Food is an essential part of all family and social interactions in the Middle East where people grow up with intense flavors, colorful, vibrant foods fresh from the marketplace, prepared simply and with a lot of passion. Aromatic herbs fill the streets and a spirit of warmth and generosity exudes welcome at any table.
Here at Mamnoon, we share these strengths brought with us from Lebanon and Syria to the new world of Seattle – where modern curiosity, compassion, progressive values and tolerance are paving the way for harmonious integration and celebration of cultures and flavors.

What Insiders Are Saying
Mamnoon in Capitol Hill makes the best Mediterranean food in Seattle, and also works for just about any dining situation.
Exceptional experience. The service was great and the food was amazing, everything we ordered was outstanding, and the cocktails were outstanding as well, definitely will be going back for dinner again soon.
Overall it was pretty good. The mocktail no. 2 was fair, not as good as expected. The trout was extremely fishy, which sounds weird, but it completely threw off the flavor. The rest of the food though was overall great. The appetizer mezze platter was fantastic, and the kefta was delicious. The service was pretty good for Seattle, still could be improved. However, it’s a great eat and I’d recommend to a friend.
Fried Cauliflower was quite tasty. The moushakal combo platter was a good way to go, especially for sharing amongst 2-3 people. The only downside was that it was a rather loud due to the open kitchen and music. That's not atypical of many restaurants today, but I'd prefer it to be a bit quieter so you can better enjoy the food and company.
Overall fantastic experience! We had the cauliflower (and you should too), the mamnoon tauok, and babaganoosh!
Mamnoon is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The food is to die for and the staff are incredibility hospitable. There is not one dish that I don't love!
I love this restaurant first of all. The food is wonderful. But the service on a Saturday night for a party of 2 this past visit was pretty bad. We waited a very long time to order a drink - by the time someone came by we placed the whole order. Our waiter said he didn’t think they could make the drink I’d ordered and when it finally came another 15 minutes later, it was incorrect. We sat at our table for another 20 min with just bread, waiting for associated spread to arrive. We were told there was a problem in the kitchen. Eventually we got small plates, veeeeerrrry slowly - one by one. Then we waited another 20 minutes for chicken entree. Once someone said it’d be right out, only to have us waiting another 5-10 minutes. People all around us seemed to be getting their food.
I’m glad I didn’t get a parking ticket since my meter ran out of time since I was there much longer than I’d anticipated for dinner with 2 courses. Waiter didn’t apologize at all and we were given full bill - I’d have thought they might offer to comp something.
As always an excellent meal with delicious cocktails . Provided a birthday "bite of dessert" for the man of the day. This was the first time the service was really slow.
Great evening crowd. Service excellent, food fresh and delicious, with large shareable plates our preference. Drinks were varied, with some winners like the Sumaquiri. Will repeat here.
I rarely write reviews of restaurants but Mamnoon deserves a special shout out. My husband and I enjoy Lebanese, Turkish and Middle Eastern food but this was a step above. We started off with terrific craft cocktails. Our server, Erin, was extremely helpful as most items on the menu were new to us. Nothing we ordered was too garlicky or spicy but the flavors were complex and balanced. We started off with a selection of spreads with freshly made pita. Each spread was unique and delicious. At our server's suggestion we also tried the Muhammara which was also exceptional. For our entree we shared the evening's special: a lamb shank with "potato pillows", beans and another kind of flatbread - this one was made with yogurt. The lamb shank was quite rich so we were glad we shared it. We will be returning to Mamnoon in the not so distant future. It is worth the hassle of driving into Seattle and trying to find parking on Capital Hill.
Great authentic food and good service - especially considering it was New Years eve!!
I have seen complaints about the volume of food - but I'm European so we place more importance on quality rather than quantity ;) Big plates makes portions look averagely sized but we were both sated even before the desserts....
Fantastic hummus! The cauliflower appetizer was to die for. Great chicken dish, flavorful and moist. The vegetarian dumplings were so/so but the squash was A+. Good Baklava not too sweet. Great service on a very busy night.
Thanks for an enjoyable evening! We appreciated being able to get a reservation on NYE without having to go prix fixe. Will be back again!
The food was amazing, the ambiance was beautiful, and the drinks were delicious! I'd say that we could have had a wonderful experience except the fact that our waiter was terrible.
It didn't seem like he was listening to what we were saying at all and he was incredibly slow to place our order, slow to take our order, slow to bring the food out, and he even mixed up our dish and gave us the wrong thing. We also clearly asked him if we needed to order any additional sides for the dishes (like rice) and he said no. When he brought out the dishes it was obvious that rice or some carb side was necessary. It just seemed like he was disinterested and careless the entire time and it was difficult to enjoy the meal.
Very fun and tasty meal with attentive and friendly service. The atmosphere is energetic, tasteful and open. Some of the best pita we’ve ever had, especially when spread with delicious, fresh hummus or yogurt.
Easy to navigate menu, excellent service, fantastic food and an energetic atmosphere.
