasha is our Culver City standard. We go often & are never disappointed. We had a great brunch this time. Cocktails & wine selections are great too.
This was my first time at Akasha. Before I made a reservation I had mixed feelings about eating there based on the yelp reviews. I thought it deserved a chance. To my surprise it was a beautifully decorated restaurant along with clean bathrooms, friendly service and delicious food! I had the salmon with risotto and my boyfriend had the burger on a gluten free bun. The food came out fast and hot. I would recommended this restaurant for all occasions!!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Al fresco dining was relatively quiet.
We were able to sit outside so the noise level was OK for our purposes. Inside, Akash is too loud for me. The food was really really good and it was a special birthday with my friend!
Not super great food but so beautiful to dine in. I love the drink list
My issue was mainly that I ordered a bun less hamburger and it came cold. Our waiter was lovely but the cold burger kind of ruined the food for me. But everyone else seemed to enjoy what they ordered.
Always a great dining experience. Fantastic wine selection. Herb roasted chicken was superb.
Music too loud. Chairs were uncomfortable. The food was great. My veggie burger best in the country!
I live in The Hills. Friends live on The West Side. This is where we meet. Parking's a pain, but otherwise it's a great experience. Good food, good vibe, great wine, you can actually hear each other speak. My go-to meeting a friend place.
Food is great as is the service. A little loud but it was a packed night so I can understand the noise.
Yes I will go there again anytime.
I love Akasha restaurant. Food is great and the service excellent.
Food was great. Service even better. Both the hostess and server were welcoming and made the experience wonderful. The food was flavorful and filling. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
Fabulous food and service.
Great food, lovely staff and at our table, in the corner, not very noisy. Very nice evening.
Reliable and enjoyable restaurant with a bit of an eclectic feeling. Attentive and pleasant service. Negatives - menu is, in my opinion, too limited, and tables are pretty small -- two two-tops pushed together for a business lunch make for tight quarters. Very convenient and cheap municipal parking directly behind the restaurant.
I've been here before and I'll probably be here again, so that's the most important comment I can make.
Last time I ate here my bun was burned on the tuna sandwich so I decided to try out the fish n chips special - they were fine, nothing great - too oily and over battered. But I’ll go back and try again - I love the ambiance and the service is always top notch
I’ve been coming Akasha for over a decade, and it never fails to be a terrific meal. I’ve talked about her oven roast brussel sprouts, cinnamon ice scream, indian street snacks and delicately sauced main courses. Everyone should eat there once!
The menu and food has changed quite a bit, and not for the better. Just ok.
It’s a wonderful place. Elegant but not stuffy. Delicious. Healthy. Relaxed. Highly recommend.
The menu was not as interesting as it was the last time we came a couple of years ago, so we felt that standards had slipped somewhat.
Simply the best food around, and great vibe. Service is always perfect
Wonderful farm-to-table in downtown Culver City. Quality and flavor was very good. Table was ready on time. Online reservation system is nice. Be aware they add a 4% Kitchen Appreciation Fee - which they will remove from your check if you ask - but then the kitchen staff gets gipped. So, there is a built-in 4% gratuity.
Excellent food and lots to choose from - everything from meat to vegan. Great service. A little pricey for portion sizes.
Fantastic experience, Tammy the manager took such great care of the special occasion we were celebrating, the good and ambiance are terrific. Will be back soon for sure. Thank you to Tammy and all staff involved. See you soon, Greg
My wife and I went for Valentines Day. We had the NY strip steak for two with potatoes and spinach. Everything about that meal was delicious. I highly recommend the dish. Flavors were on point. This was my first time dining at AKASHA and I will be back.
Valentines Day dinner - lovely and delicious
I live in the neighborhood and had many breakfast/dinner meetings here and celebrated special occasions on the patio on hot summer evenings. The food is consistently good with a variety of healthy, tasty offerings.
Akasha is my absolute favorite restaurant in Los Angeles!! We went on a Friday night and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of flavors. The Bali Curry was packed with multiple spices and had a great consistency and very light. The decor is superb and there is something on the menu for everyone! I have had pretty much every selection on the menu and every dish is cooked to perfection!!!
My food was great! My friend's was average but she is a real foodie. Cocktails excellent. Very noisy but could talk some.
Problem I had was that the Hostess did not check us off and I received a reprimand from Open Table for not showing up! I didn't appreciate that and how hard is that job? She was mostly looking at her phone.
Breakfast with grandma, amazing food!
Unlike most people, I like to eat food. Akasha has pretty good food. If you are the extraordinary person that I am, and like food, you might like Akasha.
This is seriously one of my most favorite restaurants. However, today was easily the worst service I’ve ever had. The server was nowhere to be found for most of our meal. I was refilling our waters with the pitchers outside, and had to hunt him down with the check and my credit card after waiting for what seemed like 15-20 minutes for him to pick it up. He also wasn’t very friendly, and was more interested in looking at the street while he was at our table than looking at us.
Since I know how great akasha is, I’ll go back. If this were my first experience, I wouldn’t.
Super noisy. Our food was very underwhelming --both chicken and meatloaf were dry. Desserts were good.
Went there for drinks. Darryl our sever was awesome.
Nice restaurant. Ok for vegans and vegetarians. Assorted food.
There were 5 of us for dinner and we all really enjoyed our meals
