Short a-la-carte menu and a four course set. A-la-carte is small sharing plates. We went for the set. Minestrone soup like you've never tasted, fresh and vibrant with raw courgette, homemade sun-dried cherry tomatoes, lots of fresh herbs. Skate wing en papilotte, but rather than steamed in paper, steamed in leaves served with cuttlefish popcorn. Slices of belly pork with a sweet red pepper sauce. Strawberries and custard, fine dining style. Ask for the 'other' wine list and don't be embarrassed to ask for help/recommendations. Very approachable, professional and knowledgeable staff, not at all stuffy. 'Service' is included in the item prices. They pay a proper wage rather than relying on customer tips. This attracts the best. Thanks guys.