Delicious place with great shawarma. Kid friendly and well priced.
Excellent flavors, friendly service, and wonderfully romantic and hip ambiance. Great location, fun to visit Starbucks Roastery afterwards.
Wonderful staff with amazing unique food. Everytime they hit it out of the park. Nice fancy cocktail all the way to interesting desserts. Love Mamnoon, can't wait to return.
We were in Saturday Dec 22nd and had an excellent meal and the service was great
Really good, flavorful food. Our server was excellent, very professional and attentive. The price can go up very quickly so be careful if you have a budget.
Interesting menu with creative flavors and while everything was good, it was very expensive for size of dishes and did not feel it was good value for $. Service was very good and decor and space great.
Too noisy and overpriced. Disappointing experience.
We definitely should have just sat in the bar for Happy Hour, which was empty. But because we made a reservation we sat at our table and had to order off the dinner menu. Food was so/so, very salty and overpriced. The "dumplings" were tiny dry balls...not very flavorful.
I had high hopes based on a recommendation from a friend, but we found the food a bit dry and salty and the service was on the slow side.
My second visit to Mamnoon. The food is fantastic especially good for vegetarian options.
Took my best friend there for her birthday and we were treated amazing and spoiled. Just like any fine dining experience should be. Thank you for the awesome food and great staff. They went above and beyond.
So good. We will be back. Everything was delicious. I accidentally left my purse and the bus boy ran out of the restaurant after me and brought it to me. So thankful!!
Food was excellent but service was very slow and spotty, had to flag down our waiter multiple times, we went 20+ minutes without seeing him and our food took at least an hour. I'm OK with a relaxed pace but it was so poor that despite excellent food I would have a hard time recommending the restaurant.
They need more staff or fewer tables and probably both.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable food experience
This restaurant has always been a favorite but I think they were having an off day on our most recent visit. The food was slow and when it came it was made incorrectly ( both meals). My friends meal was served way before mine making it difficult to eat together. My friends tea was forgotten. The manager was apologetic and comped some of meal was high was appreciated but the server didn’t seem concerned at all.
Excellent small plates for sharing. Fresh breads with dips were a favorite. Especially great option if you have vegetarian and non vegetarians. The dinner options we had were okay. We shared trout and beef options. Wouldn't call it great dinner course. But overall worth visiting.
A favorite restaurant in Seattle. Consistently great food and service. The owner always stops by to say hello and express her gratitude and so I shall always do the same. Salut Mamnoon! I’ll return again and again.
Yummy Chicken schwarma for lunch
With a wonderful red lentil soup
Love this place - very reliably always great.
Portions are big.
Giving three stars and I am being generous! Went there for my husband’s birthday and our meal and the overall experience fell flat. There were a lot of misses from a not so friendly hostess greeting us to mediocre food and an OK service. We ordered a few small plates and an entree to share and clearly mentioned that we were not in any rush. We also requested that we got our meal coursed our. Within 10 minutes, EVERYTHING we ordered arrived all at once. Kefta (beef and lamb) skewer was decent but dolmeh lacked any flavor. Labneh(yogurt) was too sour and lacked seasoning. Food was overpriced for what it was. Needless to say we won’t return. They never acknowledged my husband’s birthday despite me clearly noting that on the reservation.
Went here years ago and the food was good and the portions were worth the price. In the most recent visit, over $60 was spent for very tiny portions of, less than mediocre food. We had water, one apetizer and one entre and left still hungry. It has seemed that the owner caters for pretentious white people who have never experienced authentic middle eastern food and want to seem interesting to their dull friends/ dates. If you are looking for real middle eastern food and actually want to leave satisfied this is not the place for you. This place is a pitiful discrace to Seattle.
Food was absolutely amazing. For sure going back. We had a reservation at 730 and arrived on time, but were told that our table wasn’t ready yet and offered to sit in their private dining room. (Not exactly the vibe I was looking for). This was just off the main room....But it was dark and pretty quiet and just us in there. We had to ask to be moved to the main dining room because we clearly kept getting forgotten. That took over 30 mins, and in that time other couples had been seated. I wish we would have just been given the option to wait. It took 20 mins to get drinks and 30 mins to finally get to the dining room now 8pm before our waitress spoke to us about the food menu. She was very apologetic. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this restaurant and food, but this being the first experience with service was very off putting. We will for sure be giving the restaurant another chance because the food was amazing.
Still a great meal that takes you out of the ordinary. Very enjoyable.
It was a fun night but only because I didn't let the inhospitable host ruin it. No smile, no words. Just a head lift and an attitude-filled blink which I think meant I was to give her our reservation details. The waitress was nice. She warmed up towards the middle of our dinner. Basically, I felt like I was the one working (I'm a waitress!) and trying to put everyone in a good mood. It really should have been the other way around.
All in all, I will return, but only because of the food.
We had Sunday brunch there. I really liked the Nargesi. Very efficient and friendly service.
