Love going to Nectar. Was very cold in the dining area though and food was served warm. Not hot.
Great service and food keep us going back year o er year.
We have always enjoyed Nectar. Not so much now. Food was way below their normal standards. Calamari tasted like rubber. A lobster dish for $45 was way over priced and had little to no taste. The rib eye was unusually fatty. The best part of the meal was the lobster fried rice. Our server was friendly but very busy and not as attentive as he should have been.
Excellent service-even brought a birthday cake to celebrate my guest ‘s special day.
First, I requested a special table. They offered horrible tables and we finally settled on a table upstairs. The service was average at best. Not at all what we are accustomed to at this restaurant. My husband ordered a second drink. After waiting 20 minutes I flagged down our waiter to inquire. Apparently never ordered. The food was excellent as always, but I have to say, I was surprised at the poor service. Hopefully this was just a off night. I doubt if we will go there again for a special occasion.
We had a perfect dining experience
The hostess’ were great
Awesome server !
Had the salmon/avocado sushi as an appetizer and we both ordered the striped bass entree
Wonderful experience including the friendly valet guys as always a nice evening
Can’t wait to return
Followed by mini doughnuts and drinks
I had not been here is several years and I will not wait that long again! Tuna tartare and sushi are super fresh and the rack of lamb sea bass were excellent. Great atmosphere and service.
Awesome! Awesome!! A++ Get the edamame dumplings. Promise you won’t regret it!!
New Year’s Eve
We went for dinner on New Years Eve and the service was absolutely outstanding as well as the food! Our entrees were a bit slow coming out from the kitchen which is to be expected on a night like that if you’re realistic, but we didn’t even notice that was the case until our server apologized because we were having such a great time. It was so nice to not be rushed and to be able to enjoy our time together in such a beautiful restaurant. Everyone from the hostess to the bartenders to the girl who took our coats were warm and friendly. A great experience from the moment we walked in until we left.
We will definitely be back for our next date night or special occasion!
New Year’s Eve
Beautiful and delicious! I will go back for sure!
This place never disappoints! Excellent from the time you pull up to valet until you drive home. They used to call it the "Buddakan of the Mainline", but this place in my opinion is better due to a better more well rounded menu. If you haven't been go don't wait!
Birthday celebration. Our waiter was the best. Attentive and infirmative
Great atmosphere with a professional wait staff who are knowledgeable of the menu. Dishes are creative and very tasty. Have been to Nectar a number of times and always have a very good dinner plus our guests have always enjoyed the evening.
Another excellent meal, you must try the Foie Gras!
Food was excellent but service needs to be more attentive.
Out of the three menus provided to us, one menu was empty, second was missing pages, third menu had food stains on the pages.
It took forever to get our food and we had to ask for missing item. Okay, mistakes happen, I will let that one go.
Food was practically left on our table for us to figure it out.
I have been going to Nectar's for 2 decades, but this is the first time I was disappointed and embarrassed as I had recommended this place to my work colleagues.
it was very good the food was good and the service was great
Hawkeye our waiter is the best deserves accolades. He made the night with his knowledge, attentiveness and spirit. Nectar is our go-to for excellent food, service and consistency.
Fun place,, great staff. Try the striped bass.
I was there for a lunch with friends and chose meals from the lunch menu, so I am not sure whether regular menu would have offered much better options. The food was Ok, but nothing special and definitely was not worth more than $30 per lunch (including a beer). The service was Ok, but not as professional as I had expected.
I took my three teenage daughters to nectar Sunday evening. My kids don’t agree on anything except that Nectar is the best restaurant... every time.
The service was terrific, and the appetizers were so delicious it left us eagerly anticipating our entrees. Unfortunately, the entrees for each of us seemed a bit bland and lacking the same character as the appetizers, but it could be that our choices were not the right ones for us. We'll be back to try again!
Food was fun and very tasty
Nectar is an amazing restaurant. You owe it to yourself to experience such outstanding food. Do yourself a favor and order a dozen oysters. You won’t be sorry!
Waiter was not up to par. Didn’t ask if we have been there before to go over the menu or if there was daily specials or not.
We were at the Nectar restaurant in Berwin. Everything was fine, but the service was superb!
The perfect date night, as always! Delicious lamb and amazingly fresh sushi rolls.
I haven't been here in years. I remembering being good but expensive. I decided to take my fiance and try it out again. We felt like all you are paying for is the atmosphere at this place. Our usual sushi spot has much better fish quality. Portions are small here. Our service was terrible and I felt like we were judged right away when we ordered two unsweetened iced teas instead of alcoholic drinks. Then we ordered over $100 worth of sushi and appetizers. We wont be going back here anytime soon. It's a shame.
Nectar is always good but the menu has not changed much in many years. Hoping they decide to add some new options before we come back.
Great experience. Excellent service and food. Looking forward to return visit.
We hadn't been to Nectar in about 10 years. Nothing much has changed except the Menu. The place was still packed, there is still Valet parking and the food is still delicious. Heavy on the seafood and Sushi/Sashimi. Still a great place to be but it was obvious that the dining crowd is now much younger; more like Millennials. The bar is hopping busy. It won't take us another 10 years to return. A reliable restaurant in Philly's Mail Line. Book early; reservations are hard to come by at the last minute.
It was perfect for our anniversary!
We have been regulars at Nectar for years. The food is always fresh and perfectly spiced. The crowd is upscale and extremely polite. People watching is always fun and everyone seems outgoing and fun. The menu always has a surprise or two and the Sushi creations are usually worth bragging about. I go there for dates. I have taken my kids there many times and hosted many family gatherings as well as my business partners for happy hour. I highly recommend Nectar as it has never let me down.
Love it. Steven should shut it down for 48 hours and steam clean the entire venue from stem to stern. It’s time. Lots of grime everywhere.
Excellent dining. I have been before, so I was excited to share it with my guests. The only negative, is that despite it being a quiet evening ( there were many open tables) we were seated right next to the servers stand.
I was quite surprised by this- since I was with new associates, I did not ask to be moved. I found this off putting for an otherwise excellent experience. I will specify this if I choose to go again.
This is the best restaurant on the Main Line. The service is exceptional and the food is great. The sushi is out of this world.
I like the food at Nectar and the service is excellent. It is a bit noisy for my taste.
