In the 2000's, pioneering winegrowers Martha & Gary Cunningham began planting Rhone and Bordeaux vines of noble origin on the remote hillsides of the Sawtooth Range north of Boise Idaho. Today, this vast, historic ranch is now home to Idaho's largest family-owned winery, 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards. We invite you to experience our remarkable vineyards and wines from America's newest and most fascinating winegrowing frontier, The Eagle Foothills District of the Snake River Valley Appellation in Eagle, Idaho. In 2021, 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards built a new full production winery including under-ground barrel rooms and the Ranch House restaurant. Guests will experience an exclusive flight combination of our favorite Estate Wines, accompanied by a selection of artisan cheeses and charcuterie meats for a true wine pairing experience. The whole experience here is excellent. It’s beautiful hilltop setting overlooking their vineyards. We loved the vivacious white wine and rose. We shared the cheeseboard, haystack and salad. The salads and haystack were a definite repeat. Our server John was very professional and attentive. We will be back!

It's a beautiful location and facility. The food is delicious. My husband and I split the charcuterie board, artichoke dip, truffle burger, and key lime pie. Everything was on point. The burger was one of the best we have ever had. It was cooked to the temperature we ordered and it was memorable. The key lime pie was made in house. You could see the zest throughout the pie. It was a perfect end to the meal. And of course the wine is so good. My favorite it the syrah. It's dark and bold. We will be back soon!!!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The food was fantastic. I had the tri-tip sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. We also had the spinach artichoke dip which was good. We ate inside at a high table. I would recommend eating outside on the veranda which we want to do next time. Inside was quite echoey. We definitely will be back.

Beautiful table outside on the terrace with a light breeze made for fantastic view of the vineyard and an enjoyable afternoon and evening. The service was very good, with multiple staff members there when we wanted something and bringing what we ordered without hovering around the table. Food was great and so was the wine! Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

We were not very happy with our experience or our journey to get to this winery. We somehow missed that there are 3+ miles of dirt/washboard road to get to the winery. We also missed how early they close: 6pm. These two were our fault mostly due to lack of research, we guess. Once we arrived, it was hot outside but we braved it. We looked at the menu before we booked a reservation as we only eat certain proteins and need to ensure the menu suits our style. Unfortunately, we counted on shrimp dishes and they ran out of shrimp right as we arrived. I had a spinach salad and my husband tried the smoked trout, however the trout appeared to be pre-packaged. Dinner was definitely not worth the $$$ and the wine tasting was not the best. We will not be returning. Upon checkout, the gentleman who helped us was rude and curt at best. Beautiful venue, terrible food - service - journey (need an all-wheel drive vehicle).

We arrived 5 minutes early but we were promptly seated. A hostess brought menus and water. Another hostess took a wine order. We waited 20 minutes for the delivery of the wine. I observed a customer from an adjacent table get up and go inside to retrieve a bottle of wine due to lack of service. That was enough for me. When a winery is unable to serve wine in timely manner, they certainly won’t do better with food. Pleasant seating but no service. I informed the hostess that we were leaving.

Not many wineries have food menus. The ones that do are very limited. The menu at 3 Horse is outstanding with delicacies such as elk or escargot. The french fries and the truffle fries are out of this world. When you order something simple like a sandwich, expect something very special. I can't even explain the wine. It is the best there is. Beau Gest is a wonderful blend and well worth the money. All the wines at 3 Horse are exceptional.

Service was OK. Waitress (older, blondish hair) seemed annoyed and uninterested in conversing with us. Before ordering, we asked to have split checks. She sighed and scoffed “Can we just deal with that later?” When it came time for the check, she assumed 2 of us were together and didn’t even offer a split. Also, didn’t care to tell us the kitchen was closing; we were anticipating dessert to finish our bottle of wine. Food was good, location/view is amazing & we loved the live music… Just wish the service was a bit more friendly.

We asked and reserved a low table because someone had knee problem and your reservation system could not hold the correct table and the hostess would not give us the right table. The low tables sat empty for a 1/2 hour or so. Several of them. It was almost a Seinfeld episode.

The best! The wine is great, We had the Dry Riesling! The food perfect! The service impeccable! If you’ve never been it’s a must go to. The road out is a bit rural but also an adventure. 😁
