We made reservations, which I would always recommend doing, had a lovely dining experience, and we’re not rushed out the door so that they could turn the table. Always a good meal and good service.

We came to North Star Bistro for Mother's day brunch. They had a set menu and a specialty menu for drinks too. I would've preferred a bit more variety on the set menu, and I thought prices were on the high end for certain things. Loved the drink menu. Our waitress really set a nice tone and atmosphere even though they were obviously very busy. Overall, it was a good experience.

My husband had Halibut which was on special for $38. It had no interesting flavorn rather bland. Also a little overcooked because it was rather dry tasting. I had whitefish which was good, and was able to substitute Brussels sprouts for sautéed spinach. It was tasty. We sat in the back room with the families of kids. Next time I will request Main dining room. We ere there at 6pm on a Saturday. All in all their food is usually good and well presented. Jenna was very good.

A very small cozy location with a good fish fry and plenty of options for the non meat/vegan eater. I would’ve liked fries or a vegetable with my fish fry or the option of them, instead of the potato pancake. Not bad, just not for me. Service was FAST. We were out of the door start to finish in 57 minutes. Husband had the scallops and risotto and liked them as well. Would recommend this restaurant as an older family option.

Service was very good; great waitress. The fish fry (cod) was good but the pancakes could have used some other options other than sour cream, such as apple sauce and/or syrup. Maybe offer an option of French fries or pancakes. Clam chowder was excellent. We also had the bacon wrapped meat loaf and that was very good.

The food was terrible. I ordered bang bang cauliflower and received a stir-fry. It was not at all what I was expecting. I did not eat it yet was charged $18 for it. I then ordered cake with high hopes that the dessert would be better. I received a rock-hard frozen piece of cake that I could hardly get my fork through. I was so disappointed.

We chose North Star for the fish fry options. At 6:45 they were already out of two of the three options. The server also double charged us for our meals and didn't apologize when we pointed it out.

We all enjoyed our food except my husband, who had the meatloaf. He said it was very dry and overcooked. Other than his problem, all of us had a great time. I thought the service was great and the prices were reasonable. We will have to come back for sure.

The food was awesome! A great Friday fish fry! Just be prepared to wait~even with reservations.we were seated about 10 minutes past reservation and then initially ignored by the sever. It was not really anyone’s fault as she had a huge number of tables to cover. Once we were able to place our order, others brought out food so it was still hot. Once the restaurant started emptying out, our server was able to check on us and was great. We would definitely go back as the menu is varied and appealing.
