We ate early so the noise level was very tolerable but with band coming into the bar and more guests, there was significant increase in the nose level. Conversation was becoming quite difficult, unfortunately a chronic situation in many restaurants in Montreal. The food was fabulous as was our waitress. Will return with guests, but at 17:30!!

Bonterra is one of our go-to restaurants, the food is always amazing and the ambience is excellent! I usually go during warmer weather to sit on the best patio in Calgary, but new years day in Calgary is not conducive to dining al fresco :-) so this was my first time dining inside - not as lovely as the patio of course but it was still very nice. The food was so good - there was 6 of us for a birthday dinner and so we were able to try a good variety of items on the menu, everything was well prepared and delicious, and the Bartender's Baby cocktail special was a big hit. Best of all was our server, she was an absolute delight and very attentive and friendly (without overdoing it).

We had not been here for years… that was dumb! We had a wonderful dinner. Campari and soda, then a reasonably-priced and delicious pitcher of Bordeaux, just enough for 3 glasses… the restaurant brings bread (the best we had in the city!) and butter and rillettes (also the best we have had). I had the special, Camembert roti over thinly -sliced endive with a mustard-seed vinaigrette… inventive and delicious. My husband had the lamb shank which was beautiful and really good, and I had quenelles, which I rarely see on menus and these were amazing. We were seated at the window. My only complaint is that there was very little room between the tables for two at the window… I would take out the one nearest the door! The servers were very sweet and efficient and we had a wonderful time.

Make this a destination when in Vancouver. Travelling from the UK we were given the place as a must go to, by a Canadian friend and it didn’t disappoint. Great staff, wine list carefully created and the sommelier helped us find the perfect match for our food, and the food was perfect, two of our group had a pasta dish which they raved about, my friend and I had the pork belly special that was cooked perfectly. The ambience is buzzy but not overbearing, people waxing lyrical about the food no doubt. Will return if ever back in Vancouver !

Even tho the cost was fairly high the food was excellent. Portions are too large as even an 8 oz prime rib roast was monstrous! Big portions of side vegetables is enough for 3-4 people. Great food, very good service, but have to comment on the noise level. It is a high class place so not sure why they need to have the music so loud. That just makes people have to talk even louder to have a conversation. Definitely still recommend, but would be much better if they simply turned the dance music down.

We booked an early table for 5pm so we coukd go to the Art gallery of Nova Scotia after dinner. There were other early diners and a nice ambience. We have been here once before, about a year ago and enjoyed it. After a friendly greeting we were taken uostairs to our table. The service was excellent and so friendly. We shared the crab cakes starter...delicious. i had the shrimp tagliatelle and my wofe the chicken and corn and bith mains were well oresented snd tasted great. There was a choice of 3 deserts and pur choices were aldo lovely. Overall we had a fantastic time in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I have seen some reviews discussing dress code. Althoigh we were "smart casual" there were diners in t dhirts and non-dress jeans with no issues so i eoukd guess just chill and wear ehats cpmfortable for you.

My wife and I come from one of the culinary capitals of the country - Chatleston, SC - so our standards are pretty high. Well Treadwell did not disappoint! From the moment we checked in the hostess took us both inside and outside so we could decide the atmosphere we liked best. Once we chose outdoors on the covered patio we were promptly met by a fantastic, fun, knowledgeable and attentive server. All four courses were amazing but there were two standouts. The heirloom tomatoes with basil gelato was a masterpiece neither me nor my wife had ever experienced before. And the chocolate tart covered with peanut butter ice cream and paired with a delicious cup of coffee sealed the deal! Everything was done impeccably. When we come back to NOTL this will be on our MUST DO list.

We had brunch here on New Year’s Day, being seated at a lovely corner table to take in the magnificent view. The view is reason enough to spend time here. Our entrees were delicious - the crab cake benny and the classic breakfast with sausage. Our only issues were that the server was a bit brusque and never came by to offer a coffee refill. We flagged down the maitre d who apologized that they were very busy. Aside from that understandable lapse, we recommend this restaurant for the fabulous view and delicious food.
