About the restaurant
Founded in late November 2016, 3Fils is piloted by a team who live by a diehard daringness to be different, to offer a story akin to the ‘2 cents worth’ [cents being the equivalent to fils in UAE] opinion of dining in Dubai’ with every bite. With harbour-side community-style dining, 3Fils serves up premium Asian dishes with a Japanese twist as its focus. The 3Fils team is a family, available whenever you need them for anything, removing the ‘personal waiter’ vibe of hospitality. They will help elevate your dining experience with a sense of comfort, discovery and sharing. No matter your attire, our home is your home and the doors will always be open for you.

Lovely place and good food. However a bad experience given that I had booked for the Summer Restaurant Week only to find out that the set menu would mean ‘smaller’ servings and ordering from the A la Carte menu (which we did) cost the same for much more by way of servings and choice. Tbh it’s the server who gave us this heads up, when asked as we suspected it on seeing the menu. I don’t see the point in restaurants offering these ‘set menus’ which is supposed to offer value but in reality is just masquerading with smaller servings and limited choices. Not a good look for a highly rated ‘Michelin Star’ restaurant!!!

Good Indian restaurant but I don’t think it’s worth the Michelin Bib. The food was great and the quality was at a high level. In addition, the service was precise and helpful. Nevertheless, I’ve been to a few Indian restaurants in Dubai and the food was not as special nor interesting as the others. The only dish that stood out was the smoked Jack fruit Taco.

About the restaurant
Dubai’s first and only all-vegetarian degustation fine dining experience. Also caters to vegan and gluten-free diets on request.
The menu is inspired by humble seasonal ingredients, that are pure, clean, natural, and energy-containing. The cuisine uses fresh produce and dairy products from local farms. The restaurant is driven by the culinary maestro, Chef Rahul Rana, who has a rich background in curating vegetarian and patisserie concepts in culinary arts. The menu at AVATARA will showcase a modern avatar of the techniques, philosophy, and story of soulful Indian food. Indian cuisine was originally predominantly vegetarian. However, the perceptions around vegetarian food have been that of limitations. The idea is to break through these perceptions and curate a unique vegetarian fine dining experience.

Overall a very unique experience to explore a different perspective in a cuisine that is often misunderstood and not fully realised. One suggestion based on my personal experience would be to flag the sorbet dishes to provide individuals with sensitive teeth a heads up to not get a sudden shock. Otherwise really enjoyed the service and the food there!

The star of the dinner experience is the food itself. It’s one of the most satisfying meal we’ve ever had in Dubai, from the presentation to the well executed balance of the dishes. We took advantage of the restaurant week and ordered the special menu for the event. We had the terrine and oysters for appetisers, the terrine is so authentically French, each morsel is a trip to the French countryside. For the main course we had the beef cheeks braised in red wine sauce literally melt in your mouth, and the cod fish so excellently complimented with a white sauce of subtle richness, it was simply divine. Bonus was a reasonably priced wine list. The service was attentive without being intrusive, thank you Simon. Ambiance was moderate chic, they can do with more plants to make the otherwise cavernous space cozier. All in all - a fantastic experience we would like to repeat. We even advertised it to our friends for the restaurant week event. Highly recommended.

About the restaurant
Run by a team of ambitious women, striving for culinary greatness and excellent service, Fi’lia celebrates a genuine approach to Italian cuisine with a hint of Mediterranean influence.

Fi’lia is committed to authenticity and honesty. The menu is inspired by the recipes and traditions that were passed on from one generation of women to the next and the name for the concept is born from this generational approach. From “Nonna,” Italian for grandmother, to “Mamma,” Italian for mother and “figlia” - now “Fi’lia,” Italian for “daughter,” adding a modern twist to traditional and much-loved Italian-Mediterranean dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients.

Fi’lia Dubai marks the fourth opening globally and the very first in the Middle East for the concept. The restaurant is helmed by Chef Celia Stoecklin and her team of talented women. From the restaurant management to service, the incredible female-led team brings the authenticity of Fi’lia to life.

My third visit, my son's and husband's first and we had a wonderful experience. The food remains superb - could eat that Fi'liamisu ever day - and the drinks were excellent. Went for the Summer Restaurant Week offer and the set menu was good. Quantity is a bit less than usual but can only be expected for the price we paid. Definitely coming back for the brunch so my family can experience it as well.

About the restaurant
Everything started from its geographical location.

The restaurant is suspended, as though floating, in the heart of a sweltering city district, in the center of the world, yet in the middle of the desert.

Ninive is designed as a contemporary urban majlis between a garden and a caravanserai. In Islamic culture, the majlis is the space where one meets to make decisions.

It needed a name that represented this meeting, preserving its link to the history of the region.

Now, according to researchers, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the only Wonder of the World never found, would have flourished in ancient Ninive, one of the oldest cities of Mesopotamia.

This name requires authenticity, it induces a thousand stories that carry the legend.

This is how Ninive was born.

All the experience was very nice, we just had a little miscommunication but when fixed all was perfect, however the room was very cold 🥶 because of the AC and we were freezing, that also makes the food get cold very fast, other than that we really liked it and for sure will be back!

The food was superb, and I liked the quirky decor. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that whilst the service was friendly and polite, it wasn’t very attentive. I had to refill my own water glass each time, and they took my empty cocktail glass without asking if I’d like to order another. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t object to topping up my own water, it’s just not like the normal Michelin star service you’d expect.
