I booked a reservation at Ninos only for the fact that the chef/owner has celiac disease. I have celiac disease as well. I figured the gluten free food would be amazing. Bread was brought to the table for the non-celiac diners in my party. No Gf bread brought or offered. After our main course came, it took me half was through our meal to flag down wait staff. When I asked for GF bread they brought cold, GF store bought bread. It was disgusting. We also ordered the side of broccoli rabe. It had been blanched but not sautéed and NOT seasoned. I told the waiter at the end of our meal (because he never came by until then) and he didn’t seem to care about the bread. He did take the broccoli rabe off our bill, but we never got to speak to the chef and he didn’t really seem to care about out complaints.
I received an email the morning of my reservation saying the location had changed and the menu at this Nino's wasn't comparable to the one I had originally chosen and viewed on line. We found the choices somewhat limited and were disappointed. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The dessert choices were especially limited, there were only four of them. I wouldn't return nor would I recommend it to a friend. There are just too many really outstanding restaurants in NY to settle for just okay.
The food isn't anything amazing. The service was really good though.
True NYC gem. Our pasta dishes came in big bowls, cooked to al dente perfection with delicious sauces. Service was attentive. Decor dates back to a little grittier times in New York City with wallpaper and tarnished mirrors. Don’t worry when you look in from the door. Rush to a table and order the amazing food.
They have the BEST gluten free pizza I've ever eaten!
By far the best Italian food we have had! We will be back!!
Found this place that I’ve walked by many times when parking across the street and had no idea it existed. Finding a decent gluten free Italian place can be difficult, but here is one. Waiter was very GF knowledgeable and both meals we had were terrific; not to mention the dessert!
Great service and delicious food at a reasonable price! Go!
Our daughters 18th birthday in the city! We found this little gem and it was truly a fantastic experience. The food was off the charts!! The owner and chef was kind enough to give us a history of the restaurant and we loved every minute! HIGHLY recommend it for midtown, it saves us a trip to Little Italy and was much better food!
Horrible Horrible Food!!! The worst food I ever had this year in NYC.
Second time I've been at Nino's and brought some new family. Everyone enjoyed there meals. Great place to grab a bite before or after a show. Versatile menu with something for everybody. Great staff and cute place to dine.
Not fancy but very fresh food, excellent gluten free pizza!
Nicely presented food and a wide assortment. Everything was tasty and well prepared.
Cute and cozy. Easy to talk and catch up with the friend I was meeting. Staff was attentive and friendly. Our food was very good! I'd especially recommend the Mac and cheese balls! Yum! I will come again.
Service was excellent. Food very tasty and reasonable.
Perfect spot for dinner for two! Service was friendly and warm. Drinks were a generous pour and the food was a great portion!
Pizza is great and all reasonably priced. Service is friendly & attentive. Perfect for a quick bite before a show.
The environment was very warm. Pizza oven in the back. Food was amazing! Best pasta sauce I’ve ever had!
Ninos 46 is very likable for the location, food and service. However, the main problem is that the restaurant has no soundproofing so the volume of people talking was deafening. There is a lot a restaurant can do to diffuse noise in a room through soundproofing, such as adding some carpeting, sound panels, etc. The other issue is that the outside name on the awning is small and one member of our party had a hard time finding the place. In spite of those two issues, the food was delicious, plentiful and served hot. Price are reasonable and plates are good for sharing. Service was very good and you can tell they are pro at getting people out in time for theatre.
Average at best. Pleasant staff. Food mediocre. We had reservations or 3 of us and had to wait 20 minutes . 3 groups of two came in after us with no reservation and we’re seated before us.
False advertisement. Gluten free options limited, workers did not seem knowledgeable, and not friendly. Bread was put down out our table, we explained we were gluten free(celiac) again. Bread was removed and bread from a plastic container was dumped on a second plate. It was stale.
Food was better than expected. The regular menu had a good list of inventive dishes. The dining room decor was less than glamorous. If the freshen the interior, we would give it another star.
My wife and I had dinner here Wednesday, May 29, 2019. I had an excellent chicken parm and my wife a wonderful mushroom ravioli. I'm not crazy about mushrooms but I really enjoyed the taste I had. The salad was great and the bread quite good. We would go back. Prices very reasonable for the City. Atmosphere very nice.
We had an appetizer of breaded burrata resting in a spicy tomato sauce with crusty bread on the side, it was delicious!
Food was delicious and served quickly. There was very little noise when we ate dinner. We went there for our wedding anniversary. We would dine there again the next time we are in the city.
Sympa, repas de qualité avec un service rapide et agréable.
I’ve been here before and like the ambiance, food and cost. The staff has always been nice and the food is ready quickly.
This was the second time we’ve enjoyed ninos. Food was amazing both times. Our first visit we were a party of four and we got a lot of attention from our waiter. Unfortunately, our second time we were just a couple and we were basically ignored by the same waiter. It was very clear that he was solely interested in where the higher tips were coming from.
Excellent, as always. We had the Mac and cheese bites, pizza, skirts steak and fusilli. Fusilli and MAC and Cheese bites are a must. Great waiters and cozy atmosphere.
A great find near Time Square. Small and popular for dinner so you'll need a reservation. Server was great but stretched thin, but overall the meal moved quickly with the food arriving about ten minutes after ordering. Selection, quality, taste and portions were outstanding. Will definitely return.
Great place to bring a date or your family before a show. I'll be back!
This place is a classic option in midtown. So easy/perfect for any business or personal lunch with friends. Will be back soon!
We had a reservation and were seated right away. I am gluten free and they provided gluten free bread for the table. Server was friendly and knowledgable. My daughter had the pizza and she enjoyed it. I had lobster and shrimp fettuccine. It was good. Server took care of shelling the lobster for me.
Food was amazing, waiter wasn’t friendly. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.
Lovely Italian food. Attentive staff. Delicious cocktails. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.
Absolutely loved the restaurant. Great service, terrific bar and delicious and fresh food
Often meet colleagues here for lunch. Great spot for salads and pastas. Always busy and they try to get you in/out. This neighborhood is hard pressed for this kind of casual and good dining. Definitely worth a visit.
Excellent food, lighting quick attentive service when we needed it...
I took my girlfriend here on a date, it was fantastic. The service was great I really enjoyed my waiter and just the overall staff from the bartender to the girl at the register. The ambiance is so wonderful I highly recommend it to anyone that is considering a good time out eating or thinking of taking out someone special. Also that food was incredible on a scale of 1-10 everything is a 10.
