We had the tasting menu which was delicious. The restaurant was very quiet when we visited but had a nice atmosphere. Service was great and would definitely visit again when in Abu Dhabi.

99 Sushi won't let you down. It is Japanese food at its best and that is what you pay for. I'd suggest a lower music volume in the ambience to make the experience quieter.

It’s all about the human element. The food is great, quite fresh and our hosts Philippe and Stepan as well as the rest of the great Team made sure we feel quite cozy... definitely a unique address in Abu Dhabi!

Appealing presentations of delicious combinations of ingredients. The vegetarian offerings are wonderfully creative. The service attentive, perhaps too much so, with staff coming to the table more than 5 times to ask " Is everything alright ?"Eyes on table, and don't keep topping up wine, water and sake glasses. Receptionists delightfully welcoming and the bartenders pleasant, unobtrusive and efficient. I shall be back, particularly enchanted by the unique flavors, textures, and visual appeal of the variety of well conceived dishes. A culinary treat to be enjoyed.

For sushi, I like to taste the fish. Every sushi I ordered at 99 was either baked, fried, overwhelmed with a sauce or plastered with a mayonnaise. If you want a creatively decorated fish snacks, go, but stay away if you want to spend 500 dirham for an authentic and genuine sushi meal. Sushi meal generally should be a healthy meal but not the way 99 prepared it. I think it was as healthy as having a juicy gourmet burger. The service staff, a young Ukranian gentleman, was super nice and the ambience also excellent.

The food and service was excellent second dinner here in 3 days. The ambiance was ruined tonight by a table next to us young guy and his date who were complaining about the food and presentation. Abusing the staff loudly and a real turn off for us as second time guests.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and setting but not sure who this guy was ( owner??) but better if he had kept his voice to a lower level. Very disrespectful to a very hard working staff.

Easily the best Sushi in Abu Dhabi. I really recommend trying the lobster maki.

We loved our New Years Eve dinner celebration! ! Fabulous welcome at the bar, friendly professional staff and beautiful food. We went with our daughter who was visiting over the holidays who has some food restrictions. The restaurant went out of its way to provide her with plenty of choices. They serve very generous portions for a Japanese restaurant that were the highest quality and incredibly fresh. We have more guests coming soon and are anxious to return for another meal. I forgot to mention the beautiful water view and the party blowers , top hats and Venetian masks on the table. Exactly what you want for a NYE night out!
