The staff, as usual, was awesome. We were running late, and had to push our reservation 30 minutes, and they graciously accommodated us. The filet and sirloin were perfectly cooked and amazing. The German fries are always delicious. Sparkill Steakhouse is our go-to place.

Excellent all the way around. The server made a mistake with the order and owned it. I love the honesty; kudos and extra points for that. Things happen. Excellent food and service. Will definitely return.

After waiting a while to be seated, we had a great dining experience. So many things on the menu to decide between, and then there were specials! The garlic shrimp and the portobello mushroom tapas were both terrific. The special lobster Fra Diablo was very good and the traditional paella great! So much seafood, chicken and chorizo! Nice wine selection also. Our waitress was terrific, as was the rest of the service. We will definitely come back to try all the other dishes that looked so good!

We made a point of stopping at Red Hat on our way back from Newport RI based on a previous wonderful lunch experience at Red Hat. Unfortunately, this experience was good but not great and was not worth the detour. The location on the Hudson is very nice, the service was top notch and the bread was excellent (you need to ask for it - which makes sense). However, the food was just okay and the tables were placed too close. I was bumped several times as the wait staff tried to get between tables.
