   Always a lovely experience as a solo diner at the bar. Love the rotating menu so there's something new to try every time I'm in town for a visit. Servings are just right so you don't feel you've overdone it even with three courses and dessert. Fantastic staff behind the bar. Shoutout to the 2 Ellens, Shameen and Dan.

   Our server Sebastian was amazing. Knew his menu and wines and made recommendations and accommodations for my husband’s food allergies. Food was very creatively presented and food quality was great, although a bit pricey. Overall greatly enjoyed our dinner out and would recommend for special occasions.

   They brought the steaks cold and when we complained told us "that's the way its' supposed to be served". We had to press the issue for them to go back & bring it hot. They kept really pushing us to "rush-rush" because their kitchen closes at 9 pm. We found it odd they would take reservations at 8 pm and keep rushing customers... perhaps planning better around this would be wise for mgmt. Overall wouldn't recommend - you're paying a lot for not so great quality. Much better options around. If you're looking for genuine Italian - this is def. not the place.

   Great food and great service. Our server was extremely patient with us despite us both being exhausted (he explained the menu to us twice with all the details!), and very attentive.

   The service, the wine were both very good. We had different choices: the polpette as usual were good. I was looking forward to the Vitelli tonnato which is my favourite dish however though I like that you chose to serve it as a carpaccio it was so meager that it would hardly classify as an appetizer. I doubt that there was more than 20gm on my plate. Two of us took the gemmelini: my friend is more polite than me and declared that she did not really like them. I must let you know and I did to our server, that they were unedible! I appreciate that you took it off my husbands bill. The cheese with balsamic saved the day but i'm not sure at this point I will go back and neither of my friends.

    It was a nice evening with friends. Food was great and the service was good as well. The main dishes at the end were not hot, rather cool to be honest but very tasty. I would definitely recommend

    Really lovely experience. Food was thoughtful and tasty and atmosphere intimate and friendly. Nice portions. Solid cocktails. Good vibe and high level, knowledgeable service. Each menu item was explained to us by our server, which was an impressive aspect of the experience. We felt very comfortable and well looked after. A hidden gem in Centretown. Can't wait to go back.

    Our server Ellen did an incredible job making our dinner an unforgettable experience. Every detail was exquisite and she was engaging and helpful while we struggled to make our choices. The menu was art in action. Everything from the drinks to the desserts was expertly balanced and could appeal to those of the most refined palates and those looking for simple and straightforward tastes.

    Very noisy when we arrived. Settled down when a couple of large groups (5 and 3 people) left. Food is excellent and well presented. Vitello tonnato is beautifully presented and quail were excellent; both highly recommended. We chose only an antipasta and a secundi. Bigger eaters should probably have the primi as well. Overall an excellent restaurant with great food and very knowledgeable and attentive service.

    I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! I booked a late reso last minute and my options were bad and counter and I chose counter not knowing what it meant. It was a counter facing into the kitchen which made a super fun experience watching all the food go out. The food was excellent. The service was excellent—we asked for wine pairings and they were perfect. Dessert was good but prob my least favourite course—possibly because I was way too full but ate it anyway. Definitely a great spot for a fun night out and excellent meal.

    Authentic dishes, great atmosphere, crafty cocktails, and amazing service. What's not to love? Highly suggest this place for a business meal with clients or a romantic dinner for two. Large bar area perfect to grab a few drinks or envoy a complete meal for more of an energetic vibe, or dining room seating for something a little more quiet and intimate.

    We were taken aback by the level of service, intention and care of the North and Navy team. The food was exquisite, the service and knowledge extraordinary and the team was very accommodating of our dietary restrictions. Will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our family and friends and we definitely plan to be back!

    North and navy, made our Valentine’s Day wonderful. Greeted us at the door took our coats no ticket needed and when we came to get our coats, they were waiting to hand them to us. They are organized and efficient. As much as the Valentine’s Day meal was a five course fix meal they did make exceptions for our allergies. Between me and my wife, we have a series gluten-free dairy free, no peanuts and no strawberries or raspberries. Their substitutions were amazingly fantastic. My wife was unbelievably impressed with the substitutions they made me a custom dessert for her she currently is in love with. I recommend the north and navy experience to anyone looking for and unique dining experience especially for date night.

    Ambience and service were fine but the value for money you get for the food is poor in my opinion. The execution of the dishes is good in terms of the quality of the cook on the food (pasta al dente, salmon beautifully tender and juicy), but the dishes are lacking a completeness in flavour profile and a special quality that makes them feel worth the price.

    Sat at the bar and had a great time, awesome service, we were able to take our time and order courses as we were ready. Bartender took the time to chat with us about different drinks and made us cocktails for our preferences, made some awesome recommendations and had us try new things. We always go to north and navy to celebrate special occasions and it will continue to be our go-to spot.
