i don’t know if Bar Isabel is the best restaurant in Toronto, but if it is not then it is in the top two. every dish we ordered was so exceptional. we were hard pressed to pick a favourite. the only regret is its hard to get a reservation. service was attentive without being obtrusive. a wonderful experience.

Drinks and food were wonderful. I had the Euphorie cocktail and my husband had an old fashioned. Both were excellent. We had the mushroom ravioli and foie grois with “creme brûlée”. Both were delicious. Entrees were beef bourginon, duck breast with wild berries, scallops and lobster, and chicken breast with Brie. All were fantastic and the presentation was excellent. We finished with chocolate mousse, creme brûlée, napoleon, and Chambord soufflé. The soufflé and mousse were the best. Service was superb, from wine recommendations to attentiveness. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

The food was excellent not to mention superbly delicious. We especially loved that as each course was served, the servers told us what the dish entailed ( special ingredient , a special spice, etc.). This very much adds to the dinning experience. I had a cocktail that was new to the menu (Fall Garden, I believe it was called) and really enjoyed it ( not too sweet) and my husband enjoyed his martini so “ kodos” to the bartender!!! (I think she was also our server). All in all, a great dining experience. We will be back …. And we will bring friends!!!

Food here is an adventure. The slaw is the best salad in Toronto hands down. Crunchy, crisp, zesty and refreshing. We also had the braised beef gyoza. Outstanding. Period. The place itself is a stunner. The service is absolutely on par. We were there for drinks but we couldn't help but be tempted by the shishito peppers and boy, did they disappoint!!! Drinks were fabulous as well and the bar staff was uber nice. I will most definitely be adding Marked to our regular rotation when we're down in Toronto!

Make this a destination when in Vancouver. Travelling from the UK we were given the place as a must go to, by a Canadian friend and it didn’t disappoint. Great staff, wine list carefully created and the sommelier helped us find the perfect match for our food, and the food was perfect, two of our group had a pasta dish which they raved about, my friend and I had the pork belly special that was cooked perfectly. The ambience is buzzy but not overbearing, people waxing lyrical about the food no doubt. Will return if ever back in Vancouver !

First time here and will definitely be back. We were thrilled to find this amazing restaurant open on a Monday! Food was beautifully presented. My salmon dish was delicious- the skin was crispy and tasty on a beet, arugula and goat cheese bed. The wine pairing was perfect. Our server Naomi was very professional and knowledgeable. Beautiful setting.
