   Waiter Nick was horrible. Total jerk. Brought one cocktail to table for an friend and I had to ask him for mine three times. He said he was too busy putting in our food order. Speaking of food, the steaks were tough as leather and was mostly gristle. Sides were decent as were the salads and French Onion soup. Can’t express how bad their steaks were. Ive been there times but this was my last time for sure.

   Great place for a relaxing dinner with friends. Wish the menu had a little more diversity of selection. A lot of beef. We would have liked more fish selections.

I appreciate your comments in regard to a more diverse menu. Being a Chop House our focus is on our amazing cuts of meat. However, we are also proud to feature wonderful seafood options such as daily oysters, steamed mussels, crispy Ahi tuna, Skuna Bay salmon, and seared scallops. In addition, we off nightly specials and try very hard to please our customers with a diverse and interesting menu.    Our server was one of the best that I’ve ever had. The Cabernet was very good and not over priced. Would’ve liked to of had a baked potato but that was not a game changer.

   We have been visiting The Sheridan Chophouse for many years and always make a point to visit whenever we are in Telluride as it has always been excellent. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. The general impression was that the staff are waiting for the end of the season, although service was friendly. We were given a poor table when there were many empty tables; we were fed & out of the restaurant within 70 minutes, despite having cocktails and two courses. Steaks were as good as always but the mac & cheese was under cooked, under seasoned and tasteless. The meal is summed up by the fact that a virtually untouched mac & cheese was cleared without any comment or question. We will return but that is based on our many good previous experiences.

    They have us an amazing seat by the window looking out @ the majestic mountains that surround Telluride! The Matra De took care of us in the best way possible & the filets were cooked to perfection:) The mushrooms that were served on the side was icing on the cake, some of the best we’ve ever had!!

    Another super meal at the Chop House! They nail the key elements of the classy, classic steakhouse so well: well-balanced cocktails, delicious French onion soup, highest quality steak perfectly grilled, simple but tasty sides, and a well-curated wine list. To top it off, the service is attentive, low key, friendly, and professional. These are the reasons I book in at the Chop House every time I’m in Telluride.

    This, to me, was not worth the money. The experience was good, but the “storied” steak was just ok. It needed something basic—salt. For $69 per steak, the food should be excellent.

    The Chop House never fails. My family has been dining here for the past 18 years, and it is the most consistently delicious restaurant in Telluride. Three of our party had tomahawk ribeyes, one a vegan choice and two of us had a filet. The bread pudding and Creme Brûlée were fantastic. Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful dining experience for our family. We’ll see you again soon.

    Our traditional spot for our granddaughter’s birthday. Our server, Jacob, was outstanding and I would definitely ask to be seated in his section again. We piled on the food, salads, pastas, steaks, sauces, and birthday ice cream! Everything was terrific, as usual. With a now six year-old and a two year old we provided numerous challenges. Jacob dealt with our disparate needs with speed and grace. Thanks you so much for a truly memorable evening.

    The gold standard for our family celebrations. The atmosphere is joyful, the service is impeccable, and the food is outstanding.     Best restaurant in town! Dined here three times as guests of hotel. Every time, service & food outstanding. Don't miss the Bison Ribeye and scallops for dinner and the pecan-crusted trout for lunch. Save room for the flourless chocolate cake. This restaurant could easily exist in New York City and survive.

    Delicious meal and enjoyed our experience very much. Only negative was my husband ordered an old fashioned and they gave him the Rye version of the bourbon-which he doesn’t care for. He left the drink and no one said anything about him not drinking it…regardless we very much enjoyed the French onion soup, wedge salad, filet, truffle fries, mac and cheese and mushrooms! Dessert was also solid-flourless chocolate cake and ice cream! Would definitely visit again if backnin town.

    Waiter Nick in a big hurry and a bit rude. Rushed us thru dessert. Seemed to be perturbed that we wanted dessert and after dinner drinks. Food very good. Overall good experience. Service pretty good up to dessert time. Love the place and always go there when we visit Telluride.
