   There were large parties of 30 and we ordered our food before one of the large parties but after one hour and twenty minutes we saw that the other party got served but our food was no where to be found. When we asked for the manager he told us our food was still a while away. We asked for our bill for the drinks and after hemming and hawing we were given 50% off the bill. We were disappointed to overhear another manager telling the manager who was dealing with us that the restaurant behavior was justified because the larger party got there before we did although they did not order before us. Not a good experience and the one star was for the bread.

   Slow pace of meal. Server seemed new but that was fine. Creole Cream Cheesecake came out plain. Was expecting a little something more. Expected more for the price.

   I was not aware that there would be a limited menu for Valentine’s Day, so my date was not completely satisfied considering he does not eat what is offered. But overall we enjoyed and appreciated the service, the ambiance and the dessert especially. We will definitely be back to try ordering from the full menu!

   We went for the Valentines Day special menu. It was delicious and a quite good value at $60 price fixed for a four course meal. The crab topped fillet with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes was great. The kitchen was a bit slow but understandable on a busy night. Our waitress was very nice and apologized for the delay. My only objection was about something visible from my table outside. A man standing on the sidewalk just outside the restaurant was engaged in obscene behavior. I can’t imagine I was the only person aware of this. While it’s not the responsibility of the restaurant to control the activities of people outside, they may want to consider window treatments that block the view. It’s a sad commentary on life in our cities that such things go on and barely get a notice anymore.

   Went on valentines day. Called to make a reservation, they said they were full, but was able to make a reservation online. Was not all that busy when we got there. Food was ok.

   I highly recommend the Fish Katherine as an entree. It is a light but fulfilling entree. The ceasar salad was great as well. I also had a drink called a Flamingo that was also tasty. I really enjoyed my meal. I could not stop eating. The service was awesome. The waiter Robert was attentive, professional, and friendly. He made sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The other staff was also professional and attentive. I will definitely go back.

   They were very backed up. We waited 20 minutes after our reservation time. When we were seated the table was wet and we didn't have menus. The waitress came to the table and ask us what we wanted to drink and for our meal. We still didn't have a menu. The meal came out before our appetizers and salads.

   The night didn't start off well as the restaurant was crowded and despite having our reservation, we were not able to be seated until 40 minutes after our reservation time. The hostess then proceeded to seat the four of us at a table barely large enough for two. We saw some open booths along the wall and asked the server if we could move as there was no way that all of us could fit and he accommodated us. Shortly after, the manager approached, took our drink order and brought us a free appetizer as he saw how long we had waited. Our server for the evening was not very attentive as we had to remind her several times about some of our requests. The food was Ok. Overall, it was OK for what we had paid, I just wish they didn't overbook as much as they did as they were not equipped to handle that many people and the service level reflected it. We'll give it another shot one night in hopes that this was a one-off.

   This restaurant had an amazing, beautiful bar and restaurant! The atmosphere was beautiful. The wait for our food was very long! Definitely will be back!

    I enjoyed my meal a lot. But it was way too loud, couldn't really talk to the people I was with without yelling. Music was too loud should be in the background.

    I hadn’t been to Portobello’s in quite a while, so we went for Restaurant week. We really enjoyed dinner and the Lasagna was great!

    Had to give food at least 1 star to continue this evaluation although we did not eat. Did not get that far. We were seated in a booth, with only two other tables occupied. We waited and waited and waited, at least ten minutes, with no service. There were four servers standing around looking at us, I guess we were invisible. Completely ignored. We left after going through the group of servers and telling them we felt ignored. They looked surprised! We were followed outside by Michelle(?) a manager who tried to entice us back in, however by then we were too disappointed to return. It would have been awkward. We had come in from New Orleans to take care of some business in the area, and had researched several restaurants in the area, and this one looked promising. Failed on all levels.

    Excellent food always. Pecan-dusted Gulf fish is to die for. But Scalfano and company have otherwise killed this place. Wine selection plus pricing is worst in Baton Rouge. Waiters everywhere talking and bumping into each other but no follow up on your order. 5 star pricing for 2 star ambience. Still it beats SoLou.

    Went for brunch. Menu has changed since last time we brunched there. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Waiter seemed to be in a hurry for us to order. Won’t be in a hurry to go back anytime soon.

    The food was pretty good. My husband’s steak wasn’t what it normally would be but it tasted ok. The amount of food for the price wasn’t worth it but that’s everywhere.

    The server promoted the fish of the day as redfish but said they may run out and have to change to trout. So if you won’t have the fish of the day, then don’t promote it at all to your guests. It is like you don’t want them to order the fish

    Food and service were both excellent. I’d never had their chicken piccata, so I tried it yesterday and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly. This place has always been consistently good, and I can’t ever remember having a bad experience. I’m glad they’re in the neighborhood.

    There were three of us dining for my mom’s birthday. We had a reservation and arrived on time. We didn’t order cocktails as my mom doesn’t drink and ordered our entrees pretty quickly. An hour later, we had empty water glasses and had finished our bread. We asked several times what was keeping our entrees so delayed. Our server blamed it on the kitchen. Finally a manager came by and told us that the server had forgotten to put in our order. He offered to comp a drink, appetizer, or dessert for us. We told him we hadn’t ordered any of those as we were going home to have birthday cake for my mom. Instead of taking an entree off the bill or ANYTHING, he said he was sorry he couldn’t offer us anything else. It was an awful experience and ruined my elderly mother’s birthday luncheon.

    Came in tonight and after being seated no one acknowledged my existence. After 10 minutes of being ignored I left. Went around the corner to Palermo and was welcomed with opened arms. You’ve lost a customer. Service was completely disrespectful.

    My wife and I both tried the lobster special. It consisted of an app, a main, and a dessert. My wife started with the lobster ravioli and I had the lobster bisque. Both were delicious and had plenty of lobster. We both had the lobster gnocchi. Again, delish and lots of lobster. The bread pudding was a nice finish to the meal. At $30/person I thought it was reasonably priced. Our waiter, Gabe, was very good. A nice person and pleasant to talk to. We will ask for him on our next visit.

    Server was horrible - didn’t greet us until 20 minutes after being seated. The whole experience was horrible - a dinner for two took over two hours. (And it was a preselected menu.)
