- TTimUpstate New York •1 review4.0Dined on Apr 11, 2025Ordered the beef tenderloin. Overall, it was "ok". I would probably order it again. But the the mashed potatoes were almost as if they just came out of the refrigerator. Even the plate was cold. I was also hoping it would be a nice dinner where we could have conversation. Well, we were able to talk. But it was more of a yell. It was very loud. For the price, I don't know if I would go back just to get cold food again. It wasn't a terrible experience. Just a let down as I was really looking forward to a good dinner/evening.More infoChesterfield's TavoloPrice: Moderate• Italian• Utica•4.3
- MMicheleNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully set and the service pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was a slight negative, and due to the age and location of the space, was a musty smell initially upon entering. A little bit like a grandparent's house, too! :) In no way did that impact the overall experience for us, and we will definitely be back.More infoCanal Side InnPrice: Expensive• French• Utica•4.7
