A Mano PHL
Always great food, excellent service. There were six of us and we opted for the ‘abbondanza’ prix fixe dinner. So glad we did...portions were perfect for a four-course meal and chef’s selections were wonderful.
a mano has been on my list for years. we were so happy to have made it here before moving away from philly. thank you for a beautiful farewell dinner. additionally, as people who are never impressed with pork belly; that dish was the most memorable recipe we have ever had! much thanks and appreciation!
This place does not miss a beat. The menu is well presented and prepared. The service is professional
The quality of the food is excellent. I would highly recommend to stick with the pasta dishes as they are truly outstanding.
We'll save this delicious, though pricey, dinner spot for special events. The presentation and quality of each gourmet specialty was delivered in a timely and friendly manner. I warned them that we would be back!
This was a repeat visit and it was as good as the first time.
The best and lightest gnocchi I have ever had in my life.
Amazing food and service.
This was our second time dining at A Mano. Food was great; I had the cauliflower appetizer and my husband had the pork belly. We both had the same pasta dish for dinner (I can't remember what it was now but we both loved it). We had been to A Mano once before, about a year ago. The waitress remembered us and that we were seated at the same table (quite by accident) as last year. Those little things go a long way to making a great dining experience.
Great service. Amazing food. We will definitely be back!
Everything about our most recent visit to A Mano was outstanding: food, service, and ambience.
Our entire meal was fantastic and the new dessert items are excellent. We brought my parents for a birthday celebration and they both commented how fabulous the meal was.
Fantastic experience. Food was amazing, great service. Highly recommend
A Mano is one of my favorite Byob’s in the city. They consistently deliver quality food with their creative touch. I always walk away from this restaurant not only thinking about how good the meal was, and also wondering When I will return?
Tried the chef special and every dish we had was amazing! The service was great as well. Our only complaint is that our view was of a Sunoco gas station, but was not that much of a distraction. Overall had a great experience and will be going back.
Excellent bread service. Mushroom ravioli is stellar. Bucatini had a bit too much smoke in the sauce. Overall a consistently great dining experience.
Neighborhood gem in Spring Garden, great Italian BYO that always satisfies.
A wonderful meal as usual. However, often as I dine there, I would welcome a change in the menu. When I take friends to A Mano, I can honestly say that I have had every item on the menu and they are all very good, but I would like to try something new.
One of the best gems in Philly, especially for a BYOB, cash only joint.
One of my new favorite restaurants in philly. The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious!
Not going again it was so noisy the food was mediocre- I love pAying good money for good food and I’ve been here before and it was wonderful but there was so selection that this party of 5 liked
There were many excellent menu choices. The pastas are especially good. Every dish was great. The server was attentive. Prices are reasonable. The only drawback is that A Mano is cash only. It is helpful that it is BYOB.
The ricotta appetizer is amazing, and the Cocoa Paccheri was fantastic for a snowy cold night. Highly recommend this place. There is a $65 tasting menu, though that would likely be a lot of food. Dinner for two with one app and two/three small pasta servings is perfect. Dessert was amazing as well.
When we arrived at the restaurant promptly for our 9:00 reservation on Saturday night 3/2/19 we were told there was a glitch with open table and they did not have our reservation. The advised there were a few others that also booked reservations on open table but that didn't go through to the restaurant. They were able to accommodate us around 9:15 which was fine. Just want to ensure the glitch is addressed so as to avoid confusion in the future.
Food and service always top notch at a Mano, and this meal no exception. Only complaint was the noise level, which borders on can’t carry on conversation across the table if you’re seated in the middle of the room.
Cash-only policy also problematic when one of the cash machines across the street is empty...
We had an excellent experience. Service was impeccable - we love Isaiah! It was a teeny bit noisy but otherwise perfect.
Love love love A Mano!!
Four of us had a terrific dinner at A Mano. We had a range of entrees from skate wing to pasta to duck breast. Tuna crudo appetizer and sweet potato gnocchi were super too. Presentations were attractive. Service was attentive without being intrusive. It's not cheap, but prices are no higher than plenty of places that aren't as creative. Our third visit, and we'll be back.
Great BYOB in Fairmount inventive food that looks beautiful and tastes great
Second time at the restaurant. Brought friends because the first time was so good. I was a little nervous that some of the dishes we loved the first time would not be as good. No fear they made the grade. We also tried some new dishes and almost everyone was a mind blower. Of course every dish can't be the star but, once again I would have to say this is one of the best restaurants in the city. The closer is going to be be I think coming up with new dishes to rotate in as good as some of the standards.
Food was well prepared and fresh. Loved what I ordered!
This was not the WOW that I thought it would be. The service was very good and the food was above average, but I was turned off when we tried to order our appetizer before our entrees and was told that the chef prefers the entire order to be placed at one time... And, the temperature in the room went from too hot to too cold throughout our meal. Everyone was pleasant, but I left a little disappointed.
Amazing food, flavors and textures. We did the Abbondanza and was not disappointed. Tons of food to share and our waiter was so helpful and attentive. Definitely going back again soon
We love it here !!
I hesitate to write this because I want to be able to get reservations next time, but the $65 chef's menu at A Mano is easily the best deal going in Philadelphia. We had three appetizers, three pasta dishes, two entrees and two desserts, not to mention incredible homemade sourdough bread. EVERY single dish is superb. The pork shank should be illegal it was so good and so HUGE. Homemade pasta: Yum. Kudos to the Chef and his team.
Superb dining, warm and attentive service.
Great service. Great pacing to the meal. Great food. Will be back.
It is a small place and we have been many times, but it was a bit loud for some reason this time. Still, I guess we all can get a little loud - cannot wait to go back!
Everything was AMAZING!
Our server was fantastic and the food was heavenly. I wish I could eat those fresh pastas every night. I didn’t mind the close quarters as it made the space cozier and I got to see and inquire as to what our neighbors were eating. My only negative was that the food came out so quickly. It was a quick trip rather than an evening to unwind.
