We always use Lola for a breakfast
Choice. Reliably consistent “good” restaurant but little variation over time. By far the best breakfast item is “Tom’s Favorite Breakfast” which contains octopus. It sounds disgusting but is delicious and not at all what one (or at least I) would imagine. Pancakes are fair.
First of all, the donut holes are delicious. I ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was fabulous, the dill was a nice touch. I would’ve loved it if I hadn’t had to fight through the extra-crunchy bread to get myself a bite. Truly, this bread was so tough a Wolverine would’ve had trouble gnawing Through it. And ham! So much ham! It was quite delicious but I ate what I could and boxed the other half of that pig up & gave it to a homeless guy, who’s probably still eating it. Nobody needs that much ham on eggs Benedict. But the donuts. The donuts were great!
Definitely love the doughnuts! However, our breakfast entrees were not as great. The potatoes were not hot and were hardened like they had been sitting for awhile.
Service was slow, not sure why as we saw many other tables being taken care of. However, as dinner progress the service was better.
Dont appreciate adding 20% for a tip. My server could have stepped it up a bit. If I give 20% it is for exceptional service. You are pricing your customers out and I will rethink my return to the restaurant. Great food ...too bad I don’t have tip options.
The noise level and erratic nature of the meal made it iffy if I would recommend to a friend. Some of the food was incredible and others just ok. The price point for smaller portions and erratic results and the noise level making it impossible to talk across the table, make it an occasional stop, not a frequent one.
The food was served after I almost gave up on it and when it did it was cold. We ordered roasted lamb (cold), a “spanakopita” which was basically an oversized samosa and a lamb burger. The food was bland while being overpriced! Oh, there’s a 20% service charge included on your bill automatically.
Excellent food always! My go to whenever I have people visiting Seattle.
The food was absolutely delicious! Great menu choices. Will definitely return on next visit to Seattle. You must try the doughnuts for dessert.
Portions for dinner were absolutely pitiful for the price. I took my friend from out of town here and I really really regret it!
We read all the rave reviews of the breakfast here and decided to try for Father’s Day since my husband loves eggs Benedict. He is quite picky and liked his breakfast very much. We are not easy to sometimes accommodate as we have one carnivore, two vegetarians and one gluten free diner. All but the gluten free diner had one than one choice. Service was attentive and friendly. Was told we were to expect a gift at the end of the meal, but none was given. All in all I would recommend Lola’s.
Great service and great food.
Lola is a must every time I visit Seattle. The food is delectable and the customer service is spot on. I couldn’t have asked for a better meal and customer care😊
Didn’t realize it was a bit of a tourist
Breakfast outing with hubs for his birthday. Donuts were expertly shaken and served. The cream and jam are delicious!
Lola has gotten worse. The service was terrible, slow, unfriendly and we found a half an entire eggshell (the size of two quarters) in our eggs Benedict. The server saw the egg shell and didn’t say anything or apologize for that matter.
We also substituted fruits instead of having potatoes and the fruit cane out dirty and unwashed. There was soil on our raspberries and blueberries. Very disappointed.
Having been to Lola’s for the past 5 years, I can say the quality and the service has gone down tremendously. Many other brunch options downtown that also don’t force a mandatory 20% service charge as well.
I recommend using yelp to find other brunch spots in the pike place area. Lola just isn’t the same anymore. My family and I won’t be revisiting.
Always a great experience. Our favourite place for breakfast or dinner or cocktails at the bar.
Food, service and presentation well above average as always.
Always a pleasure to dine at a Tom Douglas restaurant.
We picked this restaurant based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was great and the server was very attentive. We would be regulars at Lola if we lived there.
The food and service was excellent! No complaints here!
I live in another state and visit Lola every time I am in Seattle. It is consistently amazing, and I am so glad the breakfast menu still includes the smashed garlic fried potatoes and the doughnuts. Outstanding!
Great! Loved the food and cocktails
Lola seemed better than ever. Absolutely delicious food, a nice ambiance, and great friendly service.
Excellent set. My food was over-cooked which is unusual for Lola.
$89 for breakfast for three, and we were rushed out the door by our server and the hostess. Our server suggested an amount for her tip - gauche. Food was barely a step above iHop. Not recommended.
Amazing time and wonderful food and staff! ♥️
This is the second time in two months I have been to Seattle on business and the second time I have had dinner at Lola. Amazing! The food, the drinks, the service! Highly recommend this little gem. The only drawback is it can get noisy, but when you are enjoying good food and friends and family, a little noise is okay!
As vegetarians, we were absolutely thrilled with our choices at Lola’s! The reviews and menu brought us in. The wonderful service and food quality will draw us back! Our waitress was kind, smartly discouraged me from ordering extra pitas as the serving size was perfect! She checked back frequently to make sure! She explained the added on 20 percent quatuity and I loved that there is no extra tip line on the bill. Classy! We loved the portobello kebob and the red pepper spread and the kalamata fig spread! Special pitas...wow! Outstanding! A perfect lunch! Great, quiet location yet so near Pike Place and all downtown shops!
The service and the food were both perfect! The assorted spreads was what dreams are made of:)
We hadn't been here for a over a year. So pleasantly reassured that Lola is still on their A game! Superb meal with interesting and complementary flavors with each dish. Particularly loved the kabobs, and smashed potatoes, but the asparagus was also amazing. Desserts were the best! Service as usual was friendly, attentive and helpful. Tom Douglas has THE BEST employees! A+. Won't let another year go by before returning!
Food was fantastic and service was great. A little expensive but the quality of the food makes up for it.
Very good food and excellent service. Will definitely back!
One of the best meals I have had in a long time!
This place has a combination of excellent food and service. We brought our 3 month old and they were super nice and accommodating. My wife and I loved the experience and taste of each bite.
Convenient spot, and it was during the lunch rush, but I found the seating cramped and the environment very noisy.
The biggest turn offs were:
The menu was very limited for lunch and lacked good options for protein if you did not want breakfast. Serving size for the lamb kabob was absurdly small for the price, like an appetizer and the quality was mediocre.
The service was OVER attentive. It was clear I was trying to have a conversation with someone where, a friend I was trying to convince working for me. The server interrupted our conversation multiple times, like every 5 minutes, and it seemed he was more interested in flipping the table, but we were only there about 30-45 minutes. It was annoying, but I didn’t want to be rude, especially in front of a potential candidate for my team.
The cleanliness of the dining area was questionable. Everything felt greasy, the floor was slippery and I didn’t trust not slipping. Lola seems priced like a mid range Mediterranean restaurant, but seemed like a typical east coast greasy spoon Greek diner.
I’ve waited tables, I get it, resultant have good and bad days, especially in a rush, but this wasn’t worth $70 for a lunch for two.
We went to Lola for dinner as we do whenever we visit Seattle. Normally the food and service are excellent but one of our entrees arrived over cooked so we sent it back. The second time around it was raw. The item was removed from our bill but the experience dampened our enthusiasm for the restaurant. Hopefully it was just a glitch as we have never had a bad meal in the past...
This restaurant had great egg dishes for brunch. My friend hates the 20% automatic service charge that is added to the bill. I found the service to be okay. Not outstanding, but okay.
Food was delicious.
Food was excellent!!!!! Waitress explained the menu superbly. Oh did I say the food was excellent!!! Would recommend Lola’s to my friends.
