Just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 7 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Old Stone Steakhouse is located in historic downtown Belmont in the beautifully restored Belmont Police Department building. We offer upscale steak and seafood with casual prices and a warm ambience during the evening and a laid back and approachable lunch menu during the day.

                                                                      Great experience on a Saturday evening. Belmont is pleasant and picturesque. The food was terrific and came out hot and fresh. Everything from the appetizer to dessert was delicious, and service was attentive without being obtrusive. Casual atmosphere and great prices!

                                                                      The quality of food has gone down significantly here. We used to eat here 5 years ago and it was good. For the prices, I expect a really well done meal. We were taking my parents for their birthday. We won’t be returning anytime soon and we love to support our local businesses.

                                                                      We were the first to be seated on the outside patio. It was quiet at the beginning; however, a party of about 20 was seated for some occasion about midway through our meal and it got loud. A waiter and waitress came out as the party of 20 was arriving to set-up some oriental screens next to our table to provide privacy for the large party. This should have been done beforehand and not while we were dining. Our waitress was attentive throughout the meal and offered nice recommendations about drinks, meals, and desserts. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be back with my in-laws in the future.

                                                                      Steak was undercooked. We were half thru our meal before she ever came back To check on us, so by then the steak was cold. They cooked it more. Mashed potatoes and gravy were barely warm. We love this restaurant and definitely will go again… I am happy to say this is not normally the case with our experience here. It’s normally very good.

                                                                      I realize that a reservation for lunch on a Monday is not needed, but I had coworkers coming into town and I didn’t want to take any chances. My only complaint is with the host. I had a reservation and he gave me two options the first booth behind the host-stand or two booths away by the bathroom. I objected to both and requested we sit in the actual dining room. He complied and everything else was wonderful.
