Old Ebbitt Grill
Although our official wedding isn’t for two more weeks, we officially signed the certificate today, and made it legal. We had another amazing dinner at our favorite restaurant! The staff is always so great, and Brian was so great, even as busy as it was, he was constantly checking in on us!
Great place to eat!
Robert was a great server. His recommendations were excellent!
Loved everything about this place! Food and ambiance were amazing!
The ultimate Washington D.C. experience!!
the service was excellent along with the great food made this a special treat
Really disappointed. First time dining at Old Ebbitt in 5 years and was really looking forward to it / I always recommend it but unfortunately am no longer able to.
Terrible table & inattentive service. My wife was bumped multiple times as upwards of 4 employees jockeyed to get access to the small server stand that wedged between 2 small tables of 2. Sauce was requested to be brought on side & was forgotten/not brought out at all. Plates were dropped on table & the runner promptly ran away before we could get another round of drinks (no one came by / we were not able to get another round of drinks until I asked one of the water fillers (after he had bumped my wife again - mid bite)
Superb all the way around.
The chocolate chip bread pudding was the perfect finish to a delicious meal!
Food was great, service was good. We were crammed into a tiny table against a pillar, seated next to another two top. Atmosphere was great.
Love the seafood happy hour. One of the best deals in town. We had oysters, clams and shrimp. All were wonderful. Server was very nice. Will be back soon.
Outstanding as usual.
Wonderful old restaurant sadly reduced to a tourist destination. Food mediocre and tepid. No imagination. Classics without spark. Almost lived here when I worked in DC but now will avoid. Too bad. Still lovely atmosphere but bored and disengaged wait staff.
A first-class evening with family and friends was had by our group. We love OEG and come each time we are in D.C. Our waiter was great, never making us feel rushed. He was fun and kind and provided good suggestions.
This proved to be a great DC choice for celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday! Environment was great, service with a smile and food was fantastic. Thank you Old Ebbitt. We had a ball.
Food was delicious and came out quickly. Great flavors! Recommendation from waitress was perfect
Best place in Dc for Happy Hour -- Don't miss out on the Orca Platter !
Wait -- Best place in DC --- PERIOD !
Been here at least a dozen time and every time is great.
Wonderful experience! The service was amazing. Our server gave us great tips on the menu. We were in and out in under and hour. The restaurant is a classic piece of DC and I would recommend to anyone visiting to grab a bite here.
I can’t renember our servers name, but he was fantastic and made our night. The half off raw bar was awesome. We had the Orca platter that was amazing!!! Definitely will be back.
The service was excellent. The food was tasty. I would recommend using open table for reservations . When we arrived the wait line was long but we got right in with our reservation
Family vacation and St Patrick’s day.
Service was disappointingly slow. Took 28 minutes to bring one slice of peanut butter pie. No one asked how our dinner or experience was. Food was outstanding but service left us with a bad taste.
Classic...Always great service. Staff is always friendly and sincere.
Great brunch menu! Waiting staff were attentive and pleasant. Food came out hot and well prepared.
Lunch on St Patrick’s day prior to a show at the Kennedy Center.
Valet parking definitely a plus for Easton and out.
Menu was similar to Clyde’s and pretty good. Had a couple of specials for St Patricks day which was nice.
Great atmosphere. Really captures the feel of the city. Mussels fra Diavalo was great, as was the very friendly and efficient service we received. Will definitely return. Surprisingly inexpensive, especially for the meals we had.
The food was great and it was my first time there and in DC.
Our server Brad was outstanding! Brad made the evening a wonderful experience. The food was excellent.
A table to fit all folks. Jacket or no jacket, your taste buds will be quenched no matter which side of the isle. Drinks are cold, plates are hot and food is delicious. Cool historic spot to enjoy the days walk. Take in the scenery.
Amazing time and amazing food! Get the filet! You won’t be disappointed!
We had a great time. The food was amazing. The suggestions from the waitress were delicious. And she was very knowledgeable about the menu. There was a slight mishap with an allergy. But management came over. They comped the item. And all was taken care of in a very professional manner. We were very pleased with everything we had. And cant wait to go back. The noise level was high. But it was st paddy's day weekend and was very very busy. But we didnt have to yell to speak to each other. It was very nice, romantic, and we loved every minute!
We went for our 34th wedding anniversary and had exceptional service and food. The best value is the raw bar happy hour.
Great atmosphere and great food with excellent service.
Overall excellent service. The food was very nice. They sat us right at the time of our reservation. We appreciated them taking care of the egg and peanut allergy at our table. We loved it, and we will come back when visiting the city next fall.
Food was great, service was great. Would highly recommend.
Oyster stew was just ok. My friends clam chowder was only ok. The Walter sandwich was very good
Amazing waitstaff and hostesses. Food was incredible and they remembered our birthday boy several times.
I really love the food there! Crab cakes were so yummy, also the lemonade is not too sweet not too sour, which is really nice. Love here and will recommend!
