Booking was easy .. online; the staff were welcoming; and decor and table service were really excellent. Our waitress was Libby, who was attentive without being overly so .. and looked after us like Lord and Lady. The menu was great. The food was beautifully presented and in perfect quantity. It was one of the best meals out that we’ve had. I had the Lamb shank shepherd’s pie (a great twist of the classic!) and my wife had the chicken and bacon with dauphinois potatoes. The vegetables were superbly cooked .. al dente, which is perfect! The drinks were also lovely.
