What Insiders Are Saying
There’s this thing. It’s called The Feel Good Factor™. Meadowsweet in Williamsburg has a whole bunch of it.
Father’s Day brunch. It was lovely !
Amazing food, every brunch dish was well balanced. Service was ok, felt a bit rushed at some points.
We had a table of 5 people for a 7pm reservation and everything was fine until it was time to order. One of the specials was Swordfish, which one person in our party was excited to order. However, the waitress informed us after we ordered that the kitchen had run out of Swordfish for the evening. It was pretty disappointing that they ran out of their special so early in the evening.
One of the best restaurants that my family and I have ever been to.
Do not order the tasting menu. Even at the discounted 85 dollars you are buying blind. The chef "curates" the menu. In our case, this included none of the day's specials. but instead we were served boring and bland stock items, which none of us would have chosen. Only the first two courses were tasty and interesting. The service did not meet Michelin standards. Our server abandoned us mid meal and the person who had been clearing dishes filled in. No explanation or notice of this. The bartender was a bright spot. She was very innovative, personable and accommodating.
Great menu and delicious food, nice staff, good vibes.
Food is incredible !!
The kitchen at Meadowsweet does really well with Spring produce. Fried artichokes were especially excellent. Cocktails and service were great as usual.
So good. The food is always good. The service can be iffy. Tonight it was spot on. Really nice evening
This is a “find” for those looking for interesting, flavorful food, great cocktail and wine list with knowledgeable service. Thanks!
Excellent food and drinks. The hostess was very polite and greeted us as soon as she noticed us. The table was dirty and had a few sticky food items from before at 3 spots. The server was not so much into giving us a tour of the menu or what the place is about either. Would have ordered so much more should she have given us a description of the menu. When the food is so good the service should follow with ease. or at least a smile :)
Literally amazing. I have so many great things to say about brunch that I can't keep them all straight - I do know that I'll be back very soon with many more epeopke so they can all enjoy how fantastic it was! The duck hash especially!
Me and my Boyfriend spend a lot of time searching for restaurants, as we are both Chefs and make our meals at home. We visited Meadowsweet a few weeks ago and started recommending it to other industry friends as we had a fantastic meal. We were so disappointed to go back this past Saturday and have what was one of the worst meals we’ve experienced. Everything was extremely under seasoned. Our pea and burrata appetizer was basic, bland, and the peas were extremely undercooked. The pasta also bland and boring. Lastly my boyfriends chicken was dry, and my duck skin was not crispy and served with under seasoned bland mole. I was so disappointed we thought meadowsweet would become our new go to place. Back to the drawing board I guess!
One of my new favorite restaurants. Truly outstanding.
Good food, reasonable prices. The wine list can use an upgrade, but you can bring your own bottle for a $35 corkage fee. We got the crispy artichokes (excellent), the hamachi crude (not that great), the ribs (too sweet), Cavatelli with duck ragu (excellent). Overall a good place for dinner
We loved our experience at Meadowsweet. We were well taken care of by the professional and courteous staff. Food was crazy good! We did a tasting menu and loved everything the chef prepared. The wine parings were excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely restaurant!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all NYC. Only been for dinner which is nice and calm environment. Brunch is completely different vibe and energy. The food was also amazing all around
Great food, excellent service!
This place never disappoints, the food was cooked perfectly and all the components of each dish matched perfectly. Meadowsweet is the most consistent restaurant I have been to, it is always amazing
Always top shelf
The air conditioning was way too high. We have been freezing for the whole meal. Food was good but the place was too noisy.
The food was delicious, well prepared and beautifully served. The pace at which the meal proceeded was perfect and our server, Emerson, was knowledgeable, affable and witty. Wine pairings and dishes were well described and each course matched perfectly.
This restaurant is second to none. They make you feel like family the moment you walk in the door, and it only gets better from there. Superb is the only word to describe the food. Shout out to the hosts!
I came here for my boyfriends Birthday on a Monday night. The place was lightly filled and the food was next level good. The thing that stood out the most was the ribs. Overall we loved it.
We really enjoyed our dinner. There were some service slip ups but the food made up for it! We had some picky eaters at the table and we heard your salmon dish was one of the best they had. Crispy artichokes are a must order! Food was very approachable, delicious, fresh and we'll definitely be back.
Warm in atmosphere and service. Cozy and delicious. I love that space is used to grow herbs.
We went for mother’s day and had the Pri fix brunch. The food was bland, menu limited, and way over priced. The space is nice but nothing else special to write about.
We went to Meadowsweet for my husband's birthday with another couple on Saturday night. They were busy but not overwhelming. Noise level was good, we could hear each other fine. Everything we ate was amazing, I don't think you could go wrong no matter what you order. And their bread, omg, so good. They surprised us with complimentary champagne to celebrate the bday which I thought was very nice and they put a candle in the desert. We got the chocolate cake, super delicious. I'm already looking forward to going back!
Dressler was one of my favorite restaurants for brunch and dinner so when it reopened as Meadowsweet, I was really happy but I must admit that brunch has never been the same. The taste of the salad and home fries is average and the taste of most dishes is just OK ( yes, I have tried almost everything). I also do not appreciate getting half a glass of orange juice when I order a glass. If profitability is an issue, they should charge more to serve a full glass. Why am I writing this? Hoping for an awakening... However, dinner continues to be outstanding.
The food was great but the service has really gone down here. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Saturday night but they seemed understaffed. The same guy was taking all the orders and clearing tables, he was trying but was understandably overwhelmed. Food came out sporadically and water wasn’t refilled until the end of the meal as well.
We decided to walk over the Williamsburg bridge and have brunch in Williamsburg. What a great idea. Food was both familiar and unfamiliar, but anything with eggs was good. Close to bridge and in nice area.
This is our new favorite place! Aside from friendly, knowledgable, and hard working staff, the food is just really freakin' good. It is some of best food I have had in a while. You basically have fine dining quality (and in my opinion better) in a neighborhood setting and ambiance. Cheers to Meadowsweet!
This is an outstanding find in Williamsburg! The food is delicious with the house made rolls a big hit. Good wine list, lovely service. Will definitely be back!
The food is decent and the service is attentive.
The building was beautiful and the food was wonderful! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious
Food was tasty but the brunch portions were unexpectedly small. Really low value for money compared to what you can typically expect.
Great brunch, great service and ambience. Will definitely return.
Like the ambiance and the clean decoration. We went for brunch and the food was fresh but not a wow. It was good overall but not like we really have to go back there. We expected more uniqueness in the menu but it is just regular omelets and chicken sandwich. We like the empanadas though but think the beef should be more chunky instead of minced.
I had a great brunch! Male sure to get the homemade donuts. They’re so worth it!
Terrific place. Go early and dine for a few hours with friends.
