- OTOpenTable DinervipBaja California •14 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoSeated at our reservation time. We ordered the duck hummus, baba ganoush, butter lettuces, cauliflower, lamb neck and beef cheeks. All excellent with the exception of the cauliflower which was good but not as stellar as the other dishes. Of course the star of the show here is the pita, of which we had to order a second helping of. Would like to return for dessert which we didn’t order this time. Service was pretty good and the cocktail / wine program was also on point.More infoBavelPrice: Expensive• Middle Eastern• Downtown•4.8
- CchristinekvipLos Angeles •34 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoPros: It's all about the food here. Favorites were the off-menu tuna tartare special and red snapper tagine. Cocktails were excellent, and the wine list was comprehensive and interesting. Our waiter guided us to order the right amount of food. Cons: It's so loud that it's hard to carry a conversation indoors. I also disliked that the manager set down the check before asking if there was anything else we'd like.More infoSaffy'sPrice: Expensive• Middle Eastern• East Hollywood•4.8
- WWWandaW1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoMy brain thank you for the culinary adventure and FUN it experiences when I dine here. My palette is always elevated by the simplicity of the combinations the chef combines. It's pure joy! The wait staff are so knowledgeable which makes interacting with them very educational. Everyone I have brought here loves the restaurant. Dare I say it's better than chi-town?More infoGirl & the Goat L.A.Price: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.8
- SBSeanBLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoIncredible experience for my wife’s birthday. The environment is chic and romantic yet fun and youthful. The aroma in the air lets you know you’re about to be in for a treat. The menu is different and I had to have an open mind being used to more tradition italian cuisine but once you can open your mind everything is delicious! The sauce on the pizza maybe a little too tangy and dark for my taste but that’s the east coaster in me being spoiled. I prefer a lighter sauce. Incredible staff, besides just being so attentive they are friendly. The staff also served as an extension of the menu and culture of the restaurant. They know the cuisine well and speak about the place with pride. I find this a rare thing in LA being used to the level of restaurants in NYC. This restaurant takes the entire experience very seriously and it shows. Highly recommendMore infoBestiaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
- ASAlanSLos Angeles •7 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2023Absolutely the best French toast I have ever eaten...all the food was great but the French toast stood out. Freaky day because it was not supposed to rain, but it's LA so of course it rained and we had windy gusts on the outside...BUT...Perch has blankets!. Yes and soft quality ones, so we were toasty even in the LA blizzard.More infoPerch LAPrice: Expensive• French American• Downtown•4.6

Think Los Angeles is a one-industry town? Think again. From the micro-Seoul of Koreatown to unexpected fusion cuisines (take Chinese-Mexican, for one) and strip malls that house destination restaurants, the city’s restaurant scene is notably experimental and diverse. Ask locals where to find the best taco truck (or lonchero) in the city, and you’ve struck a match. These mobile microenterprises are a part of the city's lifeblood. With L.A.’s own Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, describing the city as “less of a melting pot—more of a glittering mosaic,” we’re seeing L.A.’s vast palate show up on the plate.
