   Excellent as always. Was a little disappointed that they no longer serve Peroni beer on tap. But, eh, things change, bella. Ate dessert for the first time there, and we each ordered a different one; three in total. All were very good, especially the torta di caprese (hazelnut chocolate cake). Grazie!

   Great food, and perfect service. My only complaint is the noise level. There are so many hard surfaces that it can be very difficult to carry on a conversation at normal volumes.

   First visit to Pizzeria Locale. I’ll be back. Primarily pizza (duh!). Very creative menu, although somewhat limited for those with more traditional tastes. I started with the saluted summer squash salad. Mushroom pizza was simple but delicious! Excellent wine. Not surprisingly it was very busy on a Saturday night between 6 and 7pm. Reservation essential!

    ALWAYS our go-to spot when we want a phenomenal meal at a great value. Be sure to look for whatever seasonal pizza is available. The spicy peach pizza (Pesca) in the late summer is unbeatable.

    We arrived a bit early for our reservation and said we were flexible on seating as our "reserved" table wasn't ready yet. We were sat in "a not the best" table proclaimed by the host, and even though I said it was fine it was directly next to the server station and I felt in the way and uncomfortable the entire time. That being said, service was impeccable by the lovely and patient Tayla, and every bite of our meal was scrumptious. The reknowned butterscotch budino was a bit bland for me- perhaps it needed a bit more salt or a darker richer brown sugar, but the texture was impeccable. The atmosphere was overall beautiful, would have loved to sit at the bar watching the action in one of the empty seats, rather than stare at the service station. If I get the opportunity to return I will, and request the pizza bar! Great wine list!

    Delicious food as always; I highly recommend the butterscotch pudding dessert! It is a crowded and noisy atmosphere, so if you are looking for that, it has the prefect energy level.

    The most basic sound mitigation techniques (acoustic ceiling treatments or soft hanging banners) would make a big difference to the pleasure of dining here in the interest of being able to talk without shouting.

    A must for anyone who wants to experience Boulder's dining scene at its best. Watching the pizzaiolos (pizzaioli?) making your perfectly-crusted-and-topped pie is half the fun of a meal here - the oven is center stage, rightly so. It is never not crowded, so reservations are a must - and it is awfully loud with the high ceilings. But I'll put up with a lot when the food is this delicious: Besides the pizzas' properly blackened crust and chewiness, the salads and appetizers are wonderful, combining farm-fresh local ingredients with Italian instincts (paper-thinly sliced salumi, crunchy arancini with stretchy mozzarella centers, etc.) The wine list is well chosen and not a ripoff (a refreshing change for the area). I bet the desserts are great but I've never had the discipline to leave enough room!

    BEST PIZZA IN THE NEW WORLD! We make a special trip to Boulder to eat at Pizzeria Locale. The salads change seasonally and with local ingredient availability - the peach and dandelion salad was balanced and fresh with just the proper amount of tanginess. The pizzas are suitable for sharing if you must, with thin crust and slightly charred edges. Those who enjoy wine can peruse the extensive list of adjacent Frasca, the sommelier is happy to make suitable recommendations. Do leave room for the Bundino-crema reminiscent of salted caramel-delicious!

    I thought all was good, and although the food was good, it was not spectacular. This was important because I was not paying attention to pricing and was actually shocked at the bill when it arrived. There was not a direct correlation between cost and the delverable. The service was spectacular.

    The Marc Vetri takeover was an unexpected surprise...and an awesome one. The food was fabulous, and the restaurant was absolutely humming with excitement and happiness. The wait staff was on fire. The whole evening was wonderful, from start to finish.

    Nashvillian's in Boulder for a couple of nights as part of a week to Colorado for our 30th wedding anniversary. Went here after a day of hiking in RNMP. Good atmosphere and food with great service. Definitely worth the trip!

    We love Locale. The food is always spot on. The servers are always polite and kind. However, the service is continuously slow. Drinks sit at the bar, diners wait for servers to return to the table, the sense of urgency is absent . Not that I want a server rushing around in a panic, but one cannot help but notice the constant wait for nearly everything. We were last at Locale during the week at HH and the music was blaring while 4 or five tables were present and employees finished their pre service duties. We finished our appetizers while we noticed our drinks sat at the bar the entire time and were not picked up. We love the food and will absolutely return, but there are a few small details that would be really great if they were worked out.

    Food and service are excellent. Room could use some sound baffling. It was hard to talk across a small table. Most people go out to dinner to TALK and LISTEN as they eat.

    When one googles Pizza Locale, one gets a restaurant in Denver and their menu is nothing like the one at this restaurant so be warned. Pizza Locale only has pizza and a few appetizers. It is pretentious, loud and uncomfortable for sitting and talking. Some of the appetizers are interesting but the pizza is standard fare albeit the special crust. I don't intend to return.

    Eclectic menu of unique & delicious pizzas cooked in a wood-fire oven. Only downside, for us, is that we prefer a crispier crust overall. The pizzas cook fast but the dough texture is closer to that of a flatbread than an actual pizza crust. Fresh ingredients & fun flavor combinations provide an overall enjoyable meal. Decent wine list and affordable wine by the glass prices.

    Pizzeria Locale is a favorite and I never miss an opportunity to bring out of town guests, family and friends to enjoy the food and wine. This occasion, as with a few of the other times I have visited with more than two people has left me wanting for better service from the front end of the house. Let me explain. This is a very busy restaurant and I understand that. Good for them! However, they try and pack in too many customers, especially at the round 4 top between the rest room and the kitchen. Since there is only one rest room there is always a line and I don't appreciate people standing over me while I try and enjoy my food. That was not the issue though. Upon arriving for our reservation, @ 4:15 no less, we were told that was our table. As I have said, I will not sit there, I had friends from Baltimore visiting and I had made a big deal about taking them to Pizzeria Locale. There was another 4 top being bused and my wife requested that table. She was told by the hostess that that table was for as reservation. Here's the rub, we were willing to wait 2 minutes, we had a reservation, we were there and as far as I know they do not hold specific tables. When we reminded the hostess that we had a reservation she said "I'll thing about it". TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! We did eventually get the table we wanted but this certainly left a bad taste in our mouth and embarrassed us in front of our guests. Pizzeria Locale, please don't forget who you are serving, just because you are so popular doesn't mean you can forget who the customer is. Please get rid of that table, no one likes it!!! And lastly, please train your staff to think before they say something like "I'll think about it" Very disappointing :-(

    More like a trip to Italy. Excellent food, service, decor, espresso. Depending on the time of day, can go from quiet to very lively. Love it. World's best pizza and gluten free pizza.
