My wife and I went to Oak & Palm for the weekly prime rib special and the 1/2 price botles of wine. Overall, we enjoyed the food, service, and wine very much and will return. First, the restaurant was not overly busy and we were seated upstairs with good views of the water. There were not many people upstairs so it was relatively quiet, but I can see when it is crowded it will be noisy because of the metal roof. Both of our prime rib entrees were cooked as ordered, and were tender. My wife ordered a small house salad and I ordered the Lemon Pepper Calamari as starters which we both enjoyed. I susbstituted fries for the mash potoatoes. We both noted that the meat, au jus, and my fries were very salty. My wife usually adds salt but even she thought it was too much. The excess salt is the only negative to our dinner. I ordered a bottle of Paso Robles cabernet which turned out the be excellent - soft tannins and easy to drink. We were going to skip dessert but ended up ordering the Deconstructed Smores which was good, but we prefer something chocolate. As I told our waitress, they should offer the Death by Chocolate dessert that is served at the sister restaurnat Le Volte. Speaking of our server - she did an excellent job. She was friendly and attentive, We have ben fans of James' restaurants since the early days of Angelo's in Shallotte. We are looking forward to the reopening of Chianti South in Little River.

Great food, great service, great view! Looking forward to coming back and spending time at the rooftop tiki bar.
