Patzeria Family & Friends
Love this place, brought a group of 8 for lunch prior to a show. Everything was perfect, though they put our table half in/half out of the restaurant. Would have preferred inside, traffic was very noisy. But the food always wins over the ambiance, service was impeccable and we had a wonderful time.
Second time there and enjoyed each visit. Will be going back again
Patzeria is a restaurant with very good food that is priced well for NYC. The staff is excellent and service done well. We preferred to sit in the front with the TV's and not so many people around. We were early than reservation but were accomodated. Wall that was near our table could use a painting and fixing up. Otherwise all was well. I was just disappointed as I thought I could get vegetable with pasta but only vegies came with Potatoes. I had pasta so no veggies.
My friends and I eat here every time we come to NYC. It is busy and sometimes noisy, but the service is very good and the food is excellent, with good size portions. Over the years we have tried many entrees and have not been disappointed. What attracted us to Patzeria Family and Friends at first was the menu selection. There is a large variety of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and pizza, to choose from. And the prices are decent for NYC.
Our favorite Theater District destination, if we want convenient, good company, good service and delicious simple pizza and other Italian family fare. Lee & Joe's place never fails.
Excellent restaurant, great cozy and friendly family atmosphere, efficient service and incredible pasta and pizza.
Great food and service!
We ate at the bar here after a matinee. The staff was lovely and the food solid “old style” Italian. Not “fine dining” but very satisfying.
Wonderful, as always! We visit on every trip to NYC.
We were in NYC to celebrate three birthdays. My mom ordered a salad and it never came. It took a while to get appetizers and bread, but over all the experience was good.
Can't wait to go back. Great find in the theater district!
Had an amazing dinner here!! It did not disappoint!! Highly recommend!!
Food is outstanding, recommend! Share large pizza with three.
The food was okay, but we had higher expectations based on the reviews I had read. The service was outstanding - they have a friendly team who make you feel welcome and well cared for.
GREAT pasta, the homemade marinara & vodka sauces were delicious! The shrimp cocktail was also very good, and the homemade garlic bread really tied the meal together. A few small table options outside and a short walk from Times Square. Yum!
Great gem for Italian food.
It was our first time in New York and going to a Broadway show. We were looking for good Italian for a good price near us. We found this through Open Table and checked the reviews. The food was great.
Great food and fast, attentive service. A definite repeat!
Worst Veal Parm I’ve ever had at an Italian restaurant. Frozen food quality. 2 pieces-one was the thickness of a potato chip. Never returning
Great authentic food - great service
Glad we found this gem last time we were in town for a show. Perfect location and great food.
Last min dinner decision and it was the best one. Food was awesome.
Great place. Great pizza
Great pizza and friendly staff!
Decided to go based on reviews. Made last minute reservations on Saturday night for 5. Quality of food was outstanding, one of the best marinara sauces I ever had. Everybody in our group loved what they ordered. Service was decent but could have been a little better. Would definitely go again!
We had a reservation for 6:15. Got stuck in traffic (due to road closure) and called to let them know we'd be 5-10 minutes late...they said no problem. Arrived 10 minutes late and there was a line out the door, up the steps and down the sidewalk. Let them know we were there for our 6:15 reservation. We were told that it would only be 5 minutes. We were FINALLY seated at 7:00. We love the food here, but will probably go elsewhere from now on. This was our go-to place every time we visit from Colorado...to dine before seeing a Broadway show. The place is too popular for its very small size.
And I wouldn't call the noise level "Energetic"...more like "Loud".
After theater meal. Very good pizza. I ordered grilled shrimp with penne. Tasty but very small portion.
Nice place, welcoming, good food and reasonably priced .
Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and delicious food. The food is moderately priced, although we easily spent nearly $100 including tip for two because we got big salads and tiramisu for dessert as well as our main courses, which would have easily been enough for dinner.
Upcharge you for additional bread, $1 extra for adding garlic, and $1 for a second cup of marinara for mozzarella sticks. No special, just off menu and no substitute for cheese lasagna instead of just meat lasagna
It was nice, food good. Had to wait 20 -25 minutes for a table even though I had reservations.
Fabulous food at a casual family owned restaurant. Great for families, especially before seeing the show. Have dined there many times and love it!
We enjoyed the food. The portions were large and very tasty. We, however, did not enjoy the rudness from the servers. We ran out of water and when we asked for more were told "okay, in a minute" but he never came back so we flagged down the water server and he rolled his eyes and acted like we were putting him out. He did come back with water, but filled our glasses halfway and got very agrivated with my mom asked for a top off. This was not a good experience with servers.
Nice menu. Tasty marinara sauce. We enjoyed the grilled calamari the most. The pizza always looks great and the garlic bread was too good. Easy place to meet friends and bring family.
My family found this place and took a chance on a small Italian restaurant in the city5 years ago...no regrets!! We have now been coming here every time we are in the city. The Patzeria pasta sauce is amazing!! Enjoy!
Outstanding food and energy and the hosts and servers make you feel very loved!
Patzeria is a very nice local affordable and genuine Italian restaurant in the heart of the theatre district. Save you money and eat here before the show. You won't be disappointed.
I’m From NYC so the pizza is average at best. Sauce for The chicken parmigiana was not special. It has the typical restaurant row type of feel. Servers were attentive and efficient so I would still recommend eating here if you are seeing a show nearby and need to be in and out by a certain time.
Delicious pizza. Wish I could have tried more stuff on the menu. Ambiance was fun and family style. Would definitely return. Yum!
The location is of course perfect for a night at the theater. The food and service impeccable. The only negative is that if you're looking for a quiet place for a relaxed dinner this isn't it, but in the theater district no restaurant is. We had 5:15 reservations, in case there was a seating delay, but we we seated immediately. That gave us time to have an appetizer before the entree, and not feel rushed.
