What Insiders Are Saying
One of the original rooftop bars in DTLA, Perch has a French-leaning menu and views for days. Put it on your list for your next downtown date.
This has got to be the best place to see LA at a 60 degree view. This service and food at Perch is outstanding!... It's my go to spot for lunch and dinner!
Great food, music, and service! Can’t wait to go back
Service and ambience are 5.
The food was solid but not sublime. For the price, food was on par. It really is the idea of the swanky digs, the view and the service that elevates Perch. The pork belly was exquisite - the apples, the teeny tiny microplaned jalapeno, and sherry glaze hit all the notes with the luscious "like buttah" texture. My bouillabaisse was fresh and fragrant but I've had better balanced and complex broth in my little home town at a restaurant called Esin. The truffle cheese fries were ridonculous - a plate of those and a couple of glasses of Silver Oak while watching each episode of the final season of Game of Thrones would be 'talk story' worthy. The steak was the pedestrian 3 in our meal. Desserts do not disappoint. Splurge and get one. I will bring my college kid who enjoys fine dining here but if I were in this part of town with a real gourmand 'foodie' friend, I would opt for N/Naka.
Scenary was amazing. Food was absolutely unforgettable. Would highly recommend.
I absolutely loved this place took my girl for a pre valentine dinner
Perch was an amazing experience. The food was great, the service was top class even with our many special requests and changes. Brett the floor manager was a class act and the overall experience was fantastic! Definitely recommend
Had the 12oz New York strip topped with fresh crab meat. Amazing!!
This place is very chic which I loved but with an old school vibe, food was good just not great, the customer service is awesome but overall good place.
My friends bday.. loved it
Awesome! Great Food, Great View, Great Overall!!!!
I would definitely recommend friends & family. Our experience was wonderful. Starting with our server and management team. Great customer Service. Will be back!
First time customer. The tables a too close to each other ( which I kinda understand because you want to fit as much customers as you can for business purposes) but you sacrificing quality and comfort which I believe should be number one priority. Perhaps get rid of some tables and raised the prices to make up for it. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it unles you want something casual.. up up your dress code specially dinner time
Good view, food was better than I expected. Not the hippest place in town but was still enjoyable
Outstanding service and a vast, delicious menu!!!!
This seemed like a neat spot to visit in LA with rave reviews, however, the food was no better than fast food. The burger, truffle fries and even the Caesar salad didn’t have much flavor. The Caesar dressing was not very good and the romaine lettuce was soggy. Our waiter was very nice, but we were sat right in front of the band. It was difficult to have a conversation. The band was wonderful- emma Jean music but the place was not very impressive at all. The waiter was great, but they should definitely revamp the menu and food here. Not impressed for spending $100. Save your money.
We did get a nice picture on the rooftop when it stopped raining so that was cool, but other than that, not a great place for food. The view and people are nice though.
I went here for my 21st birthday for the time. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating.
I’ve gone to perch many times before and this last time I went the food tasted so bad it was so salty or had no flavor my steak wasn’t as prepared how I wanted it the mash potatoes had no flavor the scallops were over cooked. I was so disappointed I didn’t even finish my meal
the table was in a very uncomfortable place. the place had very ugly plastics. It was not what we expected
We felt were welcomed at Perch LA. It was my boyfriend's birthday and Perch indeed made him feel very special. Mussels were amazing but nothing could compare to the NY Strip dinner. We will be coming back the next time we are in LA.
Made a reservation the same evening. My friend and I wanted a nice dinner above the city. We had no problems ordering and being seated as well as enjoying the fire place to get some la views.
First time at PerchLA and I loved my time there. The ambience, food, and drinks were amazing; not to mention, that the live was great as well. Thanks !
Thank you so much for getting us the fireplace table :)
Exceptional Customer Service and Delicious food, but true charm the enchanting view
One of those places you can wine and dine and enjoy the city lights. Great service, food, and atmosphere!
We had a great time and the Jazz performer was absolutely amazing. My only complaint is I told the waitress I had a gluten allergy when she came to take drinks. When I asked if there was a GF Menu, she instructed me that they did not have one but MOST of the items on the menu were GF. She was not knowledgeable of those items (Which I think is very important), and asked her a few of the options I was thinking of going with.. None of them ended up being gluten free options. I ended up going with a Caesar Salad and when I received it, it had crushed up bread crumbs all over it and bc of the darkness did not realize it until I tasted it. It is partially my fault for entrusting the server with my allergy. I love the restaurant and the ambiance, but PLEASE educate your team on allergies and please make it easier for those with an allergy to enjoy the delicious food your restaurant serves.
The food was spectacular and the service was amazing! The live music just added so much to the ambiance. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful ambiance and food. Special surprise was the fabulous musical quartet on a Monday night! Too bad inclement weather prevented us from enjoying the outdoor rooftop patio. We’ll be back!
It was great! We enjoyed our first experience at Sunday brunch.
I loved our server London , she was so helpful with choosing what to drink after we were seated . Didn’t catch the bartenders name but was recommended mimosas to start brunch off right and I don’t regret it ! Fiancé and I will be back soon
Steak was ok, almond cake was gritty and dry do not order. However the bread pudding was delicious, great ambience
The food was lukewarm when served. Food was fair, especially considering the price, it was subpar. Ambiance was nice.
Great experience. Heard good things about this place and wanted to try it out. It was ok.
Perch was great even on a rainy day. Good live music, pitchers of sangria and yummy food. Great experience.
Perch exceeded my expectations. It is not overly priced, yet the food is solid. The ambiance was the most important part, as there was a live band on the Saturday morning that we went that got a tad too loud, but added a great touch to our brunch. Service was fast and they did not rush us out after we finished. Great experience and would return.
Best band & DJ. Awesome server & yummy food! Great place to have some drinks in LA.
Our experience at the perch was great. Food was amazing drinks were perfect our server’s service was okay. The bartenders made up for the previous lack of service. Lastly, the view was spectacular
Great service, amazing view, delicious food. Enjoyed our time.
Great find for our date night in downtown. Food and service was excellent.
Service was horrible everyone had a bad attitude I felt like especially our waitress.
