    It was recommended by a friend and he wasn't wrong!!! Food was delicious!!! The presentation was amazing and the service was incredible done by Christina!! Don't doubt to visit this place

    Taylor our server was a vivacious human committed to us having a great experience. The food was great and of high quality. The evening flew by and every time we were looking up, another course arrived. I would like to see the restaurant install some sound absorption panels. Everyone was having a great time but that meant the hard surfaces really bounced all the sound which..meh became a bit loud for a fine dining experience. I’d still go back in a heart beat.

    Your food portions have noticeably been reduced and taste is off too. We’ve been coming for years including many family birthdays and regular dinners. Sad to see the change.

    Ordered two Shokai, food was fair, waiting time was too long, quantity was not enough for two people. Price was not worthy. Servers were not active at all, they couldn’t even introduce our dishes properly. When we were paying our bill one of the servers was really rude. Overall, it was a bad experience.

    We had a great experience at Minami and we will be back! The food was exceptional and our server, Lindsay, was awesome. She was very helpful with the menu and guided us expertly throughout our meal.

    The food was beautifully presented and all three of us were impressed with the flavours. The service was really good. I was too full but I had wanted to try one of their desserts. They sound great and you don't usually get much choice for desserts in a Japanese restaurant. We will be back.

    My friend and I selected and enjoyed the Blue Ocean Shokai and Minami Shokai along with the sake pairings. We liked the variety of seafood, poultry, wagyu beef, and vegetables that demonstrated a complexity of Japanese flavors and preparation methods. I like to look for sake that I enjoy, so one suggestion is to list the names of the sake with each course. We look forward to our next opportunity to return to Minami!

    Excellent experience! Service was exceptional. Answered tons of questions, very knowledgeable about sake and sushi, and provided great tips on what to order. We found the food to be top notch and fresh. Vegetable dishes were a great accompaniment to the sushi.

    Happy hour is misleading as it is just a smaller version of the big menu but at the same price. Patio is not open as advertised on signs. Service from Michelle absolutely amazing

    First off, location is great. Atmosphere is a tad noisy when crowded,but upbeat and nice decor. Although this supposed to be a smart casual, they won't turn people away for dressing in gym clothes, so no worries 😁. Food! Ohhh is really is delicious, we tried all 3 of the rolls on the menu as well as the Minami sashimi combo. 🎉👌👌👌 All were yummmm. Service... I really enjoyed the attention to guests there, from the top down individual servers. Definitely would like to return here next time we visit Vancouver.

    I felt the quality of the food went down. The sushi wasn’t looking fresh and the appetizer fried Brussels was over burnt and maybe the frying oil seems to be to old which gave it a darker fried color. Given that Minami is a higher tier restaurant, my mom was not impressed by her first time there for Mothers Day.
