We came here to celebrate a birthday with a group of 9. We sat outside on the patio. The patio was lovely and comfortable. Service was very good even with the 2 flights of stairs the servers have to deal with. The food was amazing. Appetizers and main courses were spot on. Everyone loved their dishes. Seafood risotto with lobster sauce 10/10! The staff was friendly and helpful - offering to take a few bday pics for us even as we stayed past kitchen hours. Lovely bday dessert was offered as well. I would really give this a 4.75 if possible. The only issue - some friendly rodents running though the bushes but hey , it's the city and you're outside, so you deal with it.

Went here for the first time for a birthday. I did not even have to say anything and they brought out a treat just from me listing birthday on the reservation. Food was excellent and the Jiaozi was the some of the best food I have had in awhile!

Never been to the GT Prime Steakhouse but saw it had good ratings & close to the Waldorf Astoria where I was staying & wanted to try a new restaurant. My daughter said her office often eats there aft wrk & like it. We ordered many of the items from cocktails, appetizers to steaks, vegan options, fish, desserts, I the whole nine yards. The Ambience, staff, food & service was exceptional. The surprise star of the night was the Mediterranean fish! So yummy, my daughter ordered it not even knowing what it would be & we all tried it, it was awesome! We would definitely come back again when in town & knowing that it doesn’t disappoint & also would recommend it to others.

One of if not the best prix fixe Tasting menus in the world! 4course with a choice of 3 in each course puts 4 selections at hand for choosing. Each is wonderful, desert can be a cheese plate or a chocolate cake. Wagyu cod or rabbit main course. Get the wine pairing. Outstanding cocktails service and setting.

From start to finish, this was a fabulous experience. The setting of the restaurant, in the heart of downtown Chicago, is beautiful, and since the weather was beautiful, we ate on the patio with a wonderful view of the riverfront and skyline. Service was outstanding, as was the food. Highly recommend the prime roll, sea bass, and grouper.

Cannot beat this atmosphere for an after work drink/dinner on a sunny summer day! Very loud however so be prepared if you have a group or anyone who might have a hearing loss. Not the location for a quiet dinner discussion! Food was excellent. The server was very nice but not enough help for the number of tables/guests and you waited a long time to get served, etc. However, given the ambience, it’s not the worst thing as you have plenty to look at and enjoy in terms of the views, etc.

Vajra is an excellent restaurant. Amid COVID-19 concerns, each party was seated far from anyone else. Everything was handled professionally and hygienically. Servings are large and we took enough to have another meal. I highly recommend!
