Masseria dei Vini
Restauranteur Pino Coladonato, Peppe Iuele and Enzo Ruggiero have teamed up again with Interior Designer Libby Langdon, bringing you a modern update version of "Masseria". In the region of Puglia, in South Italy, Masseria were Fortified Farmhouses, and many of them now have been transformed into Restaurants or Hotels.
Executive Chef Pino Coladonato, native of Rutigliano (Bari), has created a menu that blends traditional with modern without overpowering one or the other.
The Menu features typical dishes from Puglia, such as "Crudo", the Italian word for "Raw", made with fish and shellfish, a lot of fresh homemade pastas and Ravioli.
The menu also offers Gourmet Pizza Neapolitan style.
The Restaurant offers an extensive wine by the glass program and a large selection of wine bottles, mainly from Italy, but without ignoring the rest of the world.
great food, elegant place
Wonderful Italian restaurant.
Feels more like locals than tourists.
My colleague and I were able to get a short notice reservation and enjoyed our meal very much. We each had specials and a glass of wine - all recommended by our waiter who was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back!
We live in Times Square and have been dying for authentic Italian - This place hits the mark every time! We bring family and friends for all our celebrations because we know the dinner, AND dessert, will be delicious. The service is at the right level of attentiveness, and we always enjoy ourselves.
This was our first time at this restaurant, recommended by the concierge at our hotel. Not what we expected - not one item on the menu with a red sauce! But everything we had was delicious!! Service was excellent, and they have GREAT bartenders! Hubby had a baked salmon with a very light mustard sauce - yummy! I had one of the daily specials, a veal chop in a port wine sauce - also yummy! Desert was a great tiramisu for hubby, and a flowerless chocolate almond cake for me -- truly special!! We can't wait to visit New York again to eat here...
We were looking for authentic Italian food and found it! Food was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful. Wait staff super friendly and helpful.
Masseria dei Vini is a lovely restaurant, located on 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, just below Columbus Circle. The food was delicious--particularly the roasted quail and the Pugliese pizza. The wine list has very nice selections. My only complaint is that the menu and wine list are priced a bit high. Still, we had a very nice dinner, and we thought the service was excellent.
We have been to this restaurant many times and always enjoy it. That’s why it was disappointing that one of us was served over cooked halibut. The other dishes were excellent including a risotto with lobster and an excellent pasta special.
The service was friendly and efficient. We were out in time to go to our concert without feeling rushed.
Food was good; too much salt in zucchini. Fish was good. Staff is very efficient though main course took too long to come. Noise level was good so could talk easily. Good food. Solid restaurant.
I still cannot get over how delicious this meal was. Fresh pasta was incredible, marinated zucchini that came with the burrata was perfectly done. However the most amazing part of the meal was dessert- the ricotta cheesecake. I’ve had a lot of desserts in my life and this by far was the best desserts I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in nyc.
Great place excellent food and great service !!! Fantastic wines
The restaurant was too noisy and too hot for us to enjoy our meal. Food is good. But not a pleasant experience.
Very nice spot. Meal and service were very good! Will be back.
When I visit NYC , this is a MUST for cocktails at the lively followed by fantastic dinner with outstanding menu and wine selection
Dined at MDV on Saturday night. In a nutshell--- the food was absolutely outstanding. It was truly delicious and many of the dishes are unique. The noise level, however, was unbearable. There were 3 parties going on that night and it was impossible to hear across our table of 4. If I return, I will ask for a table on the other side of the restaurant far from the bar area.
Consistently delicious with superb service. I’ve been here for business lunches, dinner dates and with groups of 10, and the experience is always the same...perfect!
This is an amazing restaurant. The pasta was handmade and some of the best we have ever had. If you are in New York and looking for a hidden treasure...go here.
Nice wine selection and reasonably priced specials and signature menu. Was hoping for a more quiet atmosphere to dine in, but it was a Saturday in NYC. Celebrated my wife’s birthday and the servers came over and sang to her which I don’t think is the norm. Excellent service. Would return with 4 or more to join in the conversational fray.
Excellent all the way around. Food, service definitely will return
This was our third time dining at Masseria di Vini and never fails to amaze us. Food and service were outstanding. We go to Jazz at Lincoln Center often and Masseria di Vini will be our "go to" restaurant. Love it!!!
Excellent food, great bottle of wine, and impeccable service. Will go back every chance I have.
Food just ok give the price. Caprese salad $36.00. Expected great tomatoes and wonderful cheese, but not so much. Entree just ok, and as the commercial says , just ok is not ok.
Great food, ambiance, service....but the wine program here is amazing. Love it everytime we come!
Lovely experience! It was my husbands birthday. Excellent food. Attentive service. Great wine list. We will return soon!!
Been here plenty of times, this is the BEST RESTAURANT IN NYC! The FLAVORS ARE EXTRADINAY, The PRESENTATION ARE ARTISTIC & BEAUTIFUL, Service is VERY Attentive! Best Kept Secret in NYC! From the Flavorful Salads, Appetizers, Homemade Pastas & Fresh Fish, and the Incredible tasting Desserts, I cannot say enough about this wonderful Place, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS INCREDIBLE RESTAURANTE!
Best in the city!!!!!
Too damn noisy, far too expensive and portions too meager.
We took our nephew from California there for the first time and he loved it as much as we do!
Everything was fantastic. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations. Thumbs up to the eggplant cakes. Nothing like a typical melanzane. The cavatelli isn't described properly --it's not a mixed seafood sauce, it's with mixed seafood. Glad I asked. And even more glad I ordered it. Each dish seems to have a delicious twist of flavors. They even somehow managed to turn "simple ravioli" into a new experience. Just go. You will not be disappointed.
Happy they now have female waiters as well as male. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC
This our second visit here and both have been exceptional. We don’t like to eat so close to Times Square when we see the show so this is a perfect spot. Just a short walk. Food is great. Service is amazing. Great wine list. Highly recommend.
Overpriced. One can get a comparable dish for much less in many good NYC Italian restaurants. The food was good, but not great for the amount of money charged. I wasn’t blown away.
Spectacular! It has a great, sophisticated vibe! The food was delicious as well. My boyfriend had the gnocchi and I had the sea bream. The staff was friendly and very attentive as well. Would definitely revisit!
They never disappoint. The best meal in Manhattan.
My favorite restaurant in NYC. The food is exceptional. The atmosphere is exceptional. I feel like an old friend each time I arrive at this restaurant. The wait staff takes time and attention to my every request.
I brought a friend with me this time and she is now a follower of this wonderful restaurant group! There are two in Manhattan! I had the halibut which was done beautifully with mash potatoes and greens. My friend enjoyed the risotto of the day with shrimp. The wine list recently won an award for outstanding choices 2019. But nothing brings me back more than the dessert of pannacotta! Please visit this GEM! You will not be disappointmented.
Came here for anniversary dinner, the food and wine were amazing ! Highly recommended!
Food is excellent. Some salads are a little pricey, But delicious!
Conveniently located and a great place to have authentic Italian dishes. The pizza is one of the best in New York, it's as delicious as those we had in Italy, even the bread sticks are exceptional good!
It was great! All staff was very kind and we’ve received a complimentary dessert for our special occasion.
I definitely recommend the place!
