Located close to the corner of Glenmore and Macleod we are Calgary's first Brazilian BBQ style restaurant. At Bolero the customer is in charge of the timing on our wide selection of churrasco(skewers) to be brought to your table by our Gaucho Chefs. Green means go and Red means stop. A perfect setting for any festive occasion as we offer a wide range of different, cocktails, wine, and beer. Dining with friends and family was meant to be fun, the Brazilian way!

The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is the new fine dining facility located in the restored Ranche House. Their menu features a contemporary interpretation of Alberta regional cuisine. Today, the flavours and traditions of Alberta’s ranching heritage live on at the Bow Valley Ranche. Our Grand Salon holds approximately 110-120 guests. William Roper Hull and Senator Patrick Burns hold approximately 30-32 guests. Our John Glenn room, located in the upstairs, old master bedroom of the house, holds approximately 12 guests.

Sit down beside the massive fireplace in the Grand Salon or enjoy the covered wrap-around veranda during warm weather. Enjoy lunch, dinner, cocktails or weekend brunch. Reservations are recommended. Please note that we do not take reservations for the patio.

As always our meal was excellent as was the service. Heartland is our favourite restaurant and we don't think twice about driving from Calgary for a meal. The salted caramel cheesecake could not have been tastier!

I was seated upstairs, it is more private and the chairs are comfortable and you get the Mountain View which is a nice touch. Served is attentive, food is good. Highly recommend to get a reservation as this place seems to be really popular to locals and visitor alike

Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra.

We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef.

We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

Francis took excellent care of us tonight and made some great suggestions we went with. The Muscles & Fries were excellent as an appie. My wife had the Scallops which were the largest that we have seen in a long time. They were grilled perfectly and were delicious. I had the Duo of Wild Boar also cooked to perfection and were quite tasty. Very nice dessert choices so we had two of Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Always love the Atmosphere at The Lake House. See you soon from Canmore !

Excellent evening! We were given a private dinning area just big enough for our table of 6 to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. Service was warm and friendly, and the server was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended the best Canadian red wine I have ever had. The food was delicious and very nicely presented, whoever, if you are looking for value in terms of quantity vs price, this is not the place to find it.

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.

The four-diamond Cannery Restaurant of today is reminiscent of its former life as a canning factory in the 1800s, where Niagara peaches and tomatoes were canned until 1957. Amazing food - the prime rib was cooked to perfection. (rare) and their local veggies are so good. Husband had the salmon over quinoa and he ate every single morsel it was that good. Shared a. Mocha crème brûlée for dessert. Our server Sue was so friendly, enjoyed talking to her. Definitely will return.

The atmosphere is beautiful—dimly lit with warm highlights, cozy but still easy to chat and see everyone at the table. Service was fast and available in both French and English. The food was incredible. Portion sizes are great—ideal for one very hungry person or to share with a child if you’re not starving. The drinks were also a highlight: visually stunning and delicious. Now, a few downsides: while the experience was great overall, I didn’t feel the staff were fully ready to accommodate small children (ours is 3 years old). We were seated at a high table, and although we asked to switch, they couldn’t find a regular-height one. Maybe they didn’t have it, maybe they weren’t eager to seat kids near other guests—hard to say. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, let’s say it was due to availability. Also, no booster seat was offered until I specifically requested one—my son was kneeling on the chair to reach his plate. Once asked, they brought it quickly. At first, drinks like water and juice were served in regular glasses, and only later did someone bring a kid-sized glass for water. But for juice, the large glass came again, so we had to help him drink. Lastly, our drinks were forgotten and only arrived after the food, but once we reminded them, it was sorted. Great atmosphere and very tasty food! The service was great! There was a hair on the plate, when brought up to the waiter attention he took the plate and replaced it with a clean plate. It would of been nice to hear an apology and maybe offer a free glass of wine as a kind gesture for the inconvenience. A little bit of empathy goes a long way! Thank you for the great food!
