We chose to have dinner at Palace Arms for a date night. Everything was perfect! The bread that was served when we sat down, was delicious. The salad and carpaccio were even better! For our main course we had the sea bass and elk chop, and we opted for a glass of wine to go with the main course. The sea bass and elk chop were perfectly cooked and incredible! The sauces and sides went perfectly with the star of the dish, and the wines enhanced all of the flavors and made them better! We ended our meal with the Bailey’s Irish Cream and Mint dessert, with cups of coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed the dessert and coffee, and our entire dinner! We highly recommend Palace Arms, if you have a chance to go there!

The atmosphere and noise levels were good. However, I ordered the elk chop and the waiter said it was best if cooked medium rare, so I asked for it that way. The chop came well done (over cooked) and I couldn’t eat more than a few bites because it was too tough to chew and tasteless. Paid too much for a bad meal. Also, we were celebrating not one, but two birthdays, which I had noted in my reservation, but the restaurant didn’t do anything special (candle in cake, etc). I will not dine again at this restaurant.

The food wasn’t good. I wish I hadn’t spent my hard earned money on that nasty food.

The I asked My waiter said receptionist was an absolute sweetheart! Kent, whom I guess was the manager, stopped by to check on me. We had the best conversation! Discovered we had a lot in common. He’s the best! I came for restaurant week. I asked the waiter if the menu had veggies? He said mushrooms. So I didn’t order anything else. Turned out the mushroom looking item on the plate was purple potatoes. The menu lacked a single vegetable. Otherwise the menu was spectacular!!! I loved every single bite! The whole meal price was the same as one menu item. You can’t go wrong with restaurant week at The Palace arms!!!!!

Our waiter took over twenty minutes to take our drink order. And it was not busy. Not attentive at all.

Restaurant week try out. Expected smaller portions, but this was amazing. The food was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly. Of course, Mr Dawa is always great. Normal prices are a bit over the top. Especially the beef ($100 for the smallest steak? ) so that would be an extravagant meal ( estimate $160 for 8 oz). The rest of the menu was reasonable for the level of quality. For that special meal, highly recommended

We had an outstanding dinner at the Palace Arms. We thoroughly enjoyed the zucchini risotto with a touch of lemon. The salmon in a fresh dill cream sauce was perfectly cooked so that it was moist and flaky. The chef prepared a wonderful dessert that was like a chocolate mousse. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared. The dinner experience was supplemented by the cheerful, attentive (but not intrusive) service in a delightfully quiet environment. This is one of the best meals my guests and I have recently enjoyed in Denver.

I would recommend with a codicil. The Palace Arms has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the world. In a hotel that is over a century old you would expect changes as it is the nature of the world. If you are looking for days of old when dapper Maitre D shows you in to a luxurious room, with black tie waiters then this is no longer the Palace Arms you remember or I remember as well. In an age where things have become more casual, so has this impressive restaurant. Our hostess was a gothically dressed lovely human and our servers where not in the crisp uniforms of old. They were friendly, kind, and perfunctory, but to my opinion, it was not the service you expect from a restaurant of that caliper, or live up to the history of that room. The room itself has been modified as well with tables where the big luxurious booths have been replaced with tables and stand alone chairs , while the definitely are more functional, they also have squeezed in more tables which initially made us feel a bit cramped. More so the furniture does not match the historic nature of the room, or the luxury of the room for that matter, a higher quality of table would have served them better. All of that said , that is where i would quantify recommending it to a friend. The experience is definitely diminished , however the food was outstanding, the one constant I found was that the meal was superb. So it is pricey, the service is adequate with high notes, our table side Ceasar was amazing, but we sure missed the bananas foster. If I had never been there I would have found it very good , but I do wonder with so many of the corners cut, if it will fall prey to an expensive hotel restaurant which would be a shame as all the pieces are still there, for the amazing experience the Palace arms has a reputation for
