I have dined at this restaurant on several occasions previously and had a very positive experience, which was the case again on this visit. The decor and ambience is very understated and elegant and the atmosphere is relaxed with friendly and motivated staff. On this occasion, I felt the service at the beginning was a little slow in terms of acquiring menus and taking orders. This was possibly due to multiple tables all ready to order at the same time, one main waiter that I could see, (there may have been more) and not wanting to overwhelm the kitchen. Having said that, both the waiter and Manager were very professional and attentive when you did require service. I had the 3 course set lunch menu which was great value, a high standard of cooking and a generous portion size. My friend chose from the al a carte menu and she declared that her roasted cauliflower dish was truly delicious, so full flavour and beautifully presented. We did not feel rushed during our visit having spent approximately 2 and half hours over lunch and the settlement of the bill was easy and correct. The restaurant is spotless as are the restrooms and it is very clear that the Manager and his team take great pride in making their clients experience a positively memorable one. This restaurant deserves it's many accolades and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for good authentic food and friendly service.

What a treat. It’s not often I choose to write about my meal, but the GB deserves to be recognized! Creative, thoughtful menu, excellent caring staff, lovely calm and elegant setting, that matches the rest of what is likely one of the finest hotels in the UK, and beyond. Don’t be fooled by the name that leads you to think traditional English food. The Brasserie Chef goes above and beyond in executing a world class, Asian influenced meal. From the “Dancing Prawns” to the Short Rib, to the highly unusual Sashimi pasta, and finally, the Pandan Bread Pudding, there wasn’t a miss. This place is calling you to have your next special occasion. Listen to the call.

We also have a selection of Vegetarian, Halal and Fish dishes on offer and the salad bar which is the perfect start to your meal, and accompanies our entire menu perfectly as little palate cleansers between each skewer that reaches your table.

Set in a charismatic 16th century building, diners can expect food of the highest standards, made using the finest local and seasonal produce and lovingly prepared by a small team of chefs led by Head Chef & Director Lee Adams.

In addition to the food, we offer a selection of fine wines, quirky cocktails, and have a collection of over 25 craft gins available.

World War I poet Siegfried Sassoon lived in Matfield and is the inspiration behind our name. Sassoon was awarded the Military Cross for "conspicuous gallantry" and later won acclaim for his writing. We're pretty sure he would have loved our food too!

A warm welcome awaits diners from General Manager and Director Tom Haacke and his team. We look forward to seeing you!

About the restaurant
Trinity reopened in October 2015 with the same ethos, culture and team whilst recreating a new and refreshing backdrop - retaining its sophistication and remaining a restaurant of significance in Clapham.
An alfresco dining area accommodates 16 guests, the dining room seating 40 guests that now have a clear view into an open plan kitchen with banquette seating surrounded by the soft hues of jade green and dusty heather pink.
Staying true to his style of cookery, the new menu will focus on Adam’s interpretation of great classics in a relaxed and approachable setting.
The kitchen presents a four course a la carte menu for a set price of £70 for lunch and £120 for dinner. The wine list continues to offer great value with the Chef's Cellar List (just add VAT and corkage), increasing both our quantity and quality and a overall extension to the main wine list of up to 400 bins now on display in the feature wine cellar on the ground floor.
