We chose to name our restaurant after the iconic coastal state of Jalisco, Mexico- a special place viewed as an emblem of Mexican culture, history and cuisine. Seafood, pork and beef are essential in Jalisco’s culinary scene and we’ve brought the authentic recipes to James Island. Jalisco and South Carolina are both coastal states and you will find seafood as an important staple in cuisine. We honor the traditions of where this food started, using fresh, local ingredients to make traditional dishes that are savory and delicious. Chef Michael Harvey has assembled a team that is passionate about cooking this cuisine and bringing ideas to Charleston that exemplify Jalisco, MX. Our bartenders enjoy crafting fresh margaritas using simple organic ingredients. Our tequila selection is as varied and diverse as Jalisco. We offer many different flight options to try these different tequilas. We have plenty of outdoor patio space, cornhole, foosball and an area to let the kids be kids.

Discover James Island

Surrounded by the Charleston Harbor, James Island is home to a number of dining options, especially if you’re yearning for fresh seafood. You can enjoy crab legs, fish tacos or lobster bisque in a relaxed atmosphere at one of the island's many casual seafood restaurants. As a part of South Carolina's Lowcountry, James Island offers a number of spots where you can enjoy shrimp and grits, crab soup or Lowcountry boil, which is a steam pot stuffed with shrimp, sausage and corn. Given its Southern location, it’s no surprise that James Island is also home to barbecue joints where you can sample beef brisket and chopped pork. Alongside these traditional American restaurants, you can also find authentic Italian restaurants and Mexican taquerias.
