Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. Chaplin's is located in the heart of the Historic Shaw neighborhood. And it is open until last call 7 days a week. Chaplin's received a Plate certification in the Michelin Guide in 2020. The food was authentic as can be!!! We are huge Mediterranean eaters. Everything was great. Owner came out to check on us twice. Gave us free hummus to try, which was outstanding. Don’t think it’s pricy cause the food was plentiful.

This place used to be my favorite when I was in town. However, since last October they seem to have gotten a new chef and changed the menu. I used to get the vegetable kabobs and now those are off the menu. The chicken kabobs were okay, but the garlic aioli wasn’t seasoned and didn’t taste like garlic. The angus kabobs had a good flavor, but weird texture. The mojitos, which are usually my favorite part of the restaurant, weren’t mixed and were pure syrup until I mixed it with my straw. I’ll give it another try next time I’m in town, but if it’s anything like this visit, I don’t think I’ll be back.

The chicken parm was great but the penne had no flavor whatsoever. The bruschetta was also pretty bland and not that great. The bread was harder than it should be. However, the house bread was delicious!!! The service was also excellent.

We chose Don Jorge's at the last minute as there were not a lot of choices on a Saturday night. The reviews looked good, so we gave it a try. We are so glad we did! If you like Tex-Mex food, this is the place to go. There was a DJ that also sang and had a surprisingly good voice. The decor is simple yet clean. And the food was great. Everything we tried was perfect including the freshly made salsa. If you are in the mood for Tex-Mex, I would highly recommend Don Jorge's!

Had a wonderful business lunch for 3. Guests told me the mahi mahi AND the fish and chips were wonderful. As for me, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was perfection! Service is outstanding and, as always, chef Abraham visited our table and made us feel like family. This place is a MUST for a business lunch!

Love this place!! It is a delicious hidden gem, for sure! The Chef and staff were so very sweet, the chips and 2 types of hot sauces were addictive--and that is a measure of how great a restaurant is...which didn't disappoint. The fusion menu offered a variety of different dishes, and the four of us tried different entrees, an appetizer, and the truffle fries. It was all wonderful, the drinks were delicious, and we will be back!!

Went to watch the game. Love the ambiance but the food was pretty basic American baseball stadium food. I honestly was expecting more with being in a really nice area in downtown. The salad was a huge of bowl of just lettuce, the hot dog was really hard to eat with the massive bun it came with, tacos were the best choice. Drinks are good. I just wanted something a little more than hot dogs nachos and burgers. Maybe a chartcuterrie board or something more upscale that this place portrays

We hadn't been to Liberty Tavern for brunch since 2020 and were delighted with how it has adapted to post-pandemic life. Instead of a buffet, our server brought unlimited small plates, from delicious salads, to eggs, avocado toast, tender sirloin, biscuits, and an assortment of desserts. We will definitely return.

I love this place. The food is excellent as always, the service is great, the employees are polite, and the owner is very welcoming. The entertainment is also great but I will say that it can get pretty loud indoors when the bands are playing. That being said, the covered outdoor patio area is perfect for me. I absolutely love it. If you want Mediterranean food, an excellent hookah, and a place to enjoy friends and make new ones, Zikrayet never disappoints. Enjoy.

The service was excellent. When we told our server that the coffee was very weak, he replaced it with freshly brewed coffee and was completely gracious about it. When our first course was not hot enough, he again gladly had it re-made without any grumbling. Instead, he treated us to free glasses of champagne for the inconvenience.
