Muse at Benaroya Hall
Wait staff was attentive, martini and coffee good, food not appealing. We were so disappointed in the quality of the food. The dessert was not edible. We were excited to try Muse for our preshow dinner to the New Years Eve Bash at Benaroya. We will not return and I would not recommend to friends.
The Muse was just right...it was an enjoyable fixed menu and so nice to be so conveniently down the hall from the Symphony. I keep going back! 👍🏽
Delightful service and well priced food. We had a great time for NYE!
There was great service from seating to leaving. The environment is excellent and the food presentation is beautiful. Bob was my server and he was very friendly and professional.
Great if you're seeing a show. Very pricey but nice.
Unusual menu, great waiter, wonderful room, excellent overall
Thank you for the wonderful evening celebrating my husband’s birthday with great food and the Symphony experience that followed.
We arrived at 6 pm, before an 8 pm performance. The location is a bit hard to find. You have to get your tickets scanned at the Benaroya Hall lobby entrance, cross the lobby, then around a corner, down a long hall, and finally end up a "The Founder's Room".
It's clear it wasn't originally set up as a restaurant space and is really just a big room with a bar that's meant for hosting a variety of events. However, it was set up very nicely for dining. There were no bad tables.
Our server was great. Very professional but relaxed at the same time.
The food was great. I don't have much to say. It's simple yet classy and well done.
I would come back again next time we're going to a performance at the hall.
Very classy, the servers wear suits instead of uniforms.
Food was good! Server was great! We were there at 6:15pm before a 8pm concert. Our food didn't arrive until 7:30 - way too slow!
Our evening started out very well for our pre-preformance meal, our first time at Muse. Four of us were there at Benaroya to celebrate our December birthdays. Initially and throughout most of our time there, the wait staff was attentive and the food was delicious. As the time neared for us to head out to the performance we flagged and waited for the server to bring our bill. I have no idea what happened but she seemed distracted and did not acknowledge our request. By then, almost every other diner had left the room. Finally we had to leave for the performance and the maitre d' told us to go, that he would comp our meals. This was a nice gesture but overall our evening was dampened by the experience.
This is a great restaurant for pre-symphony. Food is always good with interesting and tasty choices.
A very convenient location for the symphony in Benaroya Hall. Food was lacking considerably. Seared tuna extremely dry with orange risotto which didn’t compliment the dish. The pork loin was served luke warm the first time, then they reheated it, but again very dry with scalloped potatoes that were made hours in advance. We didn’t opt for dessert although the server did offer since the pork loin was cold. $45 seems like a high price to pay for a mediocre meal. We won’t be back.
The service was exceptional. The food was marvelous. You can tell the cooks are extremely creative I their abilities.
A great place to eat prior to a concert. The French Chocolate cake was enough for 2 people.
Great venue for dinner before a Benaroya event. Food and service are great as is the convenience of parking in the Benaroya garage and not having to worry about weather and what to do with coats and hats.
We loved the duck in pastry app. The rest of the food was not as good as we expected, esp. with the price. There was no time to taste dessert, due to the concert schedule. We had been seated with enough time, but the kitchen could not keep up, folks had to rush to get to the hall, even tho we were already in the building.
Such an incredible menu, and amazing service. The wait staff are clearly experts at delivering only the best customer service. My waiter preemptively brought me a drink on the house because of the wait time on my food (that I didn't even notice!)! Talk about being on the ball. So amazing!
My chicken and vegetables were cold, I asked for asparagus and ended up with rice pilaf - the fixed it, but the asparagus was cold and tough. My husbands pork loin was warm. The flavors were good. - for the price nothing to write home about.
Excellent meal. Service as well. On a tight concert schedule we were pleased with the entire evening's experience.
The restaurant is inside Benaroya Hall and only available to concert-goers with ticket in hand. The restaurant is located in space overlooking 2nd Avenue. Very convenient for Benaroya concert ticket holders. We usually make a reservation for 6PM with an 8:00 concert. Currently, there are 2 fixed price options--3 courses for $55 and 2 for $45--as well as a la carte choices. The menu is rather limited but of good value.
Food not hot. Pork dry. Potatoes stale and cold. Coffee cold.
We were first time customers and the menu was somewhat confusing as to the 2 and 3 course dinners. A short explanation would have helped.
The staff was helpful in getting us the bill so we could get to the concert on time without rushing.
Our first experience at Muse about six months ago was not remarkable because the food did not seem particularly good. This second experience was far better, with well conceived and well served fare. We left feeling that we would be returning with pleasure as it is very convenient before concert events.
If you're going to an event in Benaroya Hall; Muse is your absolute best choice for fine dining. Great food; excellent service; and one of the best Restaurant "Rooms" in Seattle.
Service was well done but was soooooooo sloooooooooow.
the venue is very nice, cozy and quiet, the people working there are very friendly and accommodating however the food is quite expensive and mediocre at best. my husband 'steak' dish was practically inedible, tough and gristly.
This is our second dining experience - food was great. But unfortunately service was poor. Felt like we were being rushed out by the wait staff.
The most expensive terrible meal ever.
Perfect service and great meal-highly recommend!
We dine here once in awhile, mainly for the convenience to symphony performances. We dined Saturday, 10/20 and had the beef entrée. It was a crappy piece of meat to begin with and it would not have mattered much how it was prepared, still would not have been good. And, the filling was bitter. Salad was gritty, as in not adequately washed. Highlight was 'waffle' dessert. We will probably return sometime knowing that other offerings are good.
my only complaint is that they don't open at 530, so it would be more comfortable getting to the pre-Symphony lecture.
Muse is very convenient when we're attending a concert at Benaroya, especially with my 89 year old mother because it's quiet. This time the service was good, one appetizer excellent, but our main course was overdone and dry. Unfortunately we didn't have time to return.
Great for a pre-symphony dinner. Food is excellent.
The meal would have rank as excellent if the halibut had not been somewhat overcooked. service and being a quiet setting were great.
The appetizers were good. Carpaccio and Shiitake Mushrooms and spinach. Main course of Halibut was dry. Drink selection was good. Overall, it was not necessarily a memorable experience. Would not likely return. Mediocre at best. There are many other great places in town to go to, so we’d probably do that next time if we were going to an event at the Seattle Symphony.
food was amazing and very good presentation..drinks are well made as well
Food was good; soup could have been hotter. Server was excellent and friendly.
Service was uncharacteristically poor. 30 minutes waiting for a first glass of wine, first two bottle of wine selections not available ...
