                                                                    We wanted to check this place out because it's been voted one of the best brunch places in the USA for several years in a row. Our schedule didn't work with brunch, so we decided to go to dinner instead. I'll start with the only bad thing I can think of: the parking situation was janky. There was a lot adjacent to the front that was $10 flat rate which we should have used, but we drove around trying to find street parking and ended up at a meter for $6/hour but even then was only available from 6-8 PM (weekdays only). But it is LA, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Now as for the good: the ambiance is excellent. The place is on the Pershing Square building's rooftop, and you get to the restaurant by taking an elevator to the 13th floor, getting off, and getting on a different elevator that goes to the 15th floor. There are two bars (the second is accessed via a staircase to the 16th floor where there is an ID-checker, and that second bar is on the open roof with some seats and fireplaces. There is even a live band after 7 PM on weeknights. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was some of the best I have had at a fancy restaurant. I had the steak which was juicy and bursting with flavor, and it came with a large serving of cheese and truffle smothered fries, and my partner got the seabass which was probably the tastiest fish I have ever tried at a restaurant. We also got the bacon mac and cheese, which was excellent but we agreed it was too much fat in combination with the food that clearly had been cooked with generous amounts of butter (absolutely DELICIOUS though). It's a little pricier than your average restaurant (plates about $30-40), but in my opinion was very worth it for the experience.

                                                                    Bad form to make a phone call warning patrons that we must order three entrees--isn't this a free country? We always order plenty of food--you don't know that, but please--all this negativity? We were initially shown the worst table in the house, right in front of the band--fortunately you were able to move us. The steak came clearly medium--not medium rare, my short ribs were good, but not great. The waiter just dropped off my bottle of sparkling water without opening it and pouring it. Again, poor form. We came for ambience and great food. We got ambience and just good food.

                                                                    Our reservation was at 3:15 pm , It was still brunch. we called for a couple questions and person on the phone was a bit stern about ordering on time before brunch ending. Service was average. I expected the waitress coming to check up on us a bit more. The food was delicious and everything we expected. It was our anniversary and the chef did send out a desert on the house. Thank you

                                                                    This venue is very beautiful, however, the service i received from the hostess when i got off of the elevator was horrible. She had a very obvious attitude with me and my entire party. I am not sure of her name but she had on a brown dress (or brown clothing), black glasses & her hair was brown. She wore an earpiece and made me feel as if my being there was an inconvenience to her. The restaurant’s ambiance was nice, the food was delicious, my waitress Jules was amazing, but this woman at the front was not at all a greeter. She needs to do better.

                                                                    My boyfriend and i Went here for our last night in DTLA. Very romantic feel. Got to watch the sunset go down. It was a little chilly but they had outside heaters so it was perfect. The food was incredible we will definitely come back next time we are in LA!

For having a reservation youd think theyd be able to seat you somewhere nicer but theu take walk ins just as soon as people with reservations. The menu doesnt have much of a selection and my spouse wasnt satisfied with the food. Says it might not have been cooked right. Lots of noise and super crowded. Did not feel as comfortable as dining elsewhere. The ribeye steak i must say was quite delicious but the sides were nothing much to talk about .

                                                                    I made the reservation for my birthday and in my reservation I had specifically said it was for my birthday and to be seated by the glass for a view. We were seated right by the band by the drum and couldn’t not move around to the bathroom if I wanted to. Our server took awhile to come back to us we were left at the table with no water and no help. Severs seemed as though they did not want to be there. We were moved after 20 min and towards the end I did not receive any type of birthday dessert to Celebrate with my significant other when I had specifically had it input for my reservation. It was disappointing from the other times I have attend perch. Will be considering going somewhere else next time.

They were able to accommodate an extra guest for us with no problems. We had a great view outside and the jazz music was just the right touch. The Brussels sprouts, cocktails, and entrees were excellent. Service was friendly and attentive and didn’t rush us along at all. Perfect end to a wonderful celebratory weekend.
