   Location, venue, service and atmosphere were great. Food was nice and well presented. Menu options seemed pretty limited versus what was expected (one of the most limited menus I've seen and wine list was exhaustive by comparison). If there is normally a far greater selection of dishes they should have mentioned for future reference ideally. All said and done we'd go back anyway and I've already recommended the restaurant a few times since yesterday.

   This was a last minute Mother’s Day booking and we could not have been more lucky! There must have been a cancellation because it wasn’t available when we looked yesterday. The food is absolutely delicious and good sized portions. We had nine dishes between 4 of us. I was tempted to order extra pita bread when we started as it was so tasty (garlic, salt, rosemary - yum!), but am glad I didn’t as the rest of the dishes were equally excellent. The Greek bubbly was also a nice surprise, light and fruity, I even bought a bottle to bring home! The staff are very friendly and helpful too. We will be returning very soon.

    The food is just outstanding!! The portion sizes are exactly right! Not overflowing plates. The set is is great, friendly, and the whole atmosphere is lovely and makes you calm and happy… this is my no 1 favourite place to it in Brighton hands down! AND they cater for vegans too… absolutely delicious food…..

    Delicious food, slightly on the expensive side, but couldn’t fault the dishes and love the idea of Greek tapas food. Wasn’t too happy about the service charge added though.

    Very tasty food, couldn't fault it. The service was very prompt, arguably a bit too prompt. We were sat down about 7:30 and would have been finished before 8:30 if we hadn't consciously slowed things down. We barely had a chance to sip our drinks before the first dishes arrived. Service was attentive and very friendly, just a bit too efficient (if that's a thing). However we were not rushed to leave, we never felt pressured, it just seems the natural rhythm is quite slick and fast paced.

    We were seated promptly and looked after well. We had to wait a while to be served after being initially seated. The waitress did apologise and said ‘we’re in a blind spot’. The food is lovely and a nice Greek twist on traditional tapas. There isn’t much food to chose from and we had 7 dishes. The dessert menu only consists of 3 dishes which was shame.

    Absolutely delicious food with a vast selection for vegetarians. The ‘small’ plates aren’t really small, the portions are really generous. Service was brilliant too. Couldn’t fault it.

    We had a great evening at this restaurant. We went at 6pm on a Tuesday and it was very quiet. We tried a geek wine and ordered a small plate each with three entries and that was plenty of food for 6 people! It was all very delicious. We are looking forward to returning, especially in the summer to sit outside.

    I am not a connoisseur of Greek food but I thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ordered. On all the occasions I have visited the Olive Grove, it has been either pouring with rain or bitterly cold, and it has been a warm, welcoming place to enter. The service is first class and the view of the courtyard attractive despite the weather. Locating it in the labyrinth which is the Lanes is not especially easy if entering from Ship Street or Prince Albert Street; the better route is up the side and of Hanningtons, and keep walking until you meet with the Olive Grove's courtyard on your left. That way you don't need to juggle with apps in pouring rain.

    The food was lovely, we had 7 dishes between us and they were all delicious. We also tried some coctails which were great. We all enjoyed our dinner, coctails and the service was very good. I highly recommend Olive Grove.

    I expected better quality food. Whilst the sirloin was cooked wel,it had a lot of gristle. The calamari was tough and the salad okay but a bit unimaginative. Service was good, as you'd expect in a restaurant of that calibre. Go for a nice evening but not a shoot out the stars one. Expensive for what you get.

    Attentive staff, good atmosphere. We ordered and the first plates of food came soon after. The food was delicious and the staff were accommodating when we wanted a dish with no chillies. Not cheap when you take into consideration all the plates you have but the food was worth it.

    The food turned up very quickly and it was amazing. Everything was well presented and delicious and the tapas-style portions were pretty generous. The interior is quite plain and the lighting was bright. It would make more sense in Greece, or even just at lunchtime, but it didn't feel right for dinner. They seemed to be playing Greek radio too, which is the wrong choice. It wasn't very busy on the night, that would have lifted it. I hope they do well though because the food is so good and the people were nice.
