The food is tasty overall with excellent marinara sauce in the pasta dishes. The bread they serve with Olive Oil is soft, warm, and delicious! The sizzling shrimp with garlic was tasty but overpriced at $17. The service is excellent and waiter Jesus was very nice. I overall think this is a good Italian restaurant. My biggest beef with it is that the ambience is average for and for the dish quality, the dishes are truly OVERPRICED. I paid for example $24 for Chicken Marinara. It is a good dish but not $24. If I had to estimate a fair price for the dish, I would say $14-$15 max. I think Il Capero is charging at top prices but truly doesn’t have the quality of restaurant and the elite level of taste to be in the 20-30$ range for their dishes. I will likely not go back here again mainly due to the pricing being too much for what you get. To dismiss any concerns that I do not like to spend money, I eat at 5 star restaurants throughout the world and in the US and Michelin rated restaurants with VERY expensive menus so I know quality and am not afraid to spend top dollar for an outstanding meal. I think Il Capero has a good product but must price themselves downwards a little for what you get.
Loved it! Solicitous service, knowledgeable staff. I love that you can get half portions of the pasta dishes. The only disappointment was the quality of the Hamachi, but it was still a great meal overall.
We absolutely luv this restaurant. Been dining there for 25 months wars. The service and food is excellent.
We always request Pablo as our waiter and he always takes great care of us. He’s the best waiter in
This is a hidden gem in Reston. Everything we got was great- hot and fresh- and they managed the special requests and substitutions perfectly. While we've ordered pizza to go here in the past, it was our first time dining in and ordering entrees, and our meal tonight made us wonder what took us so long to give them a try.
Not only was the food great, the service was excellent. We took a chance here, planning a rare dinner out for my father for his birthday. What was unexpected was that even though we aren't regulars, they treated him like a king. As soon as I was seated (first to arrive), the host noticed I was carrying a card addressed to "Dad," and asked if we were going to be celebrating his birthday. The waiter was told by the host, and so not only did the waiter wish my dad a happy birthday as soon as he arrived, even though we turned down ordering dessert after our meal, the waiter surprised my dad with a slice of cake and candle. Free birthday desserts are relatively rare at restaurants nowadays, even more so when a big deal isn't made by the family to the restaurant. I mean the host just saw a card in my hands, that was it, and yet they went over and above to make this night special for my dad. Much appreciated.
Really a nice night here. We'll be back.
