   I came to R&D to celebrate my birthday and it was a great experience! The staff were super friendly and gave us great menu recommendations. I loved the CSB, Siu Mai and Fried Rice, they even brought a little treat with a candle :)

   The R&D fried rice is a must try! Service is excellent and you can watch everything being freshly prepared with the open kitchen concept.

   We took the server's excellent recommendations. Every dish was a delight: CSB, the Fun Gao, Brussel Sprouts, Popcorn Shrimp and R&D Fried Rice. Neat decor. Loved it.

    When they said best duck in the city, they were really right. Not a single dish that disappointed, could not recommend this place more. Eric the chef was lovely and so were all the staff there. Definitely need to stop here if you're in Toronto !!

    Had the best time. Came for Valentines Day / our 6 month anniversary. It has been a place I’ve wanted to come to for a while and I was not disappointed.

    I was recommended this place by someone who said they have the best duck in the city and they were definitely not wrong! The service by Dylan was exceptional, very warm and helpful with all questions. (Even ones I didn't have) The food is sublime, elevated and incredibly imaginative as it does have a North American (Canadian) twist to it, not to mention presentation as well. You can tell the chef and all his team (cooks) have a passion for what they do. I will definitely be passing on the torch and recommend this place to everyone. I do want to come back and try their other dishes as well. Side note, they do corkage which is great for special occasions as well!

    Rushed out only 50 mins into our reservation time. Very clear the restaurant just wanted to close. Very disappointing when we had an almost $400 bill. Would’ve been more but they clearly didn’t care to provide adequate service. Will never come back.

    Absolutely shocked with how amazing this place is. Everything from our host, to our Bartender/server, and most of all the FOOD was off the charts. A talented, modern menu that is so well balanced and full of life… I can’t beileve this place isn’t talked about more!

    Really great service, and really nice atmosphere. The only downside was the server offered coffee/tea/dessert after our meal and did specify that they only had drip coffee and I said that was fine, but would've said no if I'd known it was drop coffee that had been sitting there for a while. Pretty burnt. But it didn't take too much away from the otherwise awesome experience.

    The food was delicious and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great! As for the value I will say that admittedly this was pricier than what my wife and I are used to but I think it was worth it overall. I wish the portions for the apps were a little bigger but everything else was perfect. I would definitely recommend others to give them a try. I certainly plan to go again sometime (maybe with a group of friends?) Despite some minor nitpicks I'm still giving them a 5/5

    Everything was good, but they need to get rid off that table that we were seated. Right in between of the culinary team and the properly seats. Facing the wall, and felt really weird as a customer. Table was wobbly all the time, and was not a good dining experience

    It was a very special night because we were only going for winterlicious ended up being a very special proposoal on behalf of my boyfriend, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, they did awesome. The food was incredibly good, the cocktails were so yummy, my favorite was the lost at sea. We really appreciate everything they did for us, we will be back definitely.

    Great ambiance, friendly staff. Slightly overpriced in consideration of food quality but overall food was very good and drinks are great. Note: winterlicious meal is an especially good deal contrary to the menu items. (Not that the menu is that expensive either)

    We went for winterlicious, and the appetizer and main dishes were delicious. Would highly recommend the lambs spidduci and the bao. Unfortunately, for both summerlicious in winterlicious, the desserts were very lacklustre and I wouldn’t recommend them. For reference we had the flourless chocolate torte and the flan. Service was decent, but we asked for napkins and our server never remembered to get them but other than that the server was friendly and we only had to wait a little bit of time after a reservation to get our table. For the value I would say this is a highly recommended spot, but I would skip the desert that comes with winter licious in the future and the desserts at the front look a lot more appetizing.

    We went for Winterlicious to R&D all because my son is a fan of Eric Chong. Seeing him work so elegantly with a smile made his day. The food was great and the portions generous. Thank you. Between the four of us we ended up trying everything on the winterlicious menu and all was liked. The ambience and decor could have been a lil more chic for a cuisine of such kind, I think. The hostess was great. The servers were OK, I think some engagement with the diners would be good.

    Amazing experience. Would highly recommend. Great food. Very flavourful. Love how common dishes such as crème brûlée, made to taste as a Hong Kong milk tea - amazing. Their lamb spiducci makes me want to eat more lamb. Friendly staff and great service. Would definitely go again.

    Winterlicious menu was great! The portion size and quality of food is worth it. Great spot to go for a date or a group of friends. The ambiance was perfect - well-lit to see the menu and take pictures of the food, not too loud so you can talk to everyone at your table without yelling and we didn't hear the kitchen staff once (a nice surprise since its an open kitchen). Would definitely recommend and come back to in the near future.
