We have been wanting to try this welcome addition to the Pittsburgh dining scene for some time now, but have been rather lazy about it, generally just repeatedly heading to the same old favorites. Now we have a new, fantastic addition to that list. It took a landmark wedding anniversary to get us to Altius at last, and we were pleased by our selection in every conceivable way. Although we expected the view to be breathtaking (as it was), we were not prepared for how the ambience inside the restaurant was equally delightful. The service ranks among the best we've ever experienced---and we've dined in superb spots on four continents. Altius ranks among the best places we've ever eaten.

Having been a customer for over 50 years, I appreciated the the new, softer colored walls. I didn't like the smaller tables and how close they were to the next one. We all loved the shared oyster mushroom fritti though at $19, expensive. Whole Foods has fresh oyster mushrooms. My husband loved the cheese cake with berries and is still is still raving about it. The couple at the table loved it too. I ordered what was listed as a butterscotch tart. I make butterscotch and I have no idea what my dessert was. Not butterscotch. Disappointing. But, we will return. Last night a friend was telling me how much she loves the new bar and the bar menu so I will try that soon.

Reservations were for 5:00pm; we were seated by 5:30. The restaurant was full, even at that early dinner hour. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was prepared very well. The three star review was based on what appears to be a cheap electrical fix for a light on the wall by the booth in which we sat. I dropped nearly $200 for a dinner for two (no alcoholic drinks) and it looked like someone spent $1.99 for some cable twists instead of rewiring the fixture. Honestly, I thought “if this is what the public sees, what does the kitchen look like?”

Food here is absolutely amazing. Ate here twice during a vacation in the area. The wait staff is incredible. You are able to sit and enjoy your food without the rush of getting up from your seat in a certain amount of time. The sangria is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The sangria is prepared tableside giving it a special flare. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re in the area would definitely recommend !!!!

We celebrated our anniversary and it was absolutely beautiful! We requested a table by the window and during a call to confirm our reservation they stated they would do their best to accommodate but there were no guarantees. When we arrived they offered us the option for their last outdoor patio table or indoor. We opted for outside since the weather was so nice! We are so happy we did! Our table out on the patio had an awesome view of the sunset and the city. The background music , the service and the food and drinks were perfect. Thank you for such a memorable and amazing experience. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back.

The food is fresh, delicious, and very well priced for the portion and quality. My family and I usually order takeout and enjoy it at the beach nearby. The food is perfectly suited for a casual picnic. As it was rainy winter’s day, we dined in. The macadamia crusted fish is always a hit. I highly recommend it as well as the rib and chicken plate. Ask your server for off the menu specials in case you’re looking for something different from the usual menu. The quality and freshness of the mac/nut fish is on par and surpasses some of the more upscale, expensive, 5 star restaurants in San Diego. Their appetizers are also delightful, like the coconut shrimp. The servers and front of house staff are kind and attentive; and make great recommendations. Our server was very kind to offer a complimentary dessert as a couple in our party was celebrate their wedding anniversary. This is great place to dine in the village with family and out of town guests. The patio offers a lovely view of the beach and coastline. Overall, a wonderful experience as always.

I couldn't get a reservation on my birthday, so I made one for my mom and me three days later. She bowed out at the last minute, but I was eager to eat here and went solo. They were kind enough to give me a table (for 4!) with a view. I also got complimentary champagne, a cocktail, and dessert! Most of what I had was amazing. I highly recommend the goat cheese croquettas, and the European sea bass was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I also suggest listening to the wait staff's recommendations! Thank you, El Five, for making my birthday so special. Can't wait to come back.

Beautiful waterfront restaurant. There were 5 of us and we had 4 appetizers and 5 different main courses and everything was wonderful. I won’t go through the dishes individually because my understanding is that the menus changes very frequently. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented well. I was there for a business dinner however, it would be a great place for a romantic evening with your partner. I will warn you. It’s not inexpensive. The bill for the 5 of us was north of $700. And we didn’t buy any expensive bottles of wine. Just a few individual glasses and a couple of folks had a cocktail.

My partner and I were visiting Pismo Beach for the first time and loved the location right on the, the patio at sunset was spectacular. We enjoyed the fresh oyster selection, the crudo pepper seared hamachi, was incredible. I enjoyed the black cod. Absolutely the best French toast I have ever eaten...all the food was great but the French toast stood out. Freaky day because it was not supposed to rain, but it's LA so of course it rained and we had windy gusts on the outside...BUT...Perch has blankets!. We had an excellent dinner and outstanding service provided by our waiter, Matt. He was extremely accommodating and very gracious. We sat in the bar area and the piano player, Howard, played beautiful piano music while we ate. If you haven’t tried the Summit restaurant, I highly recommend sitting near the bar area which is quite cozy so you can be serenaded by one of the best piano players in Orange County. The Christmas decorations were still up making the perfect ambiance for a wonderful evening at the Summit Restaurant.

The food was great! We all enjoyed our entrees. The view and experience were neat. Our server Juvi was amazing! So kind, sweet and helpful. And very patient with our kids.

Atmosphere and food choices very unique; the wood fire smell lingers throughout the restaurant giving it a true florida feel. Meals were a bit pricey but nothing is quite like this restaurant. I had the chili; where else can you get a combination of Alligator, wild boar, venison, duck, ground chuck, cranberry beans and chili spices?! Was tender and so filling!
