Skinny Onion Rings
We were traveling from the east coast and dined there on a rainy Sunday night. It was probably not a typical night as it was the night before restaurants were shut down due to COVID19 so it was especially quiet. However, the food was delicious and the service was still amazing.
We have been to this restaurant 3 times and it is the best steakhouse in the SBA area. Our only complaint is that the service seems fairly inattentive and a bit pretentious. Good weekend brunch too.
We frequent the restaurant at least once a month and we never get a good table.
Lovely, with the exception of the LSD aficionado in the corner who was promptly removed by the fantastic staff
Great experience as always. Joaquin took extra good care of us.
This is the gathering place for Hollywood's "Forgotten" or "Wannabes" The level of Egomania is deafening. (Donnie Trump would be right at home in this establishment). Wine is overpriced. Pecans in their desert were burned not candied. I sent a special notice that it was my wife's B-day....nothing. Worst of all though: I'm still trying to figure out how a Medium Rare steak can be soooo dry and flavorless. I will not be burned (like their Pecans) again by this overpriced, glorified Deli-like atmosphere!!!
Stellar as always. We enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Food and service is always spectacular.
Simple the very best dining in so cal
Food was excellent and so was service. We enjoyed very much!!!
For a highly rated steakhouse, we found Lucky’s to be surprisingly average on the steak side. Today’s great steak houses do not cook with so much butter and we found the steak chewy for a high end steak. The potato skins were bland. Sitting in the room just behind the door into the dining room was just a bad set of tables. Every person coming in and every staff person walks buy the table. Those tables should be the last ones used and not every table was full. This was thru open table and we felt they used those tables for those reservations but that could be in error.
Shocked at how terrible this place was. Very expensive, lots of attitude and a server who didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine. We sat waiting for 45 mins before our server returned. She barely spoke to us throughout the entire evening, not checking on us once! They will always be busy, people will always go there as it is so famous. However they shouldn’t get away with terrible service and ‘I don’t give a ‘ attitude. Won’t be back - don’t waste your money here. It’s simply not worth it.
I ordered a steak medium, and it came raw. I sent it back, and it returned 15 minutes later rare. I’m my opinion, an upscale steak restaurant like Lucky’s should be able to cook a steak within one level of doneness, not 3. Why did it take so long to recook?
Great dinner. Interesting menu options. Good service. Good bar. Overall enjoyable evening.
As always, Lucky’s was wonderful for restaurant week. I had the tomato bisque. It lacked a bit of flavor. All of us ordered the pork chop. It was tender and juicy and very large. The cheesecake was excellent. The service was excellent as well. Was seated early even though the restaurant was packed for a Friday evening. Very nice experience.
Service was to rush,,
Another fantastic dinner at Lucky's. The food (the Filet Mignon's that they serve are the best that I have ever had), the service (Christine is wonderful) and the ambiance are all first class. Can't wait to come back!
It was my son’s 23rd birthday. It’s our favorite place for special occasions. We have celebrated many birthdays (mostly his, lol) and a graduation there. And a time or two was just for the heck of it. It’s a great place, staff is very peasant & attentive, the atmosphere is great. It’s not your average restaurant and it costs a little more, but so worth it, and portions are a good size as well. I definitely recommend it if you are in Montecito. I drive 281 miles several times a year to visit my son and go to Lucky’s 😉
A small group of friends went to Lucky's during restaurant week for a fixed price, three course meal. Sometimes, a restaurant will put small meals together that don't represent their best fare. Lucky's however, outdid themselves! On each of the courses there was at least one option of one of their favorite dishes. And all were amazingly wonderful! And the portions were the normal size for that dish.
The whole experience was quite fantastic! The staff was a little bit overworked, due to the large crowds, but they did a good job - just not quite a 5* experience due to being super busy. Overall - GREAT!
Delicious food and great/attentive service!
Thanks for making the birthday perfection and getting us to a table near the fireplace!
I love the food and service here! A true dining experience!
We dine at Lucky"s every time we visit Montecto. The staff is professional and very friendly. The food is always exceptional. Lucky's is the epitome of excellence.
We had great help in planning our dinner and similarly great food and service
This classic steakhouse wedged into the Lower Village lives up to all the hype. Great food and beverage provided by friendly and professional staff is a gem.
Lucky's has a great menu and a wine selection to match. The service was great and we would happily return.
We were seated at one of the least desirable tables (near service station) when we were one of the earliest customers (with a reservation); our table would have been empty in time for next reservation.
It was my 40th bday abs enjoyed every moment of it!! My favorite place when in town!!
The service and food were wonderful. Unfortunately, we were sat by a loud and obnoxious table that treated the place as if they were the only ones there. It was often times hard to communicate with our waitress absent a physical gesture to show what we asking for due to the noise. That was really the only detractor from the experience.
The perfect steak dinner for a special occasion -- for us, an overdue date night out! We ordered Lucky's salad as an appetizer, filet mignon with bearnaise sauce, broccolini and mushrooms. They were all perfection. Great service as well. Difficult to get a reservation, so we opted to go early (5pm). Didn't save room for dessert, maybe next time.
As always, the perfect place for Valentine's. We continue our tradition of a romantic evening at Lucky's on Valentine's.
All steaks are Prime. Go for the food and ambience.
Awesome service, food, and ambiance.
Requested a quite table and we were seated against the wall next to the fireplace. This place has been on my list for years; it lived up to my expectations. The steaks were phenomenal, and everything else just as good. I’ll be back.
Always fabulous! The special Matzo ball soup was delicious as were all our entree's. We had the chicken piccatta, wedge salad, filet and tuna. The service was excellent.
Amazing as always!!
A bit noisy and service was slow. Food was outstanding.
Another wonderful experience at Lucky's. Great steaks, great drinks, great atmosphere. Always a must whenever in the Santa Barbara area.
