The food, was as it always is at The Bell....exceptional!!! The staff are amazingly friendly & attentive. It's not our first visit, and we are sure to come back again & again!!

The food was really good.. the service was okay ish - a few things were not quite right, we had two steaks but my wife ended up with my medium rare one and visa versa. We didn’t have any steak knives so it was a bit of a sawing effort to cut through them.. but they were cooked well and good quality! We were offered an aperitif when we arrived but there was many gins to chose from but not written down anywhere.. great to have a choice but you can’t choose something if you don’t know the choice is! We ordered and starters came.. really good.. and then the steaks .. but we had no wine.. we finally got the wine list and ordered but we didn’t get the wine until after we had eaten the steak which defeated the whole reason for having it in the first place! Nobody offered coffee so we paid and went home.. I found afterwards that 14 covers were booked and they ended up doing 42 .. there was staff for 14! So this could explain some of the service issues.. It’s a lovely place, stunning views, great food, good beer.. we will definitely go back! I think tonight was a bit of a one off..

Only complaint was you need to do small plates for seniors. Had to be 12 and under for a small plate which is a child plate. Come on don’t be so picky
